d659903674 mm/slab: pass slab_alloc_context to __do_kmalloc_node()
With alloc_flags usage in slab, we can replace __GFP_NO_OBJ_EXT with an
alloc flag that prevents kmalloc recursion. For that we need a version
of kmalloc() that takes alloc_flags and use it in places that perform
these potentially recursive kmalloc allocations (of sheaves or obj_ext
arrays).

As a preparatory step, make __do_kmalloc_node() take a pointer to
slab_alloc_context. This replaces the 'size' and 'caller' parameters and
includes alloc_flags which we'll make use of.

1a787779fe mm/slab: allow kmem_cache_alloc_bulk() with any gfp flags
The last user of gfpflags_allow_spinning() in slab is
alloc_from_pcs_bulk(), which is only called from
kmem_cache_alloc_bulk().

It turns out that gfpflags_allow_spinning() is not necessary, because
kmem_cache_alloc_bulk() is only expected to be called from context that
does allow spinning, so simply replace it with 'true'. This means we can
also drop the gfp parameter from alloc_from_pcs_bulk().

With that, we can remove the "@flags must allow spinning" part of the
kernel doc, as there is no more connection to the gfp flags in the slab
implementation.

Also remove a comment in alloc_slab_obj_exts() because there should be
no more false positives possible due to gfp_allowed_mask during early
boot.

b5ecc070d1 mm/slab: replace slab_alloc_node() parameters with slab_alloc_context
The function takes all the parameters that exist as fields in
slab_alloc_context, except alloc_flags. Replace them with a single
pointer.

This moves slab_alloc_context initialization to a number of callers,
which is more verbose, but arguably also more clear than a long list of
parameters, and most do not use the 'lru' field.

This will also allow kmalloc_nolock() to call slab_alloc_node() and
reduce the special open-coding it currently has.

ef7f97aa2c mm/slab: pass alloc_flags through slab_post_alloc_hook() chain
Convert the whole following call stack to pass either slab_alloc_context
(thus including alloc_flags) or just alloc_flags as necessary:

slab_post_alloc_hook()
  alloc_tagging_slab_alloc_hook()
    __alloc_tagging_slab_alloc_hook()
      prepare_slab_obj_exts_hook()
        alloc_slab_obj_exts()
  memcg_slab_post_alloc_hook()
    __memcg_slab_post_alloc_hook()
      alloc_slab_obj_exts()

Converting all these at once avoids unnecessary churn and is mostly
mechanical.

This ultimately allows to decide if spinning is allowed using
alloc_flags in alloc_slab_obj_exts(), as well as slab_post_alloc_hook().
Aside from alloc_from_pcs_bulk() (to be handled next) there is nothing
else in slab itself relying on gfpflags_allow_spinning() which can
be false even if not called from kmalloc_nolock().

A followup change will also use the alloc_flags availability in the call
stack above to remove the __GFP_NO_OBJ_EXT flag.

For alloc_slab_obj_exts(), also replace the suboptimal "bool new_slab"
parameter with a SLAB_ALLOC_NEW_SLAB flag with identical functionality.

To further reduce the number of parameters of slab_post_alloc_hook(),
also make 'struct list_lru *lru' (which is NULL for most callers) a new
field of slab_alloc_context.

574d3961d3 mm/slab: add alloc_flags to slab_alloc_context
Add alloc_flags as a new field to the slab_alloc_context helper struct,
so we can pass it to more functions in the slab implementation without
adding another function parameter.

Start checking them via alloc_flags_allow_spinning() in
alloc_single_from_new_slab() (where we can drop the allow_spin
parameter), ___slab_alloc(), get_from_partial_node() and
get_from_any_partial(). This further reduces false-positive
spinning-not-allowed from allocations that are not kmalloc_nolock() but
lack __GFP_RECLAIM flags.

_kmalloc_nolock_noprof() initializes ac.alloc_flags using its flags that
are SLAB_ALLOC_NOLOCK. slab_alloc_node() and __kmem_cache_alloc_bulk()
are not reachable from kmalloc_nolock() and all their callers expect
spinning to be allowed, so they can use SLAB_ALLOC_DEFAULT. This is
temporary as the scope of slab_alloc_context will further move to the
callers, making the alloc_flags usage more obvious.

