2dddb34dd0 net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: initialize PPE per-tag-layer MTU registers
The PPE enforces output frame size limits via per-tag-layer VLAN_MTU
registers that the driver never initializes. The hardware defaults do
not account for PPPoE overhead, causing the PPE to punt encapsulated
frames back to the CPU instead of forwarding them.

Initialize the registers at PPE start and on MTU changes using the
maximum GMAC MTU. This is a conservative approximation -- the actual
per-PPE requirement depends on egress path, but using the global
maximum ensures the limits are never too small.

976ff48c2a net: ethernet: mtk_ppe: avoid NULL deref when gmac0 is disabled
If the gmac0 is disabled, the precheck for a valid ingress device will
cause a NULL pointer deref and crash the system. This happens because
eth->netdev[0] will be NULL but the code will directly try to access
netdev_ops.

Instead of just checking for the first net_device, it must be checked if
any of the mtk_eth net_devices is matching the netdev_ops of the ingress
device.

9a04d3b2f0 net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: avoid writing to ESW registers on MT7628
The MT7628 has a fixed-link PHY and does not expose MAC control
registers. Writes to these registers only corrupt the ESW VLAN
configuration.

This patch explicitly registers no-op phylink_mac_ops for MT7628, as
after removing the invalid register accesses, the existing
phylink_mac_ops effectively become no-ops.

bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

bde1ae2d52 net: pcs: pcs-mtk-lynxi: pass SGMIISYS OF node to PCS
The Mediatek LynxI PCS is used from the MT7530 DSA driver (where it does
not have an OF presence) and from mtk_eth_soc, where it does
(Documentation/devicetree/bindings/net/pcs/mediatek,sgmiisys.yaml
informs of a combined clock provider + SGMII PCS "SGMIISYS" syscon
block).

Currently, mtk_eth_soc parses the SGMIISYS OF node for the
"mediatek, pnswap" property and sets a bit in the "flags" argument of
mtk_pcs_lynxi_create() if set.

I'd like to deprecate "mediatek, pnswap" in favour of a property which
takes the current phy-mode into consideration. But this is only known at
mtk_pcs_lynxi_config() time, and not known at mtk_pcs_lynxi_create(),
when the SGMIISYS OF node is parsed.

To achieve that, we must pass the OF node of the PCS, if it exists, to
mtk_pcs_lynxi_create(), and let the PCS take a reference on it and
handle property parsing whenever it wants.

Use the fwnode API which is more general than OF (in case we ever need
to describe the PCS using some other format). This API should be NULL
tolerant, so add no particular tests for the mt7530 case.

88d3cec282 net: s/dev_close_many/netif_close_many/
Commit cc34acd577 ("docs: net: document new locking reality")
introduced netif_ vs dev_ function semantics: the former expects locked
netdev, the latter takes care of the locking. We don't strictly
follow this semantics on either side, but there are more dev_xxx handlers
now that don't fit. Rename them to netif_xxx where appropriate.

netif_close_many is used only by vlan/dsa and one mtk driver, so move it into
NETDEV_INTERNAL namespace.

Use the newly added of_reserved_mem_region_to_resource{_byname}()
functions to handle "memory-region" properties.

The error handling is a bit different for mtk_wed_mcu_load_firmware().
A failed match of the "memory-region-names" would skip the entry, but
then other errors in the lookup and retrieval of the address would not
skip the entry. However, that distinction is not really important.
Either the region is available and usable or it is not. So now, errors
from of_reserved_mem_region_to_resource() are ignored so the region is
simply skipped.

51cf06ddaf net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: add support for MT7988 internal 2.5G PHY
The MediaTek MT7988 SoC comes with an single built-in Ethernet PHY for
2500Base-T/1000Base-T/100Base-TX/10Base-T link partners in addition to
the built-in 1GE switch. The built-in PHY only supports full duplex.

Add muxes allowing to select GMAC2->2.5G PHY path and add basic support
for XGMAC as the built-in 2.5G PHY is internally connected via XGMII.
The XGMAC features will also be used by 5GBase-R, 10GBase-R and USXGMII
SerDes modes which are going to be added once support for standalone PCS
drivers is in place.

In order to make use of the built-in 2.5G PHY the appropriate PHY driver
as well as (proprietary) PHY firmware has to be present as well.

ffb0c5c4cf net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: convert cap_bit in mtk_eth_muxc struct to u64
With commit 51a4df60db ("net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: convert caps in
mtk_soc_data struct to u64") the capabilities bitfield was converted to
a 64-bit value, but a cap_bit in struct mtk_eth_muxc which is used to
store a full bitfield (rather than the bit number, as the name would
suggest) still holds only a 32-bit value.

Change the type of cap_bit to u64 in order to avoid truncating the
bitfield which results in path selection to not work with capabilities
above the 32-bit limit.

The values currently stored in the cap_bit field are
MTK_ETH_MUX_GDM1_TO_GMAC1_ESW:
 BIT_ULL(18) | BIT_ULL(5)

MTK_ETH_MUX_GMAC2_GMAC0_TO_GEPHY:
 BIT_ULL(19) | BIT_ULL(5) | BIT_ULL(6)

MTK_ETH_MUX_U3_GMAC2_TO_QPHY:
 BIT_ULL(20) | BIT_ULL(5) | BIT_ULL(6)

MTK_ETH_MUX_GMAC1_GMAC2_TO_SGMII_RGMII:
 BIT_ULL(20) | BIT_ULL(5) | BIT_ULL(7)

MTK_ETH_MUX_GMAC12_TO_GEPHY_SGMII:
 BIT_ULL(21) | BIT_ULL(5)

While all those values are currently still within 32-bit boundaries,
the addition of new capabilities of MT7988 as well as future SoC's
like MT7987 will exceed them. Also, the use of a 32-bit 'int' type to
store the result of a BIT_ULL(...) is misleading.
