Layout grows a note's title band to hold its text, but it cannot always win. A note that wraps one node is only as wide as that node, the band stops short of any node the note does not document, and a note with no anchors keeps the default box. What is left over is cut off, because the canvas draws the text area with overflow hidden. Report those instead of guessing. The good remedies need a judgement the layout does not have: shorten the text, split the note in two, or set an explicit width and height. The warning goes through the existing parse and validate path, so both the MCP and the assistant already show it. The check ignores a shortfall under 40px. The estimator is deliberately pessimistic so that sizing never clips, and measuring against the rendered canvas put that bias at roughly 8 to 70px. Reporting wants the opposite bias: against five generated workflows the untuned check raised five warnings for two real problems, and the tolerance removes the three the reader could not have seen. |

What does n8n mean?
Short answer: It means "nodemation" and is pronounced as n-eight-n.
Long answer: "I get that question quite often (more often than I expected) so I decided it is probably best to answer it here. While looking for a good name for the project with a free domain I realized very quickly that all the good ones I could think of were already taken. So, in the end, I chose nodemation. 'node-' in the sense that it uses a Node-View and that it uses Node.js and '-mation' for 'automation' which is what the project is supposed to help with. However, I did not like how long the name was and I could not imagine writing something that long every time in the CLI. That is when I then ended up on 'n8n'." - Jan Oberhauser, Founder and CEO, n8n.io
