Register the dw-hdmi-qp bridge driver as an HDMI audio codec.
The register values computation functions (for n) are based on the
downstream driver, as well as the register writing functions.
The driver uses the generic HDMI Codec framework in order to implement
the HDMI audio support.

Link Training Tunable PHY Repeaters (LTTPRs) are defined in DisplayPort
1.4a specification. As the name suggests, these PHY repeaters are
capable of adjusting their output for link training purposes.
According to the DisplayPort standard, LTTPRs have two operating
modes:
- non-transparent - it replies to DPCD LTTPR field specific AUX
requests, while passes through all other AUX requests
- transparent - it passes through all AUX requests.
Switching between these two modes is done by the DPTX by issuing
an AUX write to the DPCD PHY_REPEATER_MODE register.
The msm DP driver is currently lacking any handling of LTTPRs.
This means that if at least one LTTPR is found between DPTX and DPRX,
the link training would fail if that LTTPR was not already configured
in transparent mode.
The section 3.6.6.1 from the DisplayPort v2.0 specification mandates
that before link training with the LTTPR is started, the DPTX may place
the LTTPR in non-transparent mode by first switching to transparent mode
and then to non-transparent mode. This operation seems to be needed only
on first link training and doesn't need to be done again until device is
unplugged.
It has been observed on a few X Elite-based platforms which have
such LTTPRs in their board design that the DPTX needs to follow the
procedure described above in order for the link training to be successful.
So add support for reading the LTTPR DPCD caps to figure out the number
of such LTTPRs first. Then, for platforms (or Type-C dongles) that have
at least one such an LTTPR, set its operation mode to transparent mode
first and then to non-transparent, just like the mentioned section of
the specification mandates.

is handling the explicit disabling of non-transparent mode and its
disable->enable sequence mentioned in the DP Standard v2.0 section
3.6.6.1.
So use the new drm generic helper instead as it makes the code a bit
cleaner. Since the driver specific implementation holds the
lttrp_common_caps, if the call to the drm generic helper fails, the
lttrp_common_caps need to be updated as the helper has already rolled
back to transparent mode.

There are conditions, albeit somewhat unlikely, under which right hand
expressions, calculating the end of time period in functions like
repaper_frame_fixed_repeat(), may overflow.
For instance, if 'factor10x' in repaper_get_temperature() is high
enough (170), as is 'epd->stage_time' in repaper_probe(), then the
resulting value of 'end' will not fit in unsigned int expression.
Mitigate this by casting 'epd->factored_stage_time' to wider type before
any multiplication is done.
Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with static
analysis tool SVACE.

Currently CONFIG_PWM is a bool but I intend to change it to tristate. If
CONFIG_PWM=m in the configuration, the cpp symbol CONFIG_PWM isn't
defined and so the PWM code paths in the ti-sn65dsi86 driver are not
used.
The correct way to check for CONFIG_PWM is using IS_REACHABLE which does
the right thing for all cases
CONFIG_DRM_TI_SN65DSI86 ∈ { y, m } x CONFIG_PWM ∈ { y, m, n }.
There is no change until CONFIG_PWM actually becomes tristate.

Replace a copy of DRM scheduler's to_drm_sched_job with a copy of a newly
added drm_sched_entity_queue_pop.
This allows breaking the hidden dependency that queue_node has to be the
first element in struct drm_sched_job.
A comment is also added with a reference to the mailing list discussion
explaining the copied helper will be removed when the whole broken
amdgpu_job_stop_all_jobs_on_sched is removed.

Idea is to add helpers for peeking and popping jobs from entities with
the goal of decoupling the hidden assumption in the code that queue_node
is the first element in struct drm_sched_job.
That assumption usually comes in the form of:
while ((job = to_drm_sched_job(spsc_queue_pop(&entity->job_queue))))
Which breaks if the queue_node is re-positioned due to_drm_sched_job
being implemented with a container_of.
This also allows us to remove duplicate definitions of to_drm_sched_job.

Function graph accounting fixes:
- Fix the manage ops hashes
The function graph registers a "manager ops" and "sub-ops" to ftrace.
The manager ops does not have any callback but calls the sub-ops
callbacks. The manage ops hashes (what is used to tell ftrace what
functions to attach to) is built on the sub-ops it manages.
There was an error in the way it built the hash. An empty hash means to
attach to all functions. When the manager ops had one sub-ops it properly
copied its hash. But when the manager ops had more than one sub-ops, it
went into a loop to make a set of all functions it needed to add to the
hash. If any of the subops hashes was empty, that would mean to attach
to all functions. The error was that the first iteration of the loop
passed in an empty hash to start with in order to add the other hashes.
That starting hash was mistaken as to attach to all functions. This made
the manage ops attach to all functions whenever it had two or more
sub-ops, even if each sub-op was attached to only a single function.
- Do not add duplicate entries to the manager ops hash
If two or more subops hashes trace the same function, an entry for that
function will be added to the manager ops for each subops. This causes
waste and extra overhead.
Fprobe accounting fixes:
- Remove last function from fprobe hash
Fprobes has a ftrace hash to manage which functions an fprobe is attached
to. It also has a counter of how many fprobes are attached. When the last
fprobe is removed, it unregisters the fprobe from ftrace but does not
remove the functions the last fprobe was attached to from the hash. This
leaves the old functions attached. When a new fprobe is added, the fprobe
infrastructure attaches to not only the functions of the new fprobe, but
also to the functions of the last fprobe.
- Fix accounting of the fprobe counter
When a fprobe is added, it updates a counter. If the counter goes from
zero to one, it attaches its ops to ftrace. When an fprobe is removed, the
counter is decremented. If the counter goes from 1 to zero, it removes the
fprobes ops from ftrace. There was an issue where if two fprobes trace the
same function, the addition of each fprobe would increment the counter.
But when removing the first of the fprobes, it would notice that another
fprobe is still attached to one of its functions no it does not remove
the functions from the ftrace ops. But it also did not decrement the
counter. When the last fprobe is removed, the counter is still one. This
leaves the fprobes callback still registered with ftrace and it being
called by the functions defined by the fprobes ops hash. Worse yet,
because all the functions from the fprobe ops hash have been removed, that
tells ftrace that it wants to trace all functions. Thus, this puts the
state of the system where every function is calling the fprobe callback
handler (which does nothing as there are no registered fprobes), but this
causes a good 13% slow down of the entire system.

- Add a selftest to test the above issues to prevent regressions.
- Fix preempt count accounting in function tracing
Better recursion protection was added to function tracing which added
another layer of preempt disable. As the preempt_count gets traced in the
event, it needs to subtract the amount of preempt disabling the tracer
does to record what the preempt_count was when the trace was triggered.
- Fix memory leak in output of set_event
A variable is passed by the seq_file functions in the location that is
set by the return of the next() function. The start() function allocates
it and the stop() function frees it. But when the last item is found, the
next() returns NULL which leaks the data that was allocated in start().
The m->private is used for something else, so have next() free the data
when it returns NULL, as stop() will then just receive NULL in that case.

If mhi_fw_load_handler() bails out early because the EE is not capable
of loading firmware, we may reference fw_load_type in cleanup which is
uninitialized at this point. The cleanup code checks fw_load_type as a
proxy for knowing if fbc_image was allocated and needs to be freed, but
we can directly test for that. This avoids the possible uninitialized
access and appears to be clearer code.
