Replace the #include of <linux/mod_devicetable.h> by the more specific
<linux/device-id/*.h> where applicable. For most cases the include
can be dropped completely, only a few drivers need one or two headers
added.

ASoC: SDCA: Validate written enum value in ge_put_enum_double()
ge_put_enum_double() passes the user-supplied enumeration index
item[0] to snd_soc_enum_item_to_val() without checking it against the
number of items in the enum:

	ret = snd_soc_enum_item_to_val(e, item[0]);

snd_soc_enum_item_to_val() indexes the heap-allocated e->values[] array
with that index (e->values is set from a devm_kcalloc() of e->items
entries), so a control write with an out-of-range item[0] reads past the
end of the values buffer.  The bounds check in
snd_soc_dapm_put_enum_double() only runs afterwards, so it does not
prevent the read here.

Reject an out-of-range item before using it, matching the other enum put
handlers.

This issue was pointed out by the Sashiko AI review bot while reviewing a

descriptors and calls sdca_dev_unregister() on each func_dev without
checking for NULL. When a function registration has failed partway
through, or the device cleanup races with probe deferral, func_dev

This was observed on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G14 (Panther Lake)
with the SOF audio driver probe failing due to missing Panther Lake
firmware, causing the subsequent cleanup of SoundWire devices to
trigger the crash.

Fix this with three changes:

1) Add a NULL guard in sdca_dev_unregister() so that callers do not
   need to pre-validate the pointer (defense in depth).

2) In sdca_dev_unregister_functions(), skip NULL func_dev entries
   and clear func_dev to NULL after unregistration, making the
   function idempotent and safe against double-invocation.

3) In sdca_dev_register_functions(), roll back all previously
   registered functions when a later one fails, so the function
   array is never left in a partially-populated state.

ASoC: SDCA: Make CONFIG_SND_SOC_SDCA a user selectable symbol
Currently, CONFIG_SND_SOC_SDCA is a hidden Kconfig symbol, so it must be
selected by a user selectable symbol to be enabled. However, it may not
be possible for configurations to select this symbol without running
into a recursive dependency issue:

ASoC: SDCA: Add PDE verification reusable helper
Implement sdca_asoc_pde_ensure_ps() helper function to poll for PDE
power state transitions. Per SDCA specification, after writing
REQUESTED_PS, drivers must poll ACTUAL_PS until the target power state
is reached.

Changes include:
- Add sdca_asoc_pde_ensure_ps() to handle ACTUAL_PS polling with
  support for device-specific delay tables or default intervals
- Export function via sdca_asoc.h for use by SDCA-compliant drivers
- Refactor entity_pde_event() in sdca_asoc.c to use the helper

ASoC: SDCA: Support devices with multiple functions of identical type
It is possible that SDCAs devices might have multiple functions of
the same type, as the entity names within a function are defined by
the specification it is very likely such a device will have duplicate
entities. This causes problems where DAIs and ALSA controls end up
with clashing names.

This can be handled by adding the function address into the names to
ensure uniqueness, although, ideally this would have been included from
the start. User-space already has UCM using the current control names,
so as a compromise the first function of a given type will use the
raw entity names, then duplicates will get an added function address.

ASoC: SDCA: Remove sdca_function_data duplication
The class driver internally has an array of sdca_function_data pointers
that it uses to store the parsed DisCo data. However, there is already
an sdca_function_data attached to the auxdev device. It makes more sense
to use the one already provided in the auxdev device, as it could also
be used by custom drivers for parts that require those.

Using the auxdev copy also prevents the need for the class function
drivers to search through the array for the correct data, which
currently is based off matching the function type. This has problems
when two functions have the same type as the current code will find the
same data for both drivers, using the auxdev copy of the data avoids
this problem.

ASoC: SDCA: Add correct masks whilst reporting SDCA jack status
Currently, all SDCA jacks simply report against a mask of 0xFFFF. This
works fine for system with a single SDCA jack control as the status
reflects that single control at all times. However, if two SDCA
jack controls exist in the system, such as a separate representation for
input and output, then the second control can cancel reports from the
other since it will only report its relevant bits and zero in all other
slots. This is exactly what the mask is for.

