040bf14c10 arm64: dts: freescale: imx8mn-var-som: Rework WiFi/BT and add legacy dts
The VAR-SOM-MX8MN currently integrates the NXP IW61x wireless module,
providing WiFi over SDIO and Bluetooth over UART.

Move the wireless module configuration out of the base
imx8mn-var-som.dtsi and provide dedicated variant includes.
The IW61x configuration is moved to imx8mn-var-som-wifi-bt-iw61x.dtsi
and used by the Symphony evaluation board device tree.

A separate imx8mn-var-som-wifi-brcm-legacy.dtsi include is added to keep
the configuration for the legacy Broadcom SDIO WiFi module used on
earlier SOM revisions.

To preserve compatibility with older SOM revisions, add a separate
imx8mn-var-som-symphony-legacy.dtb, which disables the IW61x setup and
applies the Broadcom-specific configuration.

The Broadcom-based SOM revision is no longer in production, but support
is kept for existing users.

This keeps the VAR-SOM-MX8MN support aligned with the existing
VAR-SOM-MX8MM implementation.

42a066c24c arm64: dts: freescale: imx8mn-var-som: Add MCP251xFD CAN controller
Add support for the Microchip MCP251xFD CAN-FD controller connected
to the SPI bus on the i.MX8MN VAR-SOM.

The controller uses a 40 MHz external oscillator and requires an
interrupt line and a dedicated RX interrupt GPIO.

Add the fixed clock, the MCP251xFD device node with the required
properties, and the corresponding pinctrl configuration.

ed99c5c5c5 arm64: dts: freescale: imx8mn-var-som: Add support for WM8904 audio codec
The VAR-SOM-MX8MN can integrate the WM8904, a high-performance
ultra-low-power stereo codec optimized for portable audio applications.

Add the WM8904 device to the appropriate I2C bus, enable the SAI
peripheral, and introduce the sound node to expose the sound card to the
system.

a6c8d4f9c2 arm64: dts: freescale: imx8mn-var-som: Update FEC support with MaxLinear PHY
Update the FEC Ethernet controller on the i.MX8MN VAR-SOM to match the
latest SOM hardware revision using the integrated MaxLinear MXL86110 PHY.

Add the PHY VDDIO supply regulator and adjust reset timings.

The PHY LED signals originate on the SOM, but the actual LEDs are part
of the carrier implementation (RJ45 connector). Move the LED
configuration to the Symphony carrier device tree, matching the
evaluation board LED wiring.

Wake-on-LAN via magic packet is not supported at the VAR-SOM level and
is therefore not enabled in the SOM device tree nor in the official
evaluation carrier board configuration (symphony).
Designs requiring WoL support may enable it in their own carrier-specific
device trees if properly integrated at the hardware level.

Reformat the fsl, pins tables in the i.MX8MN VAR-SOM device tree to use
consistent column alignment across all pinctrl groups.

Align the entries to match the formatting already used in the

for improved readability and consistency.

43c17d8629 arm64: dts: freescale: imx9-var-dart-sonata: fix Ethernet PHY configuration
Fix the Ethernet PHY description on the DART-MX9 Sonata boards.

The GPIO previously described as the PHY reset line is actually a
board-level enable signal required by the PHY. Model it accordingly and
remove the incorrect reset GPIO description from the PHY nodes.

On i.MX91 and i.MX93 the signal is described as a fixed regulator,
whereas the existing regulator description on i.MX95 is reused.

Keeping the PHY enable asserted during boot ensures that Ethernet

5e7e00f811 arm64: dts: s32g: describe GPIO and EIRQ resources in SIUL2 pinctrl node
Update the SIUL2 pinctrl node to describe the additional register
ranges and DT properties used by the updated SIUL2 driver.

Besides the MSCR and IMCR ranges used for pinmux and pin

PGPDI registers for GPIO output and input operations,
as well as an EIRQ register window for external interrupt configuration.

The driver supports both legacy pinctrl-only DTs and
extended DTs with GPIO and IRQ.

Reflect these resources in the SIUL2 pinctrl node by adding:
  - the PGPDO and PGPDI register ranges
  - the EIRQ register range
  - gpio-controller, #gpio-cells and gpio-ranges
  - interrupt-controller, #interrupt-cells and interrupts

Keep the hardware description aligned with the updated SIUL2
driver, where pinctrl, GPIO data access and the EIRQ register
block are described under the same device node.

eeaf1a44be arm64: dts: imx943-evk: add PCIe root port node and according properties
Since describing the PCIe PERST# property under Host Bridge node is now
deprecated, it is recommended to add it to the Root Port node, so creating
the root port node and add the reset-gpios property in root port.

Move the regulator to root port nodes as well, because that the PCI pwrctrl
framework had been integrated into pci-imx6 driver.

The backward compatibility is not a concern since i.MX94 is a newly
introduced platform that is still under active development.

b1b6c1c4d3 arm64: dts: imx8mp-ab2: Enable MU2 for DSP communication
Enable the MU2 (Message Unit 2) node on the i.MX8MP Audio Board v2.
MU2 is required for inter-processor communication between the
application CPU and the HiFi4 DSP, allowing DSP firmware to exchange
control and status messages with the Linux host.

Without this change, the DSP driver cannot establish the message
channel and DSP audio processing is non-functional.

3385e2f771 arm64: dts: freescale: imx95-toradex-smarc: add alias for lpuart5
Add alias for lpuart5 so the UART gets a stable line number.
Without this alias, the lpuart driver fails:

This prevents the Bluetooth controller connected to this UART from
working.