Also change how trynode_flags are constructed in ___slab_alloc() to
achieve the same "do not upgrade to GFP_NOWAIT" by using masking instead
of checking allow_spin. We need to do that because we now determine
allow_spin from alloc_flags, and would otherwise start to upgrade e.g.
kmalloc() allocations without __GFP_KSWAPD_RECLAIM (that however do
allow spinning) to GFP_NOWAIT, thus including __GFP_KSWAPD_RECLAIM.

During the masking keep also existing __GFP_NOMEMALLOC (pointed out by
Sashiko) and __GFP_ACCOUNT. Previously the hardcoded GFP_NOWAIT would
eliminate them, but it's not a big problem that would need a separate
fix.

c90a004a93 mm/slab: replace struct partial_context with slab_alloc_context
Refactor get_from_partial_node(), get_from_any_partial(),
get_from_partial() and ___slab_alloc().

Remove struct partial_context, which used to be more substantial but
shrank as part of the sheaves conversion. Instead pass gfp_flags and
pointer to the new slab_alloc_context, which together is a superset of
partial_context, and alloc_flags are about to be added to
slab_alloc_context as well.

No functional change intended.

74d224ac92 mm/slab: introduce alloc_flags and SLAB_ALLOC_NOLOCK
Similarly to the page allocators, introduce slab-allocator specific
alloc flags that internally control allocation behavior in addition to
gfp_flags, without occupying the limited gfp flags space.

Introduce the first flag SLAB_ALLOC_NOLOCK that behaves similarly to
page allocator's ALLOC_TRYLOCK and will be used to reimplement
kmalloc_nolock()'s "!allow_spin" behavior. That currently relies on
gfpflags_allow_spinning() and thus the lack of both __GFP_RECLAIM flags,
importantly __GFP_KSWAPD_RECLAIM. This can give false-positive results
e.g. in early boot with a restricted gfp_allowed_mask.

Also introduce alloc_flags_allow_spinning() to replace the usage of
gfpflags_allow_spinning().

Start using alloc_flags and the new check first in alloc_from_pcs() and
__pcs_replace_empty_main(). This means some slab allocations that were
falsely treated as kmalloc_nolock() due to their gfp flags will now have
higher chances of success, and this will further increase with followup
changes.

Remove a WARN_ON_ONCE() from refill_objects() as it's now legitimate to
reach it from a slab allocation that's not _nolock() and yet lacks
__GFP_KSWAPD_RECLAIM for other reasons.

203890bbd2 mm/slab: introduce slab_alloc_context
Similarly to page allocator's struct alloc_context, introduce a helper
struct to hold a part of the allocation arguments. This will allow
reducing the number of parameters in many functions of the
implementation, and extend them easily if needed.

For now, make it hold the caller address and the originally requested
allocation size.

Convert alloc_single_from_new_slab(), __slab_alloc_node() and
___slab_alloc(). No functional change intended.

f09b59ae44 mm/slab: do not init any kfence objects on allocation
When init (zeroing) on allocation is requested, for kmalloc() we
generally have to zero the full object size even if a smaller size is
requested, in order to provide krealloc()'s __GFP_ZERO guarantees.

When we end up allocating a kfence object, kfence performs the zeroing
on its own because it has its own redzone beyond the requested size.
Thus slab_post_alloc_hook() has an 'init' parameter which has to be
evaluated in all callers (via slab_want_init_on_alloc()) and should be
false for kfence allocations.

For kfence allocations in slab_alloc_node() this is achieved by subtly
skipping over the slab_want_init_on_alloc() call. Other callers (i.e.
kmem_cache_alloc_bulk_noprof()) however evaluate it unconditionally even
if they do end up with a kfence allocation. This is only subtly not a
problem, as those are not kmalloc allocations and thus the "requested
size" equals s->object_size and thus it cannot interfere with kfence's
redzone. There's just a unnecessary double zeroing (in both kfence and
slab_post_alloc_hook()), but it's all very fragile and contradicts the
comment in kfence_guarded_alloc().

