53f60930e3 phy: renesas: phy-rzg3e-usb3: Fix malformed MODULE_AUTHOR string
Fix a malformed MODULE_AUTHOR macro in the RZ/G3E USB3.0 PHY driver where
the author's name and opening angle bracket were missing, leaving only the
email address with a stray closing >. Correct it to the standard Name
<email> format.

a4058c09dd phy: spacemit: Remove incorrect clk_disable() in spacemit_usb2phy_init()
When clk_enable() fails, the clock was never enabled. Calling
clk_disable() in this error path is incorrect.

Remove the spurious clk_disable() call from the error handling
in spacemit_usb2phy_init().

0ee5cc59c0 phy: lynx-28g: implement phy_exit() operation
On Layerscape, some Lynx SerDes consumers go through the PHY framework
(we call these 'managed' for the sake of this discussion; they are some
Ethernet lanes), and some consumers don't go through the PHY framework
(we call these 'unmanaged'; they are some unconverted Ethernet lanes,
plus all SATA and PCIe controllers).

A lane is initially unmanaged, and becomes managed when phy_init() is
called on it. Similarly, it becomes unmanaged again when phy_exit() is
called.

Managed lanes are supposed to have power management through
phy_power_on() and phy_power_off().

The lynx-28g SerDes driver, when it probes, probes on all lanes, but
needs to be careful to keep the unmanaged lanes powered on, because
those might be in use by consumers unaware that they need to call
phy_init() and phy_power_on(). This also applies after phy_exit() is
called - no guarantee is made about how the port may be used
afterwards - may be DPDK, may be something else which is unaware of
the PHY framework.

Given this state table:

we are currently in state (a). This has the problem that when the
consumer fails to probe with -EPROBE_DEFER or is otherwise unbound,
the phy->init_count remains elevated and the lane never returns to the
unmanaged state (temporarily or not) as it should. Furthermore, the
second and subsequent phy_init() consumer calls are never passed on to
the provider driver.

We solve the above problem by implementing phy_exit() in the consumer,
and that moves us to state (c). But this creates the problem that a
balanced set of phy_init() and phy_exit() calls from the consumer will
effectively result in multiple lynx_28g_init() calls as seen by the
SerDes and nothing else - as the optional phy_ops :: exit() is not
implemented. But that actually doesn't work - the 28G Lynx SerDes can't
power down a lane which is already powered down; that call sequence
would time out and fail.

So actually we want to be in state (d), where both the provider and the
consumer implement phy_exit(). But we can only do that safely through
intermediary state (b), where the provider implements it first. This
effectively behaves just like (a), except it offers a safe migration
path for the consumer to call phy_exit() as mandated by the Generic PHY
API.

Extra development notes: ignoring the lynx_28g_power_on() error in
lynx_28g_exit() is a deliberate decision. The consumer can't deal with a
teardown path that is not error-free. Ignoring the error is not silent:
lynx_28g_power_on() -> lynx_28g_lane_reset() will print on failure.

5d38f693f1 phy: lynx-28g: truly power the lanes up or down
The current procedure for power_off() and power_on() is the same as the
one used for major lane reconfiguration, aka halting. But this is
incorrect.

One would expect that a powered off lane causes the CDR (clock and data
recovery) loop of the link partner to lose lock onto its RX stream
(which suggests there are no longer any bit transitions => the channel
is inactive). However, it can be observed that this does not take place
(the CDR lock is still there), which means that a halted lane is not
powered off.

Implement the procedure mentioned in the block guide for powering down
a lane, and then back on. This means:

- lynx_28g_power_off() currently emits a HLT_REQ and waits for it to
  clear. Rename it to lynx_28g_lane_halt() and keep using it for
  lynx_28g_set_mode().
- lynx_28g_power_on() currently emits a RST_REQ and waits for it to
  clear. This is the reset procedure - rename it to
  lynx_28g_lane_reset(), and keep using it for lynx_28g_set_mode().

The "real" lynx_28g_power_off() should emit a STP_REQ and wait for it to
clear. And the "real" lynx_28g_power_on() should clear the DIS bit and
then perform a lane reset. Hook these methods to the phy_ops ::
power_off() and power_on() instead.

