c5b962b602 pinctrl: renesas: gpio: support software nodes for function GPIOs
This patch extends the sh-pfc GPIO driver to support software-node-based
configuration for the secondary 'function' GPIO chip.

While the primary GPIO chip typically uses the firmware node attached to
the parent platform device, the secondary chip should target a specific
child node to avoid ambiguity when defining GPIO hogs or properties.

Update gpio_function_setup() to look for a child node named 'functions',
but only when the parent is a software node. This ensures the behavior
is restricted to legacy platforms being migrated to software nodes.

4c870bbaba pinctrl: renesas: gpio: isolate function gpiochip from parent fwnode
The sh-pfc driver registers two separate gpiochip instances: one for
real GPIOs and another for function GPIOs. Since both share the same
parent platform device, gpiolib's fallback logic causes both chips to
share the same firmware node (fwnode).

This causes ambiguity when using software nodes to describe GPIOs, as
gpiolib may apply hogs meant for one chip to the other if they share the
same node.

Explicitly set gc->fwnode to ERR_PTR(-ENODEV) for the function GPIO
chip. This satisfies gpiolib's check for an existing fwnode and prevents
it from falling back to the parent device's node, while ensuring that no
actual properties or hogs are found on the function chip unless
explicitly assigned later.

5a653cedec pinctrl: renesas: rza2: Embed pins in the priv struct
Turn the separately allocated pinctrl_pin_desc array into a flexible
array member of struct rza2_pinctrl_priv, annotated with
__counted_by(npins). Compute the pin count before allocation so
struct_size() can size the combined object, and the two allocations can
be collapsed into one.

Change npins to unsigned int to avoid potential overflow/underflow
errors.

01f94d5394 pinctrl: renesas: rzv2m: Use -ENOTSUPP instead of -EOPNOTSUPP
The pinctrl and GPIO core code make exceptions for the -ENOTSUPP error
code. One such example is gpio_set_config_with_argument_optional(), which
returns success when gpio_set_config_with_argument() returns -ENOTSUPP, but
reports failure for all other error codes.

Returning -EOPNOTSUPP from the pinctrl driver on the unsupported pinctrl
operation may lead to boot failures when pinctrl drivers implements
struct gpio_chip::set_config, the system uses GPIO hogs, and the
struct gpio_chip::set_config implementation returns -EOPNOTSUPP for the
unsupported operations.

Currently, the driver does not implement struct gpio_chip::set_config().
To avoid future failures, return -ENOTSUPP from
rzv2m_pinctrl_pinconf_set().

rzv2m_pinctrl_pinconf_group_get() is used when dumping pinctrl
configuration. pinconf_generic_dump_one(), which calls it, makes
exceptions for the -EINVAL and -ENOTSUPP error codes. The documentation
for struct pinconf_ops::pin_config_group_get states that it "should
return -ENOTSUPP and -EINVAL using the same rules as pin_config_get()".
The documentation for struct pinconf_ops::pin_config_get states:

"get the config of a certain pin, if the requested config is not available
on this controller this should return -ENOTSUPP and if it is available but
disabled it should return -EINVAL".

Return -ENOTSUPP for the unsupported pinctrl operation.

ebe7561e9b pinctrl: renesas: rzt2h: Fix invalid wait context
The rzt2h_gpio_get_direction() function is called from
gpiod_get_direction(), which ends up being used within the __setup_irq()

__setup_irq() holds a raw_spinlock_t with IRQs disabled, which creates
an atomic context. spinlock_t cannot be used within atomic context
when PREEMPT_RT is enabled, since it may become a sleeping lock.

An "[ BUG: Invalid wait context ]" splat is observed when running with
CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING enabled, describing exactly the aforementioned call
stack.

__setup_irq() needs to hold a raw_spinlock_t with IRQs disabled to
serialize access against a concurrent hard interrupt.

bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

829dde3369 pinctrl: renesas: rzt2h: Add GPIO IRQ chip to handle interrupts
The Renesas RZ/T2H (R9A09G077) and Renesas RZ/N2H (R9A09G087) SoCs have
IRQ-capable pins handled by the ICU, which forwards them to the GIC.

The ICU supports 16 IRQ lines, the pins map to these lines arbitrarily,
and the mapping is not configurable.

Add a GPIO IRQ chip to the pin controller that can be used to configure
these pins as IRQ lines.

The pin controller places the requested pins into IRQ function,
disabling GPIO mode. A hierarchical IRQ domain is used to forward other
functionality to the parent IRQ domain, the ICU. The ICU does level
translation and then forwards other functionality to the GIC.

Wakeup capability is implemented by placing the entire pin controller on
the wakeup path if any pins are requested to be wakeup-capable.

49b039a61a pinctrl: renesas: rzt2h: Allow .get_direction() for IRQ function GPIOs
Setting up an IRQ would normally be done in the .activate() and
.deactivate() ops of the IRQ domain, but for hierarchical IRQ domains
the .activate() and .deactivate() ops are overridden in the
gpiochip_hierarchy_setup_domain_ops() function.

As such, activating and deactivating need to be done in the .translate()
and .free() ops of the IRQ domain.

For RZ/T2H and RZ/N2H, interrupts go through the pin controller, into
the ICU, which level-translates them and forwards them to the GIC.

To use a GPIO as an interrupt it needs to be put into peripheral
function mode 0, which will connect it to the IRQ lines of the ICU.

The IRQ chip .child_to_parent_hwirq() callback is called as part of the
IRQ fwspec parsing logic (as part of irq_create_of_mapping()) which
happens before the IRQ is requested (as part of gpiochip_lock_as_irq()).

gpiochip_lock_as_irq() calls gpiod_get_direction() if the
.get_direction() callback is provided to ensure that the GPIO line is
set up as input.

In our case, IRQ function is separate from GPIO, and both cannot be true
at the same time.

Return GPIO_LINE_DIRECTION_IN even if pin is in IRQ function to allow
this setup to work.

Hold the spinlock to ensure atomicity between reading the PMC register
(which determines whether the pin is in GPIO mode or not) and reading
the function of the pin when it is not in GPIO mode.