Remove this subtlety and simplify the code by eliminating the init
parameter from slab_post_alloc_hook() and make it call
slab_want_init_on_alloc() itself. Instead add a is_kfence_address()
check before performing the memset, which will start doing the right
thing for all callers of slab_post_alloc_hook().

This potentially adds overhead of the is_kfence_address() check to
allocation hotpath, but that one is designed to be as small as possible,
and it's only evaluated if zeroing is about to happen. This means (aside
from init_on_alloc hardening) only for __GFP_ZERO allocations, and the
zeroing itself comes with an overhead likely larger than the added
check.

While at it, refactor the handling of evaluating when KASAN does the
init instead of SLUB, with no intended functional changes. A
non-functional change is that we don't pass kasan_init as true to
kasan_slab_alloc() if kasan has no integrated init, but then the value
is ignored anyway, so it's theoretically more correct.

Merge series "slab: support for compiler-assisted type-based slab cache
partitioning" from Marco Elver. From the cover letter [6]:

Rework the general infrastructure around RANDOM_KMALLOC_CACHES into more
flexible KMALLOC_PARTITION_CACHES, with the former being a partitioning
mode of the latter.

Introduce a new mode, KMALLOC_PARTITION_TYPED, which leverages a feature
available in Clang 22 and later, called "allocation tokens" via
__builtin_infer_alloc_token() [1]. Unlike KMALLOC_PARTITION_RANDOM
(formerly RANDOM_KMALLOC_CACHES), this mode deterministically assigns a
slab cache to an allocation of type T, regardless of allocation site.

The builtin __builtin_infer_alloc_token(<malloc-args>, ...) instructs
the compiler to infer an allocation type from arguments commonly passed
to memory-allocating functions and returns a type-derived token ID. The
implementation passes kmalloc-args to the builtin: the compiler performs
best-effort type inference, and then recognizes common patterns such as
`kmalloc(sizeof(T), ...)`, `kmalloc(sizeof(T) * n, ...)`, but also
`(T *)kmalloc(...)`. Where the compiler fails to infer a type the
fallback token (default: 0) is chosen.

Note: kmalloc_obj(..) APIs fix the pattern how size and result type are
expressed, and therefore ensures there's not much drift in which
patterns the compiler needs to recognize. Specifically, kmalloc_obj()
and friends expand to `(TYPE *)KMALLOC(__obj_size, GFP)`, which the
compiler recognizes via the cast to TYPE*.

Clang's default token ID calculation is described as [1]:

   typehashpointersplit: This mode assigns a token ID based on the hash
   of the allocated type's name, where the top half ID-space is reserved
   for types that contain pointers and the bottom half for types that do
   not contain pointers.

Separating pointer-containing objects from pointerless objects and data
allocations can help mitigate certain classes of memory corruption
exploits [2]: attackers who gains a buffer overflow on a primitive
buffer cannot use it to directly corrupt pointers or other critical
metadata in an object residing in a different, isolated heap region.

It is important to note that heap isolation strategies offer a
best-effort approach, and do not provide a 100% security guarantee,
albeit achievable at relatively low performance cost. Note that this
also does not prevent cross-cache attacks: while waiting for future
features like SLAB_VIRTUAL [3] to provide physical page isolation, this
feature should be deployed alongside SHUFFLE_PAGE_ALLOCATOR and
init_on_free=1 to mitigate cross-cache attacks and page-reuse attacks as
much as possible today.

With all that, my kernel (x86 defconfig) shows me a histogram of slab
cache object distribution per /proc/slabinfo (after boot):

The above /proc/slabinfo snapshot shows me there are 6673 allocated
objects (slabs 00 - 07) that the compiler claims contain no pointers or
it was unable to infer the type of, and 12015 objects that contain
pointers (slabs 08 - 15). On a whole, this looks relatively sane.

Additionally, when I compile my kernel with -Rpass=alloc-token, which
provides diagnostics where (after dead-code elimination) type inference
failed, I see 186 allocation sites where the compiler failed to identify
a type (down from 966 when I sent the RFC [4]). Some initial review
confirms these are mostly variable sized buffers, but also include
structs with trailing flexible length arrays.

d3c45a0fee Merge branch 'slab/for-7.2/alloc_bulk' into slab/for-next
Merge two separately sent but vaguely related patches from Christoph
Hellwig.  One changes the kmem_cache_alloc_bulk() API to return bool,
because it was already actiong as all-or-nothing, and that aspect was
not documented. Existing callers are updated.