Build up a mask using all the possible states for an SCDA jack control
at registration time and use that mask when reporting a particular jack.
It is worth noting this still doesn't handle cases such as two headphone
jacks as that would require separate ALSA jacks to report to.

ASoC: Correct bug parsing DisCo booleans

MIPI DisCo uses the unfortunate convention of allowing boolean
properties to be present but having a zero value. Opposed to the
normal convention of simply not specifying the property. Fix an
issue in the SDCA code where mipi-sdca-control-deferrable is not
parsed correctly.

However, we also have some shipping ACPIs where these properties
are not specified correctly. Update the MBQ regmap to attempt defers
albeit with a warning in the case where a control attempts to defer
but is not marked at such. There is little down side to this as if
defer is genuinely not supported then the control will just return
the same error again.

The discussion in [1] highlighted that the SDCA code shouldn't be using
fwnode_property_read_bool() for DisCo controls, as the spec allows setting
the value to zero meaning the property should not be used. Correct a
small bug in the SDCA code that will mark such controls as deferrable.

ASoC: SDCA: Tidy up irq_enable_flags()/sdca_irq_disable()
In irq_enable_flags() and sdca_irq_disable() there is a NULL
check on the interrupt data pointer, however this is just pulled
from an array so can never be NULL. This was likely left over
from an earlier version that looked up the data in a different
way. Replace the check with checking for the IRQ itself being
non-zero.

Whilst here also drop the sdca_interrupt structure down into
the loop within the function to better match the style of the
rest of the code in this file.

ASoC: SDCA: Fix cleanup inversion in class driver
Fix inverted cleanup of the SoundWire IRQ and the function drivers
that use it.

The devm cleanup function to call sdca_dev_unregister_functions() was
being registered at the end of class_sdw_probe(). The bus core
creates the parent SoundWire IRQ handler after class_sdw_probe() has
returned, and it registers a devm cleanup handler at the same time.

This led to a cleanup inversion where the devm cleanup for the parent
Soundwire IRQ runs before the handler that removes the function drivers.
So the parent IRQ is destroyed before the function drivers had a chance
to do any cleanup and remove their IRQ handlers.

Move the registrations of the function driver cleanup into
class_boot_work() after the function drivers are registered, so that it
runs before the cleanup of the parent SoundWire IRQ handler.

ASoC: SDCA: Unregister IRQ handlers on module remove
Ensure that all interrupt handlers are unregistered before the parent
regmap_irq is unregistered.

sdca_irq_cleanup() was only called from the component_remove(). If the
module was loaded and removed without ever being component probed the
FDL interrupts would not be unregistered and this would hit a WARN
when devm called regmap_del_irq_chip() during the removal of the
parent IRQ.

ASoC: SDCA: Fix errors in IRQ cleanup
IRQs are enabled through sdca_irq_populate() from component probe
using devm_request_threaded_irq(), this however means the IRQs can
persist if the sound card is torn down. Some of the IRQ handlers
store references to the card and the kcontrols which can then
fail. Some detail of the crash was explained in [1].

Generally it is not advised to use devm outside of bus probe, so
the code is updated to not use devm. The IRQ requests are not moved
to bus probe time as it makes passing the snd_soc_component into
the IRQs very awkward and would the require a second step once the
component is available, so it is simpler to just register the IRQs
at this point, even though that necessitates some manual cleanup.

ASoC: SDCA: Export Q7.8 volume control helpers
Export the Q7.8 volume control helpers to allow reuse
by other ASoC drivers. These functions handle 16-bit
signed Q7.8 fixed-point format values for volume controls.

Changes include:
- Rename q78_get_volsw to sdca_asoc_q78_get_volsw
- Rename q78_put_volsw to sdca_asoc_q78_put_volsw
- Add a convenience macro SDCA_SINGLE_Q78_TLV and
  SDCA_DOUBLE_Q78_TLV for creating mixer controls

This allows other ASoC drivers to easily implement controls
using the Q7.8 fixed-point format without duplicating code.

This patch fixes an issue like:
where searching for the entity 'FU 11' could incorrectly match 'FU 113' first.
The driver should first perform an exact match on the full string name.
If no exact match is found, it can then fall back to a partial match.

