Each DBNCS register programs debounce source selection for 16 GPIOs.
The current offset calculation advances the register address every four
GPIOs, so offsets 4-15 and 20-31 end up touching the wrong selector
register.
Advance the DBNCS offset per 16 GPIOs so each line uses the debounce
selector bank that matches the hardware layout.

Pins 136-140 and 142 are currently advertised as having both drive-
strength and slew-rate controls, while pins 141 and 143 expose no slew
control at all.
According to the hardware description, those pins only support slew-rate
configuration. Update the pin flags accordingly so pinconf exposes the
capabilities that the hardware actually implements.

npcmgpio_irq_startup() calls pinctrl_gpio_direction_input(), which may
sleep while taking the pinctrl core mutex. That makes IRQ startup trip
lockdep when CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING is enabled.
Move the direction change into irq_request_resources() and keep startup
limited to the ack and unmask operations that are safe in atomic
context.

A bank may retain pending event status across resets of the GPIO block.
If probe leaves the old state in place, the chained IRQ handler can see
spurious events as soon as the irqchip is registered.
Disable event generation and clear EVST before wiring each GPIO bank

RG2 pins 110-113 and 208-209 do not use the per-bank ODSC bit that the
driver relies on for the rest of the drive-strength handling. Their
strength is encoded in GCR_DSCNT[7:6] and supports four values: 8, 12,
16 and 24mA.
Mark those pins as a dedicated drive-strength class and translate the
pinconf get/set operations to the shared GCR_DSCNT field so the full
hardware range becomes available.

NPCM8xx uses GCR_INTCR4 bits to release the R1, R2 and RMII3
transmit outputs from Hi-Z.
Those bits need to follow the mandatory r1, r2 and rmii3 pin
groups. The R1_OEn, R2_OEn and R3_OEn side groups are optional and
should not be required just to enable RMII transmit outputs.
Program the INTCR4 bits when the corresponding RMII groups are
selected and clear them again when those pins switch back to GPIO or
another shared function.

The bmcuart1 group currently claims BU1_RTS and BU1_CTS in addition
to TXD and RXD. That prevents boards from using the modem-control

Limit bmcuart1 to the TXD/RXD pair and let users opt into BU1_RTS

Each GPIO bank has two 32-bit MFP registers: MFPL covering pins 0-7
at the bank base offset, and MFPH covering pins 8-15 at base offset+4.
ma35_pinctrl_parse_groups() computed the register address without
accounting for this split, so any pin with an index >= 8 within its
bank was written to the wrong register.
Also fix the pin descriptor table in pinctrl-ma35d1.c: switch from
sequential to 16-per-bank pin numbering, add missing PC8-PC11 pins
and their mux options, and remove the duplicate PN10-PN15 entries.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

- Allow pins to be identified/marked as GPIO mode with
a special callback. The pin controller core is now
"aware" if a pin is in GPIO mode if the callback is
implemented in the driver, and can thus be marked
as "strict", i.e. disallowing simultaneous use of a
line as GPIO and another function such as I2C. This
is enabled in the Qualcomm TLMM driver and also
implemeted from day 1 in the new Broadcom STB driver.
- Rename the pin config option PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT to
PIN_CONFIG_LEVEL to better describe what the config is
doing, as well as making it more intuitive what shall
be returned when reading this property.

This generic pin config property is confusingly named so let's
rename it to make things clearer.
There are already drivers in the tree that use PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT
to *read* the value of an output driven pin, which is a big
semantic confusion for the head: are we then reading the
setting of the output or the actual value/level that is put
out on the pin?
We already have PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT_ENABLE that turns on driver
buffers for output, so this can by logical conclusion only
drive the voltage level if it should be any different.
But if we read the pin, are we then reading the *setting* of
the output value or the *actual* value we can see on the
line?
If the pin has not first been set into output mode with
PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT_ENABLE, but is instead in some input mode
or tristate, what will reading this property actually
return?
Reading the current users reading this property it is clear
that what we read is the logical level of the pin as 0 or 1
depending on if it is low or high.
Rename it to PIN_CONFIG_LEVEL so it is crystal clear that
we set or read the voltage level of the pin and nothing else.

struct gpio_chip now has callbacks for setting line values that return
an integer, allowing to indicate failures. Convert the driver to using
them.

As part of a wider cleanup trying to get rid of OF specific APIs, an
incorrect (and partially unrelated) cleanup was introduced.
The goal was to replace a device_for_each_chil_node() loop including an
additional condition inside by a macro doing both the loop and the
check on a single line.
The snippet:
device_for_each_child_node(dev, child)
if (fwnode_property_present(child, "gpio-controller"))
continue;
was replaced by:
for_each_gpiochip_node(dev, child)
which expands into:
device_for_each_child_node(dev, child)
for_each_if(fwnode_property_present(child, "gpio-controller"))
This change is actually doing the opposite of what was initially
expected, breaking the probe of this driver, breaking at the same time
the whole boot of Nuvoton platforms (no more console, the kernel WARN()).
Revert these two changes to roll back to the correct behavior.

Some drivers are using device property APIs along with OF-specific ones.
At the same time few of the latter can be converted to device property
calls. Reduce use of OF-specific APIs in order to bring a bit more consistency
into the drivers.

the equal sign and hence the index is simply ignored, while the

shuffling the entries. Fix this by adding missed equal sign and
reformat a bit for better readability.