The second patch simplifies the mempool_alloc_bulk() API to stop
skipping over non-NULL entries in the array, and removes a related
parameter that said how many are non-NULL.

A similar simplification of alloc_pages_bulk() is being discussed as
well and should follow in near future.

648927ceb8 mm/slab: do not limit zeroing to orig_size when only red zoning is enabled
When init (zeroing) on allocation is requested, for kmalloc() we
generally have to zero the full object size even if a smaller size is
requested, in order to provide krealloc()'s __GFP_ZERO guarantees.

But if we track the requested size, krealloc() uses that information to
do the right thing, so we can zero only the requested size. With red
zoning also enabled, any extra size became part of the red zone, so it
must not be zeroed and thus we must zero only the requested size.

However the current check is imprecise, and will trigger also when only
SLAB_RED_ZONE is enabled without SLAB_STORE_USER (which enables tracking
the requested size). This means enabling red zoning alone can compromise
krealloc()'s __GFP_ZERO contract.

Fix this by using slub_debug_orig_size() instead, which is the exact
check for whether the requested size is tracked. We don't need to care
if red zoning is also enabled or not. Also update and expand the
comment accordingly.

19b206b953 mm/slub: preserve original size in _kmalloc_nolock_noprof retry path
_kmalloc_nolock_noprof() retries from the next kmalloc bucket when the
initial allocation fails. The retry currently reuses `size` as the
bucket selector and overwrites it with s->object_size + 1.

That value is later passed as the original allocation size to
__slab_alloc_node(), slab_post_alloc_hook() and kasan_kmalloc(). On a
successful retry this makes KASAN/slub-debug observe the retry bucket
selector rather than the caller requested size, potentially widening the
valid kmalloc range and hiding overflows.

Keep the caller requested size separately as orig_size and pass it to
the allocation/debug/KASAN paths. Continue using `size` as the retry cache
selector.

be6e0a533d mm: simplify the mempool_alloc_bulk API
The mempool_alloc_bulk was modelled after the alloc_pages_bulk API,
including some misunderstanding of it.

Remove checking for NULL slots in the array, as alloc_pages_bulk and
kmem_cache_alloc_bulk always fill the array from the beginning and thus
we know the offset of the first failing allocation.  This removes support
for working well with alloc_pages_bulk used to refill page arrays that
might have an entry removed from in the middle, but that is only used by
sunrpc and hopefully on it's way out.

Also remove the allocated parameter as it is redundant because the caller
can simply specific and offset into the entries array.

6bb0009862 mm/slab: improve kmem_cache_alloc_bulk
The kmem_cache_alloc_bulk return value is weird.  It returns the number
of allocated objects, but that must always be 0 or the requested number
based on the implementations and the handling in the callers, but that
assumption is not actually documented anywhere, which confuses automated
review tools.

Fix this by returning a bool if the allocation succeeded and adding a

0fc52deec1 mm/slub: detach and reattach partial slabs in batch
get_partial_node_bulk() moves each selected slab from the node's
partial list to the local pc->slabs list using a remove_partial() and
list_add() pair. In practice, the loop often detaches several adjacent
slabs. Doing this individually repeatedly manipulates list pointers
while holding n->list_lock, which causes unnecessary churn.

To demonstrate this, the counts below show how often single vs. multiple
consecutive slabs are retrieved during a will-it-scale mmap stress test:

The data confirms that retrieving multiple contiguous slabs is highly
frequent.

To optimize this, track contiguous runs of matching slabs and move each
run in a single operation using list_bulk_move_tail(). This reduces list
pointer churn inside the lock critical section.

Apply the same optimization to __refill_objects_node() when reattaching
leftover partial slabs back to the node's partial list.