As opposed to lynx_28g_power_off() which is also directly hooked to the
PHY API, lynx_28g_lane_halt() isn't; just to lynx_28g_set_mode(), and
the call is being made in a state where we haven't yet made any change
to the lane. So it does make some limited amount of sense to code this
up such that if it fails, we make an attempt to reset the lane anyway
and let the consumer know that phy_set_mode_ext() failed.

Sort the field definitions in LNaTRSTCTL and LNaRRSTCTL in descending
order, and add new definitions for STP_REQ and DIS, previously unused.

905780855a phy: lynx-28g: use timeouts when waiting for lane halt and reset
There are various circumstances in which a lane halt, or a lane reset,
will fail to complete. If this happens, it will hang the kernel, which
only implements a busy loop with no timeout.

The circumstances in which this will happen are all bugs in nature:
- if we try to power off a powered off lane
- if we try to power off a lane that uses a PLL locked onto the wrong
  refclk frequency (wrong RCW, but SoC boots anyway)

Actually, unbounded loops in the kernel are a bad practice, so let's use
read_poll_timeout() with a custom function that reads both LNaTRSTCTL
(lane transmit control register) and LNaRRSTCTL (lane receive control
register) and returns true when the request is done in both directions.

The HLT_REQ bit has to clear, whereas the RST_DONE bit has to get set.

Any time such an error happens, it is catastrophic and there is no point
in trying to propagate it to our callers:
- if lynx_28g_set_mode() -> lynx_28g_power_on() times out, we have
  already reconfigured the lane, but returning an error would tell the
  caller that we didn't
- if lynx_28g_power_off() times out, again not much for the consumer to
  do to help get out of this situation - the phy_power_off() call is
  probably made from a context that the consumer can't cancel, or it is
  making it to return to a known state from a previous failure.

So just print an error if timeouts happen and let the driver control
flow continue. The entire point is just to not let the kernel freeze.

a62bfbcf2d phy: qcom: m31-eusb2: Make USB repeater optional
A repeater is not required for the PHY to function. On systems with
multiple PHY instances connected to a multi-port controller, some PHYs
may be unconnected. All PHYs must still probe successfully even without
attached repeaters, otherwise the controller probe fails.

So make it optional.

80305760d7 phy: qcom-qmp-ufs: Fix kaanapali PHY PLL lock failure after SM8650 G4 fix
Commit 81af9e40e2 ("phy: qcom: qmp-ufs: Fix SM8650 PCS table for Gear 4")
moved QPHY_V6_PCS_UFS_PLL_CNTL register configuration from the shared
sm8650_ufsphy_g5_pcs table to the SM8650-specific sm8650_ufsphy_pcs base
table to fix Gear 4 operation on SM8650.

However, this change inadvertently broke kaanapali and SM8750 SoCs
which also rely on the shared sm8650_ufsphy_g5_pcs table for Gear 5
configuration but use their own sm8750_ufsphy_pcs base table. After the
change, kaanapali PHYs are left without the required PLL_CNTL = 0x33
setting, causing the PHY PLL to remain at its hardware reset default
value, preventing PLL lock and resulting in DME_LINKSTARTUP timeouts.

Fix this by adding the missing QPHY_V6_PCS_UFS_PLL_CNTL = 0x33 entry
to the sm8750_ufsphy_pcs table, mirroring what the original commit
already did for sm8650_ufsphy_pcs.

5a759b120e phy: exynos5-usbdrd: fix USB 2.0 HS PHY tuning values for Exynos7870
The existing PHYPARAM0 tuning values for Exynos7870 are incorrect,
causing the USB 2.0 PHY to fail high-speed negotiation and fall back
to full-speed (12Mbps) operation.

Fix TXVREFTUNE (transmitter voltage reference) from 14 to 3,
TXRESTUNE (transmitter impedance) from 3 to 2, and SQRXTUNE
(squelch threshold) from 6 to 5. Also explicitly set
TXPREEMPPULSETUNE to 0, which was previously missing from the
tuning table despite being included in the register mask.