Normally the SDCA jack detection controls will be named after the GE
widget that represents the grouping of everything in the topology
controlled by the jack selection. However, in the case that the jack
selection only controls a single widget the control will be named after
the SU widget that implements that. It is rather confusing to have the
jack detection controls change naming scheme between devices. Add a new
widget type, similar to mixer widgets, to force use of the control name
rather than falling back to the widget names.

ASoC: SDCA: Use named control mux for GE/SU controls
Most of the time a GE Entity will control many SU Entities and thus the
generated control will use the control name, since the control is
shared. However, in rare cases the GE Entity will only control a single
SU Entity. In this case the control is only linked to a single SU widget
and will thus inherit the name from that. This leads to the naming for
the Selected Mode control to be unpredictable. Update to use the new
named control muxes to always force the use of the control name.

Another fairly mixed bag of small SDCA fixes/improvements. Fix one DisCo
property that was treated as mandatory but is actually not present in
the first version of the specification. Fix the counting of routes for
SU/GE DAPM widgets, this currently makes assumptions that are not
guaranteed to be true which can result in too many/few DAPM routes.

Then finally a couple improvements to the volume controls, simplify the
mapping between ALSA and SDCA volumes and pull the volume stuff back
into the SDCA code. It just wasn't sitting right with me that it was
being handled in the ASoC core given it is unlikely to ever see any
reuse outside of SDCA.

ASoC: SDCA: Improve mapping of Q7.8 SDCA volumes
SDCA measures volumes in 256ths of a dB, whereas ALSA measures
volumes in 100ths of a dB. Currently the SDCA volume controls are
mapped to ALSA controls by mapping the step size and working out
the number of steps for this mapped step size. Due to quantization
of the step size this means the number of steps in the ALSA
control will rarely match the number of steps in the SDCA control,
leading to skipped values and multiple values that map to the
same volume. This is not a huge problem, the volume is still
increasing and the differences will be small but it is not really
desirable.

It is simpler and more accurate to count the number of steps based on
the SDCA volume levels. This gives a 1-to-1 mapping between control
values and register volumes. The TLV is based on a minimum and maximum
volume so still accurately specifies the volume range.

ASoC: SDCA: Update counting of SU/GE DAPM routes
Device Layer Selector Unit's are controlled by a Group Entity control
rather than by the host directly. For the purposes of the ASoC class
driver the number of input routes to the SU is controlled by the number
of options within the Group Entity Selected Mode Control. ie. One valid
DAPM route for each valid route defined in the Group Entity.

Currently the code assumes that a Device Layer SU will have a number of
routes equal to the number of potential sources for the SU. ie. it
counts the routes using the SU, but then creates the routes using the
GE. However, this isn't actually true, it is perfectly allowed for the
GE to only define options for some of the potential sources of the SU.o
In such a case the number of routes return will not match those created,
leading to either an overflow of the routes array or undefined routes to
be past to the ASoC core, both of which generally lead to the sound card
failing to probe.

Update the handling for the counting of routes to count the connected
routes on the GE itself and then ignore the source routes on the SU.
This makes it match the logic generating the routes and ensuring that
both remain in sync.

bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

It is helpful to have something in the log showing which firmware file
was loaded by the driver. Update the existing FDL disk file debug
statement to just note that a disk file rather than ACPI file was used,
and add a new info printk that prints out the details of the loaded file
regardless of where that file came from. Likewise, sometimes it is
useful to get a message if the file-sets list is missing, although this
isn't technically an error so make it a debug.

d7730c44b7 ASoC: SDCA: Still process most of the jack detect if control is missing
DAPM creates its controls very late in the card creation, so
there is no call into the driver after the controls are created. This
means the jack IRQs can't be guaranteed to be registered after the ALSA
controls are available. If a jack IRQ is received before the controls
are available, currently the driver does not update the Selected Mode as
it is required by the specification to do.

If the ALSA controls are not available update the Selected Mode directly
rather than going through the ALSA control. The ALSA control should pick
up the state once it is created.

9fad74b79e ASoC: SDCA: Handle volatile controls correctly
There are very few volatile controls in SDCA that are exported
as ALSA controls, typically Detected Mode is the only common
one. However, the current code does not resume the device when
these ALSA controls are accessed, which will result in the
read/write failing.

Add a new wrapper specifically for volatile controls that will do
the required pm_runtime operations before accessing the register.
