ASoC: cs35l56: Fix out-of-bounds in dev_err() in cs35l56_read_onchip_spkid()
Remove the incorrect use of onchip_spkid_gpios[i] in the dev_err() after
regmap_read() of CS35L56_GPIO_STATUS1 returns an error.

This dev_err() was incorrectly copy-pasted from one inside the for-loop,
where i was valid. The read of CS35L56_GPIO_STATUS1 isn't for a specific
GPIO register, so the use of onchip_spkid_gpios[i] in the error message is
both irrelevant and out-of-bounds here.

ASoC: cs35l56: Fix hibernate write in runtime resume error path
The error path of cs35l56_runtime_resume_common() should only write
the hibernation sequence if can_hibernate is true.

Something has already gone badly wrong if we ever reach the error
path. But triggering hibernate on hardware that does not support it
is likely to make the situation unrecoverable without a full reboot
because there might not be any hardware signal to exit hibernate.

ASoC: cs35l56: Fix illegal writes to OTP_MEM registers
Mark the OTP_MEM registers as volatile so that regcache_sync() will not
attempt to write to them.

These registers hold a constant, and originally they were marked as
readable non-volatile so that this value would be read into the regmap
cache. The problem with this is regcache_sync() issues a write for any
cached register that does not have a reg_default.

Though these registers are constants and writing them in normal use
cannot change OTP, it is illegal for the host to write to them.

ASoC: cs35l56: Allow factory calibration through ALSA controls
Add support for using ALSA controls to trigger a factory calibration.
This is protected by a new Kconfig option so that it is only available
if explicitly enabled in the kernel. By default it is not enabled.

Factory calibration is normally done through debugfs files.
Google have requested that factory calibration can be performed by
repair shops. These repair shops only have access to the standard
"user" kernel, which does not include debugfs.

ASoC: cs35l56: Only patch ASP registers if the DAI is part of a DAIlink
Move the ASP register patches to a separate struct and apply this from the
ASP DAI probe() function so that the registers are only patched if the DAI
is part of a DAI link.

Some systems use the ASP as a special-purpose interconnect and on these
systems the ASP registers are configured by a third party (the firmware,
the BIOS, or another device using the amp's secondary host control
interface).

If the machine driver does not hook up the ASP DAI then the ASP registers
must be omitted from the patch to prevent overwriting the third party
configuration.

If the machine driver includes the ASP DAI in a DAI link, this implies that
the machine driver and higher components (such as alsa-ucm) are taking
ownership of the ASP. In this case the ASP registers are patched to known
defaults and the machine driver should configure the ASP.

ASoC: cs35l56-shared: KUnit tests for onchip speaker ID gpios
Add KUnit testing of:
 cs35l56_check_and_save_onchip_spkid_gpios()
 cs35l56_configure_onchip_spkid_pads()
 cs35l56_read_onchip_spkid()

The test consists of:

- A mock regmap that simulates the pad and pin config registers.

- Parameterization of the pin list, pulls list, a simulated value for
  each pin and the speaker ID value that this should produce.

- A self-test of the simulated pin and GPIO registers.

- A test that the value returned by cs35l56_read_onchip_spkid() is
  correct.

- A test that the pin pull-up/down are set correctly by
  cs35l56_configure_onchip_spkid_pads()

- A test that cs35l56_configure_onchip_spkid_pads() and
  cs35l56_read_onchip_spkid(0 return the expected values if
  cs35l56_base->num_onchip_spkid_gpios == 0.

- A test that cs35l56_check_and_save_onchip_spkid_gpios() saves
  the configuration.

- A test that cs35l56_check_and_save_onchip_spkid_gpios() rejects
  illegal GPIO numbers.

- A test that cs35l56_check_and_save_onchip_spkid_gpios() rejects
  illegal pull types.

ASoC: cs35l56: Support for reading speaker ID from on-chip GPIOs
Add support for using the state of pins on the amplifier to indicate
the type of speaker fitted.

Previously, where there were alternate speaker vendors, this was
indicated using host CPU GPIOs.