The will-it-scale mmap benchmark shows a 2% ~ 5% performance improvement
after applying this patch.

e562904fc1 mm/slub: use empty sheaf helpers for oversized sheaves
Oversized prefilled sheaves are allocated separately because their
capacity can be larger than the cache's regular sheaf capacity. After
they are flushed, however, they are empty sheaves as well, and should be
released through the same empty-sheaf helper.

Allocate oversized prefilled sheaves with __alloc_empty_sheaf() and free
them with free_empty_sheaf() after a failed prefill or after they are
returned and flushed. This keeps the oversized and pfmemalloc return paths
consistent, including the SLAB_KMALLOC-specific __GFP_NO_OBJ_EXT and
mark_obj_codetag_empty() handling.

Keep the caller-GFP filtering in alloc_empty_sheaf() instead of
__alloc_empty_sheaf(). In particular, do not clear OBJCGS_CLEAR_MASK in
the raw helper, so the oversized prefill path does not unexpectedly drop
caller-provided flags such as __GFP_NOFAIL. The SLAB_KMALLOC-specific
addition of __GFP_NO_OBJ_EXT remains in __alloc_empty_sheaf(), matching
the free_empty_sheaf() assumption.

Since oversized sheaves are now allocated and freed through the empty
sheaf helpers, SHEAF_ALLOC and SHEAF_FREE also account for oversized
sheaves. Update the stat comments accordingly.

Keep the capacity initialization in the oversized prefill path, since
capacity is currently only used for prefilled sheaves

drop that code and simplify the function.

ba74253126 mm, slab: add an optimistic __slab_try_return_freelist()
When we end up returning extraneous objects during refill to a slab
where we just did a get_freelist_nofreeze(), it is likely no other CPU
has freed objects to it meanwhile. We can then reattach the remainder of
the freelist without having to walk the (potentially cache cold)
freelist for finding its tail to connect slab->freelist to it.

Add a __slab_try_return_freelist() function that does that. As suggested
by Hao Li, it doesn't need to also return the slab to the partial list,
because there's code in __refill_objects_node() that already does that
for any slabs where we don't detach the freelist in the first place. So
we just put the slab back to the pc.slabs list. It's no longer likely
that the list will be empty now, so remove the unlikely() annotation.

However, also change that code to add to the tail of the partial list
instead of head to match what __slab_free() did and avoid a regression,
that was reported for the earlier version by the kernel test robot [1].
This change will also affect slabs which were grabbed from the partial
list and not refilled from even partially, but those should be much more
rare than a partial refill.

e0f54249a4 slab: fix kernel-docs for mm-api
The mm-api kernel-docs have been disconnected from their symbols. While
the scripts were previously taught to handle the _noprof suffix added by
allocation tagging (in 51a7bf0238 "scripts/kernel-doc: drop "_noprof"
on function prototypes"), this does not handle cases where the internal
implementation function has an additional leading underscore. The added
optional parameters (via DECL_KMALLOC_PARAMS) further complicate parsing
the internal signatures.

When the kernel-doc block remains above the internal implementation
function but uses the public API name, the documentation generator fails
to associate the documented symbol.

Simply moving the docs to the macros in slab.h fixes the association but
causes loss of types in the generated documentation (rendering as e.g.
untyped 'kmalloc(size, flags)' macro).

Fix this by:

1. Moving the kernel-doc comment blocks from slub.c to slab.h, placing
   them directly above the user-facing macros.

2. Providing explicit, typed C prototypes for the documented APIs inside
   '#if 0 /* kernel-doc */' blocks.

3. Converting the variadic macros for the documented APIs to use
   explicit arguments to match the documentation.

No functional change intended.

0fc1bd38a1 slab: improve KMALLOC_PARTITION_RANDOM randomness
When using CONFIG_KMALLOC_PARTITION_RANDOM, _RET_IP_ was previously used
to identify the allocation site. _RET_IP_, however, evaluates to the
caller's parent's instruction pointer rather than the actual allocation
site; this would lead to collisions where a function performs multiple
allocations.

With the generalization to kmalloc_token_t, we now generate the token at
the outermost macro, and using _THIS_IP_ would fix this for all cases.