All values are derived from the vendor kernel for the Samsung
Galaxy A6 (SM-A600FN), as no public hardware documentation is
available for the Exynos7870 USB DRD PHY. With these corrections,
the PHY successfully negotiates high-speed (480Mbps) operation.

da110228b5 phy: tegra: xusb: Fix per-pad high-speed termination calibration
The existing code reads a single hs_term_range_adj value from bit field
[10:7] of FUSE_SKU_CALIB_0 and applies it to all USB2 pads uniformly.
However, on SoCs that support per-pad termination, each pad has its own
hs_term_range_adj field: pad 0 in FUSE_SKU_CALIB_0[10:7], and pads 1-3
in FUSE_USB_CALIB_EXT_0 at bit offsets [8:5], [12:9], and [16:13]
respectively.

Fix the calibration by reading per-pad values from the appropriate fuse
registers. For SoCs that do not support per-pad termination, replicate
pad 0's value to all pads to maintain existing behavior.

Add a has_per_pad_term flag to the SoC data to indicate whether per-pad
termination values are available in FUSE_USB_CALIB_EXT_0.

c834f0a690 phy: qcom-qmp-usbc: Rename QCS615 DP PHY variables and functions
Commit 81791c45c8 ("phy: qcom: qmp-usbc: Add QCS615 USB/DP PHY config
and DP mode support") chose to name  QCS615 DP PHY variables/functions
with qmp_v2 prefix, by assuming that QMP PHY registers are versioned
as a whole.  However, the reality is that the registers are versioned
in sub-modules like QSERDES COM and QSERDES TXRX respectively, e.g.
QCS615 DP PHY has registers of QSERDES COM v2 and QSERDES TXRX v3.
Thus it may cause confusion that qmp_v2_xxx table and functions access
QSERDES TXRX v3 registers.

Rename QCS615 DP PHY variables and functions to be prefixed by qcs615
instead of qmp_v2.  This better aligns with how the driver names USB3 PHY
variables for QCM2290 etc.

9dfdd6e7be phy: qcom-qmp-usbc: Use register definitions in qserdes-txrx-v3
The register definitions in header qserdes-txrx-v2 and qserdes-txrx-v3
are actually identical.  Considering that QSERDES TX/RX v2 is already
defined by header qserdes-txrx, qserdes-txrx-v2 is really just
a duplication of qserdes-txrx-v3 for QSERDES TX/RX v3.  Switch
qcom-qmp-usbc driver to use v3 registers.

91ddf6f722 phy: marvell: mvebu-a3700-utmi: fix incorrect USB2_PHY_CTRL register access
The mvebu_a3700_utmi_phy_power_off() function tries to modify the
USB2_PHY_CTRL register by using the IO address of the PHY IP block along
with the readl/writel IO accessors. However, the register exist in the
USB miscellaneous register space, and as such it must be accessed via
regmap like it is done in the mvebu_a3700_utmi_phy_power_on() function.

Change the code to use regmap_update_bits() for modífying the register
to fix this.

18af47764d phy: tegra: xusb: Make USB_CONN_GPIO select conditional on GPIOLIB
kconfiglint reports:

  K006: config PHY_TEGRA_XUSB selects USB_CONN_GPIO which depends on
        GPIOLIB, but PHY_TEGRA_XUSB does not depend on GPIOLIB
  K002: config PHY_TEGRA_XUSB selects visible symbol USB_CONN_GPIO
        which has dependencies

USB_CONN_GPIO was introduced in commit 4602f3bff2 ("usb: common: add USB
GPIO based connection detection driver") with a hard dependency on GPIOLIB,
since it needs GPIO pins to detect USB cable connection state.

Commit f67213cee2 ("phy: tegra: xusb: Add usb-role-switch support") added
`select USB_CONN_GPIO` to PHY_TEGRA_XUSB to support USB role switching via
GPIO-based detection. At that time, PHY_TEGRA_XUSB depended only on
`ARCH_TEGRA`, and both the ARM32 and ARM64 ARCH_TEGRA Kconfig definitions
select GPIOLIB, so the missing explicit GPIOLIB guard was not a functional
problem — GPIOLIB is always available when ARCH_TEGRA is enabled.

Later, commit 0d5c9bc7c6 ("phy: tegra: Select USB_COMMON for
usb_get_maximum_speed()") added `depends on USB_SUPPORT` but still did not
address the GPIOLIB gap.