Some new Dell models use spare pins on the CS35L63 as GPIOs for the
speaker ID detection.

Cirrus-specific SDCA Disco properties provide a list of the pins to be
used, and pull-up/down settings for the pads. This list is ordered,
MSbit to LSbit.

The code to set the firmware filename has been modified to check for
using chip pins for speaker ID. The entire block of code to set
firmware name has been moved out of cs35l56_component_probe() into
its own function to make it easier to KUnit test.

ASoC: cs35l56: Log a message if firmware is missing
If the amp is still reporting FIRMWARE_MISSING after cs35l56_patch()
has completed it is helpful to log a warning.

After a complete firmware download the FIRMWARE_MISSING flag will be
clear. If this isn't the case, the driver should log a message to
report this.

The amp can produce basic audio output without firmware, as a fallback,
so this wasn't originally logged as a warning condition because the amp
is still in an operational state - just not with full functionality.
However, it was not at all obvious to an end user that anything is
unusual.

ASoC: cs35l56: Allow restoring factory calibration through ALSA control
Add an ALSA control (CAL_DATA) that can be used to restore amp calibration,
instead of using debugfs. A readback control (CAL_DATA_RB) is also added
for factory testing.

On ChromeOS the process that restores amp calibration from NVRAM has
limited permissions and cannot access debugfs. It requires an ALSA control
that it can write the calibration blob into. ChromeOS also restricts access
to ALSA controls, which avoids the risk of accidental or malicious
overwriting of good calibration data with bad data. As this control is not
needed for normal Linux-based distros it is a Kconfig option.

A separate control, CAL_DATA_RB, provides a readback of the current
calibration data, which could be either from a write to CAL_DATA or the
result of factory production-line calibration.

The write and read are intentionally separate controls to defeat "dumb"
save-and-restore tools like alsa-restore that assume it is safe to save
all control values and write them back in any order at some undefined
future time. Such behavior carries the risk of restoring stale or bad data
over the top of good data.

ASoC: cs35l56: Add control to read CAL_SET_STATUS
Create an ALSA control to read the value of the firmware
CAL_SET_STATUS control. This reports whether the firmware is
using a calibration blob or the default calibration from the
.bin file.

The firmware only reports a valid value in this register while
audio is actually playing and the internal PLL is locked to the
audio clock. Otherwise it returns a status of "unknown".

ASoC: cs35l56: Alter error codes for calibration routine
Adjust the error codes returned by the calibration debugfs files
to provide a wider range of errors and make them more consistent.

There is a limited number of standard errors and it's not always
easy to find an error code that accurately describes what happened.
Additionally, user code often uses strerror() or something similar
to report a generic error description. The original calibration
code used a limited set of errors to attempt to avoid user error
strings that would be confusing or unclear on a file read/write.
However, this restricts the ability to provide informative errors.

This limited error range didn't help very much with debugging so
it has been expanded, rather than worrying about what strerror()
would return.

The errors are now more consistent:

ENXIO       Calibration is not supported by the driver.
EOPNOTSUPP  The given calibration command is not supported.
EBUSY       Cannot calibrate because the amp is playing audio.
ERANGE      Calibration result was out-of-range.
ETIMEDOUT   Calibration did not complete.
EMSGSIZE    Blob written to cal_data is the wrong size.
ENODATA     No calibration data available to read from cal_data,
            or
            Blob written to cal_data does not contain calibration,
            or
            No calibration data available to save to UEFI.
EIO         General failure to communicate with the firmware, mainly
            indicating that firmware controls are missing.
EINVAL      Has its normal meaning that an invalid argument was passed.

ASoC: cs35l56: Add calibration command to store into UEFI
Add a new command 'store_uefi' to the calibrate debugfs file.
Writing this command will call cs_amp_set_efi_calibration_data()
to save the new data into a UEFI variable. This is intended to
be used after a successful factory calibration.

On systems without UEFI the write to the debugfs file will
return an error.

ASoC: cs35l56: Add common code for factory calibration
Add core code to support factory calibration. This can be used by both
the ASoC and HDA drivers.