Unfortunately, the generic implementation of _THIS_IP_ relies on taking
the address of a local label, which is considered broken by both GCC [1]
and Clang [2] because label addresses are only expected to be used with
computed gotos. While the generic version more or less works today, it
is known to be brittle. For example, Clang -O2 always returns 1 when
this function is inlined:

To provide a reliable unique identifier without breaking architectures
relying on the generic _THIS_IP_, introduce _CODE_LOCATION_: it resolves

falls back to a zero-cost static marker where _THIS_IP_ is broken.

feb662d916 slab: support for compiler-assisted type-based slab cache partitioning
Rework the general infrastructure around RANDOM_KMALLOC_CACHES into more
flexible KMALLOC_PARTITION_CACHES, with the former being a partitioning
mode of the latter.

Introduce a new mode, KMALLOC_PARTITION_TYPED, which leverages a feature
available in Clang 22 and later, called "allocation tokens" via
__builtin_infer_alloc_token() [1]. Unlike KMALLOC_PARTITION_RANDOM
(formerly RANDOM_KMALLOC_CACHES), this mode deterministically assigns a
slab cache to an allocation of type T, regardless of allocation site.

The builtin __builtin_infer_alloc_token(<malloc-args>, ...) instructs
the compiler to infer an allocation type from arguments commonly passed
to memory-allocating functions and returns a type-derived token ID. The
implementation passes kmalloc-args to the builtin: the compiler performs
best-effort type inference, and then recognizes common patterns such as
`kmalloc(sizeof(T), ...)`, `kmalloc(sizeof(T) * n, ...)`, but also
`(T *)kmalloc(...)`. Where the compiler fails to infer a type the
fallback token (default: 0) is chosen.

Note: kmalloc_obj(..) APIs fix the pattern how size and result type are
expressed, and therefore ensures there's not much drift in which
patterns the compiler needs to recognize. Specifically, kmalloc_obj()
and friends expand to `(TYPE *)KMALLOC(__obj_size, GFP)`, which the
compiler recognizes via the cast to TYPE*.

Clang's default token ID calculation is described as [1]:

   typehashpointersplit: This mode assigns a token ID based on the hash
   of the allocated type's name, where the top half ID-space is reserved
   for types that contain pointers and the bottom half for types that do
   not contain pointers.

Separating pointer-containing objects from pointerless objects and data
allocations can help mitigate certain classes of memory corruption
exploits [2]: attackers who gains a buffer overflow on a primitive
buffer cannot use it to directly corrupt pointers or other critical
metadata in an object residing in a different, isolated heap region.

It is important to note that heap isolation strategies offer a
best-effort approach, and do not provide a 100% security guarantee,
albeit achievable at relatively low performance cost. Note that this
also does not prevent cross-cache attacks: while waiting for future
features like SLAB_VIRTUAL [3] to provide physical page isolation, this
feature should be deployed alongside SHUFFLE_PAGE_ALLOCATOR and
init_on_free=1 to mitigate cross-cache attacks and page-reuse attacks as
much as possible today.

With all that, my kernel (x86 defconfig) shows me a histogram of slab
cache object distribution per /proc/slabinfo (after boot):

The above /proc/slabinfo snapshot shows me there are 6673 allocated
objects (slabs 00 - 07) that the compiler claims contain no pointers or
it was unable to infer the type of, and 12015 objects that contain
pointers (slabs 08 - 15). On a whole, this looks relatively sane.

Additionally, when I compile my kernel with -Rpass=alloc-token, which
provides diagnostics where (after dead-code elimination) type inference
failed, I see 186 allocation sites where the compiler failed to identify
a type (down from 966 when I sent the RFC [4]). Some initial review
confirms these are mostly variable sized buffers, but also include
structs with trailing flexible length arrays.

dc795d4c02 mm/slub: defer freelist construction until after bulk allocation from a new slab
Allocations from a fresh slab can consume all of its objects, and the
freelist built during slab allocation is discarded immediately as a result.

Instead of special-casing the whole-slab bulk refill case, defer freelist
construction until after objects are emitted from a fresh slab.
new_slab() now only allocates the slab and initializes its metadata.
refill_objects() then obtains a fresh slab and lets alloc_from_new_slab()
emit objects directly, building a freelist only for the objects left
unallocated; the same change is applied to alloc_single_from_new_slab().