The select can force USB_CONN_GPIO on without its GPIOLIB dependency being
satisfied if the Kconfig dependencies were ever restructured. Make the
select conditional with `select USB_CONN_GPIO if GPIOLIB` to make the
dependency explicit. This mirrors how other drivers handle optional
GPIO-dependent selects throughout the kernel.

f67ab4706a phy: renesas: rcar-gen3-usb2: Simplify ID/VBUS detection logic
Read USB2_ADPCTRL once in rcar_gen3_check_id() instead of issuing
multiple MMIO reads, and derive both IDDIG and VBUSVALID from the same
value.

Drop the redundant !! operator, as assigning a masked u32 value to a
bool already performs the required normalization. Simplify the logic by
comparing the ID and VBUS status directly, which is equivalent to the
previous conditional but easier to follow.

519a228ee4 phy: qcom: edp: Add PHY-specific LDO config for eDP low vdiff
For eDP low vdiff, the LDO setting depends on the PHY version rather
than being a simple 0x0 or 0x1 value. Introduce a PHY callback to program
the correct LDO setting according to the HPG.

Since SC7280/SC8180X uses different LDO settings from SA8775P/SC8280XP,
introduce qcom_edp_phy_ops_v3 to keep the LDO setting correct.

3d22594d6f phy: qcom: edp: Add SC7280/SC8180X swing/pre-emphasis tables
SC7280 and SC8180X previously shared the same cfg because they did not use
swing/pre-emphasis tables. Add the corresponding tables for these
platforms. Since they have different PHY sub-versions, their eDP/DP mode
tables also differ, so move SC8180X to its own cfg instead of reusing the
SC7280 one.

3011c365a3 phy: qcom: edp: Add eDP/DP mode switch support
The eDP PHY supports both eDP/DP modes, each requiring a different
swing/pre-emphasis table. However, the driver currently uses a fixed
static table for eDP programming rather than selecting the appropriate
table based on the current mode. Add separate tables for eDP and DP
modes, and select the appropriate table dynamically based on the
current mode.

Glymur's DP mode table differs from the other platforms, add a
dedicated table for it.

This also fixes the table mismatch for X1E80100 (eDP) and SA8775P (DP).

The current eDP and DP swing/pre-emphasis tables do not match the HPG
requirements for the supported platforms, correct the table accordingly.

The generic tables which can be shared as follows:

DP mode:

	-glymur
	-sc8180x
eDP mode(low vdiff):
	-glymur/sa8775p/sc8280xp/x1e80100
	-sc7280
	-sc8180x

The proper tables for SC8180X and SC7280 will be added in a later patch,
since they need separate table.

6df1459605 net: phy: make mdio_device.c part of libphy
This patch
- makes mdio_device.c part of libphy
- makes mdio_device_(un)register_reset() static
- moves mdiobus_(un)register_device() from mdio_bus.c to mdio_device.c,
  stops exporting both functions and makes them private to phylib

This further decouples the MDIO consumer functionality from libphy.

Note: This makes MDIO driver registration part of phylib, therefore
      adjust Kconfig dependencies where needed.

d2b20acdae phy: qcom-sgmii-eth: use PHY interface mode for SerDes settings
As established in the previous commit, using SPEED_1000 and SPEED_2500
does not make sense for a SerDes due to the PCS encoding that is used
over the SerDes link, which inflates the data rate at the SerDes. Thus,
the use of these constants in a SerDes driver is incorrect.

Since qcom-sgmii-eth no longer implements phy_set_speed(), but instead
uses the PHY interface mode passed via the .set_mode() method, convert
the driver to use the PHY interface mode internally to decide whether
to configure the SerDes for 1.25Gbps or 3.125Gbps mode.

b772159754 phy: qcom-sgmii-eth: remove .set_speed() implementation
Now that the qcom-ethqos driver has migrated to use phy_set_mode_ext()
rather than phy_set_speed() to configure the SerDes, the support for
phy_set_speed() is now obsolete. Remove support for this method.

Using the MAC speed for the SerDes is never correct due to the PCS
encoding. For SGMII and 2500BASE-X, the PCS uses 8B10B encoding, and
so:

  MAC rate * PCS output bits / PCS input bits = SerDes rate
   1000M   *       10        /       8        = 1250M
   2500M   *       10        /       8        = 3125M

4ff5801f45 phy: qcom-sgmii-eth: add .set_mode() and .validate() methods
qcom-sgmii-eth is an Ethernet SerDes supporting only Ethernet mode
using SGMII, 1000BASE-X and 2500BASE-X.