This code consists of implementations of debugfs handlers for three
debugfs files used to start factory calibration and read the results.

This is not a full implementation of debugfs files. There are some
requirements to synchronize with the rest of the amp driver, and the way
this is done is significantly different between ASoC and HDA. Therefore
cs35l56-shared.c provides the main part of the file handlers, but the
files themselves are defined in the ASoC and HDA drivers with suitable
handling before calling into this shared code.

The cal_data file allows the calibration to be read and also for a
previous calibration to be written (for systems where the storage is not
something directly accessible to drivers, such as on filesystems). Code
outside the kernel should treat the content of cal_data as an opaque blob,
so the struct definition is not exported as a user API.

ASoC: cs35l56: Read silicon ID during initialization and save it
Read the silicon ID from the amp during one-time cs35l56_hw_init()
and store it in struct cs35l56_base, instead of reading it from
registers every time it is needed.

Note that marking it non-volatile without a default in regmap isn't
a suitable alternative because this causes regcache_sync() to always
write the cached value out to the registers. This could trigger a bus
fault interrupt inside the amp, which we want to avoid.

Defer setting the cs35l56_base.fw_regs pointer until after the REVID has
been read in cs35l56_hw_init(). Also make the corresponding change to the
cs35l56_hda drivers to prevent a build break.

This is preparing for firmware registers that change address between
revisions of the same device.

ASoC: cs35l56: Check for vendor-specific speaker ID value
Call cs_amp_get_vendor_spkid() to get use a vendor-specific speaker ID
value, if one exists.

The speaker ID is used to load an appropriate set of firmware files for the
speakers, and is usually read from a GPIO. Some manufacturers are instead
using a custom UEFI variable for the speaker ID.

ASoC: cs35l56: probe() should fail if the device ID is not recognized
Return an error from driver probe if the DEVID read from the chip is not
one supported by this driver.

In cs35l56_hw_init() there is a check for valid DEVID, but the invalid
case was returning the value of ret. At this point in the code ret == 0
so the caller would think that cs35l56_hw_init() was successful.

ASoC: cs35l56: Add initial support for CS35L63 for I2C and SoundWire
CS35L63 uses a similar control interface to CS35L56 so support for
it can be added into the CS35L56 driver.
New regmap configs have been added to support CS35L63.
CS35L63 only has SoundWire and I2C control interfaces.

ASoC: cs35l56: Add Mute, Volume and Posture registers to firmware register list
Registers to set Mute, Volume and Posture are inside firmware,
which means they should be added to the list of registers set inside
firmware, in case they vary across Device or Revision.

These three registers are also used for controls, so additional
handling is required to be able to obtain and set the register inside
ALSA controls.

ASoC: cs35l56: Prevent races when soft-resetting using SPI control
When SPI is used for control, the driver must hold the SPI bus lock
while issuing the sequence of writes to perform a soft reset.

>From the time the driver writes the SYSTEM_RESET command until the
driver does a write to terminate the reset, there must not be any
activity on the SPI bus lines. If there is any SPI activity during the
soft-reset, another soft-reset will be triggered. The state of the SPI
chip select is irrelevant.

A repeated soft-reset does not in itself cause any problems, and it is
not an infinite loop. The problem is a race between these resets and
the driver polling for boot completion. There is a time window between
soft resets where the driver could read HALO_STATE as 2 (fully booted)
while the chip is actually soft-resetting. Although this window is
small, it is long enough that it is possible to hit it in normal
operation.

To prevent this race and ensure the chip really is fully booted, the
driver calls spi_bus_lock() to prevent other activity while resetting.
It then issues the SYSTEM_RESET mailbox command. After allowing
sufficient time for reset to take effect, the driver issues a PING
mailbox command, which will force completion of the full soft-reset
sequence. The SPI bus lock can then be released. The mailbox is
checked for any boot or wakeup response from the firmware, before the
value in HALO_STATE will be trusted.

This does not affect SoundWire or I2C control.