To keep CONFIG_SLAB_FREELIST_RANDOM=y/n on the same path, introduce a
small iterator abstraction for walking free objects in allocation order.
The iterator is used both for filling the sheaf and for building the
freelist of the remaining objects.

Also mark setup_object() inline. After this optimization, the compiler no
longer consistently inlines this helper in the hot path, which can hurt
performance. Explicitly marking it inline restores the expected code
generation.

This reduces per-object overhead when allocating from a fresh slab.
The most direct benefit is in the paths that allocate objects first and
only build a freelist for the remainder afterward: bulk allocation from
a new slab in refill_objects(), single-object allocation from a new slab
in ___slab_alloc(), and the corresponding early-boot paths that now use
the same deferred-freelist scheme. Since refill_objects() is also used to
refill sheaves, the optimization is not limited to the small set of
kmem_cache_alloc_bulk()/kmem_cache_free_bulk() users; regular allocation
workloads may benefit as well when they refill from a fresh slab.

In slub_bulk_bench, the time per object drops by about 42% to 70% with
CONFIG_SLAB_FREELIST_RANDOM=n, and by about 58% to 69% with
CONFIG_SLAB_FREELIST_RANDOM=y. This benchmark is intended to isolate the
cost removed by this change: each iteration allocates exactly
slab->objects from a fresh slab. That makes it a near best-case scenario
for deferred freelist construction, because the old path still built a
full freelist even when no objects remained, while the new path avoids
that work. Realistic workloads may see smaller end-to-end gains depending
on how often allocations reach this fresh-slab refill path.

aa54b1d27f rxrpc: Also unshare DATA/RESPONSE packets when paged frags are present
The DATA-packet handler in rxrpc_input_call_event() and the RESPONSE
handler in rxrpc_verify_response() copy the skb to a linear one before
calling into the security ops only when skb_cloned() is true.  An skb
that is not cloned but still carries externally-owned paged fragments
(e.g. SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG set by splice() into a UDP socket via
__ip_append_data, or a chained skb_has_frag_list()) falls through to
the in-place decryption path, which binds the frag pages directly into
the AEAD/skcipher SGL via skb_to_sgvec().

Extend the gate to also unshare when skb_has_frag_list() or
skb_has_shared_frag() is true.  This catches the splice-loopback vector
and other externally-shared frag sources while preserving the
zero-copy fast path for skbs whose frags are kernel-private (e.g. NIC
page_pool RX, GRO).  The OOM/trace handling already in place is reused.

3ac1a467e3 bpf: Fix off-by-one boundary validation in arena direct-value access
BPF_MAP_TYPE_ARENA accepts BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_VALUE offsets at exactly
the end of the arena mapping (off == arena_size). The boundary check
in arena_map_direct_value_addr() uses `>` instead of `>=`, which
incorrectly allows a one-past-end pointer to be accepted.

Change the condition to `>=` to correctly reject offsets that fall
outside the valid arena user_vm range.

bf6d507f7e xskmap: reject TX-only AF_XDP sockets
XSKMAP entries are used as redirect targets for incoming XDP frames.
A TX-only AF_XDP socket lacks an Rx ring and cannot handle redirected
traffic, but xsk_map_update_elem() currently allows such sockets to
be inserted into the map.

Redirecting packets to such a socket on the veth generic-XDP path
causes a kernel crash in xsk_generic_rcv().

This became possible after xsk_is_setup_for_bpf_map() was removed from
the XSKMAP update path, which allowed bound TX-only sockets to be
inserted into the map.

Reject TX-only sockets during XSKMAP updates to avoid the crash.
They remain fully operational for pure Tx purposes outside XSKMAP.

512809bb8a bpf: Don't run arg-tracking analysis twice on main subprog
Because subprog 0, the main subprog, is considered a global function,
we end up running the arg-tracking dataflow analysis twice on it. That
results in slightly longer verification but mostly in more verbose
verifier logs. This patch fixes it by keeping only the iteration over
global subprogs.

When running over all of Cilium's programs with BPF_LOG_LEVEL2, this
reduces verbosity by ~20% on average.