Add an implementation of the .set_mode() method, which can be used
instead of or as well as the .set_speed() method. The Ethernet
interface modes mentioned above all have a fixed data rate, so
setting the mode is sufficient to fully specify the operating
parameters.

Add an implementation of the .validate() method, which will be
necessary to allow discovery of the SerDes capabilities for platform
independent SerDes support in the stmmac network driver.

81af9e40e2 phy: qcom: qmp-ufs: Fix SM8650 PCS table for Gear 4
According to internal documentation, on SM8650, when the PHY is configured
in Gear 4, the QPHY_V6_PCS_UFS_PLL_CNTL register needs to have the same
value as for Gear 5.

At the moment, there is no board that comes with a UFS 3.x device, so
this issue doesn't show up, but with the new Eliza SoC, which uses the
same init sequence as SM8650, on the MTP board, the link startup fails
with the current Gear 4 PCS table.

So fix that by moving the entry into the PCS generic table instead,
while keeping the value from Gear 5 configuration.

520a98bdf7 phy: qcom: m31-eusb2: clear PLL_EN during init
The driver currently sets bit 0 of USB_PHY_CFG1 (PLL_EN) during PHY
initialization. According to the M31 EUSB2 PHY hardware documentation,
this bit is intended only for test/debug scenarios and does not control
mission mode operation. Keeping PLL_EN asserted causes the PHY to draw
additional current during USB bus suspend. Clearing this bit results in
lower suspend power consumption without affecting normal operation.

Update the driver to leave PLL_EN cleared as recommended by the hardware
documentation.

__iomem annotated memory must be accessed via dedicated accessors, even
if actual code is correct (accessing the driver data in
mmp3_hsic_phy_init() brings back the __iomem cast), but dropping its
cast (with or without __force) when storing as driver data seems like
less readable code for any future changes.  Instead, add a dedicated
wrapping structure just to hold the pointer without changing the __iomem
cast.  This makes the code explicit, obvious and solves the sparse
warning:

a258d843a3 phy: lynx-28g: skip CDR lock workaround for lanes disabled in the device tree
The blamed commit introduced support for specifying individual lanes as
OF nodes in the device, and these can have status = "disabled".

When that happens, for_each_available_child_of_node() skips them and
lynx_28g_probe_lane() -> devm_phy_create() is not called, so lane->phy
will be NULL. Yet it will be dereferenced in lynx_28g_cdr_lock_check(),
resulting in a crash.

This used to be well handled in v3 of that patch:

but until v5 was merged, the logic to support per-lane OF nodes was
split into a separate change, and the per-SoC compatible strings patch

48fafffcf2 phy: make PHY_COMMON_PROPS Kconfig symbol conditionally user-selectable
Geert reports that enabling CONFIG_KUNIT_ALL_TESTS shouldn't enable
features that aren't enabled without it. That isn't what "*all* tests"
means, but as the prompt puts it, "All KUnit tests with satisfied
dependencies".

The impact is that enabling CONFIG_KUNIT_ALL_TESTS brings features which
cannot be disabled as built-in into the kernel.

Keep the pattern where consumer drivers have to "select PHY_COMMON_PROPS",
but if KUNIT_ALL_TESTS is enabled, also make PHY_COMMON_PROPS user
selectable, so it can be turned off.

Modify PHY_COMMON_PROPS_TEST to depend on PHY_COMMON_PROPS rather than
select it.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

dbeea86fec phy: ti: phy-j721e-wiz: convert from divider_round_rate() to divider_determine_rate()
The divider_round_rate() function is now deprecated, so let's migrate
to divider_determine_rate() instead so that this deprecated API can be
removed.

Note that when the main function itself was migrated to use
determine_rate, this was mistakenly converted to:

    req->rate = divider_round_rate(...)

This is invalid in the case when an error occurs since it can set the
rate to a negative value.