ASoC: cs35l56: Make struct regmap_config const
It's now possible to declare instances of struct regmap_config as
const data.

ASoC: Intel: Remove skylake driver
Merge series from Cezary Rojewski <cezary.rojewski@intel.com>:

A spiritual successor to haswell/baytrail removal series [1].

The avs-driver found in sound/soc/intel/avs is a direct replacement to
the existing skylake-driver. It covers all features supported by it and
more and aligns with the recommended flows and requirements based on
Windows driver equivalent.

The skylake-driver related UAPI has been removed with "ASoC: Drop
soc-topology ABI v4 support" [2].

For the official kernel tree the deprecation begun with v6.0. Most
skylake-drivers users moved to avs- or SOF-driver when AudioDSP
capabilities are available on the platform or to snd-hda-intel
(sound/pci/hda) when such capabilities are not.

For the supported trees the deprecation begun with v5.4 with v5.15 being
the first where the skylake-driver is disabled entirely.

All machine board drivers that consume this DSP driver have their
replacements present within sound/soc/intel/avs/boards/ directory.

ASoC: cs35l56: Patch CS35L56_IRQ1_MASK_18 to the default value
Device tuning files made with early revision tooling may contain
configuration that can unmask IRQ signals that are owned by the host.

Adding a safe default to the regmap patch ensures that the hardware
matches the driver expectations.

ASoC: cs35l56: Revert support for dual-ownership of ASP registers
This patch reverts a series of commits that allowed for the ASP
registers to be owned by either the driver or the firmware. Nothing
currently depends on the functionality that is being reverted, so
it is safe to remove.

These reverts have been squashed into a single commit because there
would be no reason to revert only some of them (which would just
reintroduce bugs).

The changes introduced by the commits were well-intentioned but
somewhat misguided. ACPI does not provide any information about how
audio hardware is linked together, so that information has to be
hardcoded into drivers. On Windows the firmware is customized to
statically setup appropriate configuration of the audio links,
and the intent of the commits was to re-use this information if the
Linux host drivers aren't taking control of the ASP. This would
avoid having to hardcode the ASP config into the machine driver on
some systems.

However, this added complexity and race conditions into the driver.
It also complicates implementation of new code.

The only case where the ASP is used but the host is not taking
ownership is when CS35L56 is used in SoundWire mode with the ASP
as a reference audio interconnect. But even in that case it's not
necessarily required even if the firmware initialized it. Typically
it is used to avoid the host SDCA drivers having to be capable of
aggregating capture paths from multiple SoundWire peripherals. But
the SOF SoundWire support is capable of doing that aggregation.

Reverting all these commits significantly simplifies the driver.
Let's just use the normal Linux mechanisms of the machine driver and
ALSA controls to set things up instead of trying to use the firmware
to do use-case setup.

ASoC: cs35l56: Accept values greater than 0 as IRQ numbers
IRQ lookup functions such as those in ACPI can return error values when
an IRQ is not defined. The i2c core driver converts the error codes to a
value of 0 and the SPI bus driver passes them unaltered to client device
drivers.

The cs35l56 driver should only accept positive non-zero values as IRQ
numbers.

ASoC: cs35l56: Disconnect ASP1 TX sources when ASP1 DAI is hooked up
If the ASP1 DAI is hooked up by the machine driver the ASP TX mixer
sources should be initialized to disconnected. There aren't currently
any available products using the ASP so this doesn't affect any
existing systems.

The cs35l56 does not have any fixed default for the mixer source
registers. When the cs35l56 boots, its firmware patches these registers
to setup a system-specific routing; this is so that Windows can use
generic SDCA drivers instead of needing knowledge of chip-specific
registers. The setup varies between end-products, which each have
customized firmware, and so the default register state varies between
end-products. It can also change if the firmware on an end-product is
upgraded - for example if a change was needed to the routing for Windows
use-cases. It must be emphasized that the settings applied by the
firmware are not internal magic tuning; they are statically implementing
use-case setup that on Linux would be done via ALSA controls.