3ddcd24b4d phy: enter drivers/phy/Makefile even without CONFIG_GENERIC_PHY
Kconfig option CONFIG_PHY_COMMON_PROPS, which builds
drivers/phy/phy-common-props.c, was intended to be selectable
independently of CONFIG_GENERIC_PHY. Yet it lives in drivers/phy/, which
is entered by the Makefile only if CONFIG_GENERIC_PHY is set.

Allow the Makefile to enter one level deeper, but stop at drivers/phy/
if CONFIG_GENERIC_PHY is unselected (i.e. do not enter vendor folders).
The other stuff from drivers/phy/Makefile except for CONFIG_PHY_COMMON_PROPS,
like CONFIG_PHY_NXP_PTN3222, all depends on CONFIG_GENERIC_PHY.

Add support for selecting the phyrst mux-state using the Linux mux
subsystem in the R-Car Gen3 USB2 PHY driver. This ensures correct hardware
initialization and integration with systems utilizing the mux-state device
tree property.

A temporary wrapper for optional muxes is introduced until native support
is available in the multiplexer subsystem.

b6d7dd1577 phy: renesas: rcar-gen3-usb2: Add regulator for OTG VBUS control
Enable OTG VBUS control on R-Car Gen3 USB2 PHY by registering a regulator
driver that manages the VBOUT line. This change allows the controller to
handle VBUS output for OTG ports using the regulator framework when the
platform requires hardware-based VBUS control.

Without this, some platforms cannot properly manage VBUS power on OTG-
capable ports, leading to potential USB functionality issues.

ac079c1207 phy: rockchip: samsung-hdptx: Switch to driver specific HDMI config
In preparation to support the FRL operation mode which gets configured
via the lanes and rate per lane tuple, switch to a driver specific
struct for configuring the link rate and bpc.

This simplifies and optimizes the implementation by allowing implicit
switches between TMDS and FRL rates, without requiring additional checks
of the active PHY mode followed by recalculations of the link rate when
operating in FRL mode.

The ->hw_rate member of struct rk_hdptx_phy was mainly used to keep
track of the clock rate programmed in hardware and support implementing
the ->recalc_rate() callback in hdptx_phy_clk_ops.

Computing the clock rate from the actual PHY PLL configuration seems to
work reliably, hence remove the now redundant struct member.

Drop redundant reg_sequence entries from rk_hdptx_common_cmn_init_seq[],
i.e. those that are either duplicated or overridden in
rk_hdptx_tmds_cmn_init_seq[].

Additionally, a few items do not really belong to the former, hence move
them to the latter.  That's mostly a preparatory step for adding FRL
support.

e2ce913452 phy: mvebu-cp110-utmi: fix dr_mode property read from dts
The problem with the current implementation is that it does not consider
that the USB controller can have multiple PHY handles with different
arguments count, as for example we have in our cn9131 based platform:
"phys = <&cp0_comphy1 0>, <&cp0_utmi0>;".

In such case calling "of_usb_get_dr_mode_by_phy" with -1 (no phy-cells)
leads to not proper phy detection, taking the "marvell,cp110-utmi-phy"
dts definition we can call the "of_usb_get_dr_mode_by_phy" with 0
(#phy-cells = <0>) and safely look for that phy.

05b56ef347 phy: fsl-imx8mq-usb: enable RX Termination override
This is to resolve the problem of wakeup system by USB3 device insertion
if HSIOMIX on, in that case, the USB3 device detects RX term on so the
USB3 device doesn't downgrade to high-speed, we can't expect CONN wakeup
(for USB3) happen because the 24MHz OSC is required ON to trigger it.
Because the device works at Super-speed so DP/DM wakeup can't happen
either. Then the entire systen can't be waken up by such device attach
event.

With this override bit we can force the RX term off when enters system
suspend, and disable the override after system resume. Therefore, the
USB3 device will always downgrade to High-speed, then DP/DM wakeup can
always happen. It will correctly switch to Super-speed later when the
host reset it after the system resume back.

f2ec4723de phy: freescale: imx8m-pcie: assert phy reset during power on
After U-Boot initializes PCIe with "pcie enum", Linux fails to detect
an NVMe disk on some boot cycles with:

  phy phy-32f00000.pcie-phy.0: phy poweron failed --> -110

Discussion with NXP identified that the iMX8MP PCIe PHY PLL may fail to
lock when re-initialized without a reset cycle [1].