The driver is currently syncing the mixer controls with whatever
initial state the firmware wrote to the registers, so that they report
the actual audio routing. But if the ASP DAI is hooked up this can create
a powered-up DAPM graph without anything intentionally setting up a path.
This can lead to parts of the audio system powering up unexpectedly.

For example when cs35l56 is connected to cs42l43 using a codec-codec link,
this can create a complete DAPM graph which then powers-up cs42l43. But
the cs42l43 can only be clocked from its SoundWire bus so this causes a
bunch of errors in the kernel log where cs42l43 is unexpectedly powered-up
without a clock.

If the host is taking ownership of the ASP (either directly or as a
codec-to-codec link) there is no need to keep the mixer settings that the
firmware wrote. The driver has ALSA controls for setting these using
standard Linux mechanisms. So if the machine driver hooks up the ASP the
ASP mixers are initialized to "None" (no input). This prevents unintended
DAPM-graph power-ups, and means the initial state of the mixers is
always going to be None.

Since the initial state of the mixers can vary from system to system and
potentially between firmware upgrades, no use-case manager can currently
assume that cs35l56 has a known initial state. The firmware could just as
easily default them to "None" as to any input source. So defaulting them
to "None" in the driver is not increasing the entropy of the system.

ASoC: cs35l56: Attempt to read from cirrus,speaker-id device property first
When cs35l56 is connected via cs42l43 there isn't an ACPI node for the
cs35l56 so all properties are under the cs42l43 ACPI node. We're adding
a property as a way for the cs42l43 driver to pass this info in via a
software node.

Static checkers complain that the silicon_uid variable passed by
pointer to cs35l56_read_silicon_uid() could later be used
uninitialised when calling cs_amp_get_efi_calibration_data().

cs35l56_read_silicon_uid() must have succeeded to call
cs_amp_get_efi_calibration_data() and that would have populated the
variable.

However, initialise the value so we are not haunted by it forevermore.

ASoC: cs35l56: Prevent overwriting firmware ASP config
Only populate the ASP1 config registers in the regmap cache if the
ASP DAI is used. This prevents regcache_sync() from overwriting
these registers with their defaults when the firmware owns
control of these registers.

On a SoundWire system the ASP could be owned by the firmware to
share reference audio with the firmware on other cs35l56. Or it
can be used as a normal codec-codec interface owned by the driver.
The driver must not overwrite the registers if the firmware has
control of them.

The original implementation for this in commit 07f7d6e7a1
("ASoC: cs35l56: Fix for initializing ASP1 mixer registers") was
to still provide defaults for these registers, assuming that if
they were never reconfigured from defaults then regcache_sync()
would not write them out because they are not dirty. Unfortunately
regcache_sync() is not that smart. If the chip has not reset (so
the driver has not called regcache_mark_dirty()) a regcache_sync()
could write out registers that are not dirty.

To avoid accidental overwriting of the ASP registers, they are
removed from the table of defaults and instead are populated with
defaults only if one of the ASP DAI configuration functions is
called. So if the DAI has never been configured, the firmware is
assumed to have ownership of these registers, and the regmap cache
will not contain any entries for them.

ASoC: cs35l56: Fix unintended bus access while resetting amp
Use the new regmap_read_bypassed() so that the regmap can be left
in cache-only mode while it is booting, but the driver can still
read boot-status and chip-id information during this time.

This fixes race conditions where some writes could be issued to the
silicon while it is still rebooting, before the driver has determined
that the boot is complete.

This is typically prevented by putting regmap into cache-only until the
hardware is ready. But this assumes that the driver does not need to
access device registers to determine when it is "ready". For cs35l56
this involves polling a register and the original implementation relied
on having special handlers to block racing callbacks until dsp_work()
is complete. However, some cases were missed, most notably the ASP DAI
functions.

The regmap_read_bypassed() function allows the fix for this to be
simplified to putting regmap into cache-only during the reset. The
initial boot stages (poll HALO_STATE and read the chip ID) are all done
bypassed. Only when the amp is seen to be booted is the cache-only
revoked.

Changes are:
- cs35l56_system_reset() now leaves the regmap in cache-only status.

- cs35l56_wait_for_firmware_boot() polls using regmap_read_bypassed().

- cs35l56_init() revokes cache-only either via cs35l56_hw_init() or
  when firmware has rebooted after a soft reset.

- cs35l56_hw_init() exits cache-only after it has determined that the
  amp has booted.

- cs35l56_sdw_init() doesn't disable cache-only, since this must be
  deferred to cs35l56_init().

- cs35l56_runtime_resume_common() waits for firmware boot before exiting
  cache-only.

These changes cover three situations where the registers are not
accessible:

1) SoundWire first-time enumeration. The regmap is kept in cache-only
   until the chip is fully booted. The original code had to exit
   cache-only to read chip status in cs35l56_init() and cs35l56_hw_init()
   but this is now deferred to after the firmware has rebooted.

   In this case cs35l56_sdw_probe() leaves regmap in cache-only
   (unchanged behaviour) and cs35l56_hw_init() exits cache-only after the
   firmware is booted and the chip identified.

2) Soft reset during first-time initialization. cs35l56_init() calls
   cs35l56_system_reset(), which puts regmap into cache-only.
   On I2C/SPI cs35l56_init() then flows through to call
   cs35l56_wait_for_firmware_boot() and exit cache-only. On SoundWire
   the re-enumeration will enter cs35l56_init() again, which then drops
   down to call cs35l56_wait_for_firmware_boot() and exit cache-only.

3) Soft reset after firmware download. dsp_work() calls
   cs35l56_system_reset(), which puts regmap into cache-only. After this
   the flow is the same as (2).

afd17e6deb ASoC: cs35l56: Add support for CS35L54 and CS35L57
The CS35L54 and CS35L57 are Boosted Smart Amplifiers. The CS35L54 has
I2C/SPI control and I2S/TDM audio. The CS35L57 also has SoundWire
control and audio.

The hardware differences between L54, L56 and L57 do not affect the
driver control interface so they can all be handled by the same driver.

ASoC: cs35l56: Prevent bad sign extension in cs35l56_read_silicon_uid()
Cast u8 values to u32 when using them to build a 32-bit unsigned value
that is then stored in a u64. This avoids the possibility of a bad sign
extension where the u8 is implicitly extended to an int, thus changing it
from an unsigned to a signed value.

Whether this is a real problem is debatable, but it does no harm to
ensure that the u8 are cast to a suitable type for shifting.

ASoC: cs35l56: Must clear HALO_STATE before issuing SYSTEM_RESET
The driver must write 0 to HALO_STATE before sending the SYSTEM_RESET
command to the firmware.

HALO_STATE is in DSP memory, which is preserved across a soft reset.
The SYSTEM_RESET command does not change the value of HALO_STATE.
There is period of time while the CS35L56 is resetting, before the
firmware has started to boot, where a read of HALO_STATE will return
the value it had before the SYSTEM_RESET. If the driver does not
clear HALO_STATE, this would return BOOT_DONE status even though the
firmware has not booted.

ASoC: cs35l56: Remove default from IRQ1_CFG register
The driver never uses the IRQ1_CFG register so there's no need to provide
a default value. It's set as a readable register only for debugging
through the regmap registers file.

A system-specific firmware could overwrite this register with a non-default
value. Therefore the driver can't hardcode what the initial value actually
is. As the register is only for debugging the value can be left unknown
until someone wants to read it through debugfs.

ASoC: cs35l56: Load tunings for the correct speaker models
If the "spk-id-gpios" property is present it points to GPIOs whose
value must be used to select the correct bin file to match the
speakers.

Some manufacturers use multiple sources of speakers, which need
different tunings for best performance. On these models the type of
speaker fitted is indicated by the values of one or more GPIOs. The
number formed by the GPIOs identifies the tuning required.

The speaker ID must be used in combination with the subsystem ID
(either from PCI SSID or cirrus,firmware-uid property), because the
GPIOs can only indicate variants of a specific model.