The issue reproduces on 7% of tested hardware platforms, with a 30-40%
failure rate per affected device across boot cycles.

Insert a reset cycle in the power-on routine to ensure the PHY is
initialized from a known state.

Support the USB PHY found on Google Tensor G5 (Laguna). This
particular USB PHY supports both high-speed and super-speed
operations, and is integrated with the SNPS DWC3 controller that's

for high-speed.

bc148def89 phy: apple: atc: Reset USB2 PHY during probe as well
Now that the upstream Type-C PHY code is getting broader test coverage we
got reports of USB devices plugged in during boot or those plugged in for
the first time after boot occasionally not working correctly.
This is partially caused by the USB2 parts of the PHY being left in an
unknown state by the previous boot stages. We reset all other parts during
probe but forgot about the USB2 PHY so let's fix that and actually reset
and power off the USB2 PHY as well.

e07dea3de5 phy: rockchip: inno-usb2: Fix a double free bug in rockchip_usb2phy_probe()
The for_each_available_child_of_node() calls of_node_put() to
release child_np in each success loop. After breaking from the
loop with the child_np has been released, the code will jump to
the put_child label and will call the of_node_put() again if the
devm_request_threaded_irq() fails. These cause a double free bug.

Fix by returning directly to avoid the duplicate of_node_put().

For Glymur SoC support, the com_clk_fwd_cfg callback was added, and a
stub implementation was added for the v4 of the hardware. However it

Hamoa/Purwa (X1E/X1P) SoC devices. Fix by adding the appropriate stub.

Add helpers in the generic PHY folder which can be used using 'select
PHY_COMMON_PROPS' from Kconfig, without otherwise needing to
enable GENERIC_PHY.

These helpers need to deal with the slight messiness of the fact that
the polarity properties are arrays per protocol, and with the fact that
there is no default value mandated by the standard properties, all
default values depend on driver and protocol (PHY_POL_NORMAL may be a
good default for SGMII, whereas PHY_POL_AUTO may be a good default for
PCIe).

Push the supported mask of polarities to these helpers, to simplify
drivers such that they don't need to validate what's in the device tree
(or other firmware description).

Add a KUnit test suite to make sure that the API produces the expected
results. The fact that we use fwnode structures means we can validate
with software nodes, and as opposed to the device_property API, we can
bypass the need to have a device structure.

Add register sequences for PCIe + XAUI multilink configuration for
100MHz reference clock.

The register sequences are fetched from a table by indexing entries based
on unique 'keys' generated by the Bitwise OR defined below:
	REFCLK0_RATE | REFCLK1_RATE | LINK0_TYPE | LINK1_TYPE | SSC_TYPE

As of now, LINK_TYPE is a 3-bit value corresponding to the PHY type.
With the introduction of TYPE_XAUI, we need a 4-bit value to represent
the LINK_TYPE as TYPE_XAUI has the numerical value 8. Hence, extend the
LINKx_MASK macros to 4-bit masks. While at it, extend REFCLKx_MASK macros
as well to 4-bit masks to support reference clock frequencies that will be
added in the future.

Adjust the 'LINKx_SHIFT' and the 'REFCLKx_SHIFT' macros to account for
the aforementioned changes made to the masks.

Currently if a user enqueues a work item using schedule_delayed_work() the
used wq is "system_wq" (per-cpu wq) while queue_delayed_work() use
WORK_CPU_UNBOUND (used when a cpu is not specified). The same applies to
schedule_work() that is using system_wq and queue_work(), that makes use
again of WORK_CPU_UNBOUND.

This lack of consistency cannot be addressed without refactoring the API.

This patch continues the effort to refactor worqueue APIs, which has begun
with the change introducing new workqueues and a new alloc_workqueue flag:

commit 930c2ea566 ("workqueue: Add new WQ_PERCPU flag")

Replace system_wq with system_percpu_wq, keeping the same behavior.
The old wq (system_wq) will be kept for a few release cycles.

The Qualcomm Glymur platform has the new v8 version of the eDP/DP PHY.
So rework the driver to support this new version and add the platform
specific configuration data.

While at it, add the rest of the AUX_CFG reset values for the v4 and v5
platforms, which makes the handling of the platforms specific array
cleaner, as they are single sized now.
