the waiting path of injected messages: message_poll will cause the system

synchronous part of the async command.

Transport devices are currently being unintentionally matched to
drivers with the same name, allowing their probe function to be
invoked. However, the bus notifier prevents them from setting up
handles, rendering them unable to utilize SCMI core functionality.
Instead of relying on the bus notifier which can't prevent bus matching
even if it returns early or error, move the check into the bus matching
logic itself. This change ensures that transport devices are entirely
excluded from driver matching, preventing any unintended probe attempts.

With the decoupling of transport drivers from the SCMI core, the
"arm-scmi" platform device is now created dynamically from the probed
transport driver.
Currently, this "arm-scmi" platform device is added to the root of
the platform bus since no parent is assigned. However, the transport
platform device, created from the "firmware:scmi" node in the device
tree, should be considered its parent.
Ensure that the parent device is correctly set for the "arm-scmi"
platform device, aligning it with the correct transport hierarchy.
This will be more useful on systems with multiple transport and/or
SCMI firmware instances as the hierarchy is maintained correctly.

Refactors the error logging related to SCMI device creation. The goal
is to remove duplicated error-handling code and centralize it into a
single helper function: _scmi_device_create().
By doing so, any code redundancy around error logging is avoided, as
error logging during device creation will now be handled by a unified
helper function.

Currently, the device matching logic is duplicated in two functions:
- scmi_dev_match() used by the scmi_bus to match scmi_devices with
scmi_drivers.
- scmi_child_dev_find() used to check for the presence of a device
with the same name and protocol_id to avoid adding duplicates to
the bus.
Refactor the code to eliminate the redundant matching logic and
consolidates the functionality for better maintainability and efficiency.

Currently, devices without a name in the id_table cannot register drivers,
and no scmi_device is created without a name via scmi_device_create().
However, the function __scmi_device_create() allows devices with no name,
which are then labeled as "unknown."
Removes support for matching scmi_device instances without a name,
ensuring consistency across the driver registration and probing process.

Polling mode transactions wait for a reply busy-looping without holding a
spinlock, but currently the timeout checks are based only on elapsed time:
as a result we could hit a false positive whenever our busy-looping thread
is pre-empted and scheduled out for a time greater than the polling
timeout.
Change the checks at the end of the busy-loop to make sure that the polling
wasn't indeed successful or an out-of-order reply caused the polling to be
forcibly terminated.

Using device_find_child() to lookup the proper SCMI device to destroy
causes an unbalance in device refcount, since device_find_child() calls an
implicit get_device(): this, in turns, inhibits the call of the provided
release methods upon devices destruction.
As a consequence, one of the structures that is not freed properly upon
destruction is the internal struct device_private dev->p populated by the
drivers subsystem core.
KMemleak detects this situation since loading/unloding some SCMI driver
causes related devices to be created/destroyed without calling any
device_release method.

Here is the big set of driver core and debugfs updates for 6.14-rc1.
It's coming late in the merge cycle as there are a number of merge
conflicts with your tree now, and I wanted to make sure they were
working properly. To resolve them, look in linux-next, and I will send
the "fixup" patch as a response to the pull request.
Included in here is a bunch of driver core, PCI, OF, and platform rust
bindings (all acked by the different subsystem maintainers), hence the
merge conflict with the rust tree, and some driver core api updates to
mark things as const, which will also require some fixups due to new
stuff coming in through other trees in this merge window.
There are also a bunch of debugfs updates from Al, and there is at least
one user that does have a regression with these, but Al is working on
tracking down the fix for it. In my use (and everyone else's linux-next
use), it does not seem like a big issue at the moment.
Here's a short list of the things in here:
- driver core bindings for PCI, platform, OF, and some i/o functions.
We are almost at the "write a real driver in rust" stage now,
depending on what you want to do.
- misc device rust bindings and a sample driver to show how to use
them
- debugfs cleanups in the fs as well as the users of the fs api for
places where drivers got it wrong or were unnecessarily doing things
in complex ways.
- driver core const work, making more of the api take const * for
different parameters to make the rust bindings easier overall.
- other small fixes and updates
All of these have been in linux-next with all of the aforementioned
merge conflicts, and the one debugfs issue, which looks to be resolved
"soon".

struct device *device_find_child(struct device *dev, void *data,
int (*match)(struct device *dev, void *data));
To :
struct device *device_find_child(struct device *dev, const void *data,
device_match_t match);
typedef int (*device_match_t)(struct device *dev, const void *data);
with the following reasons:
- Protect caller's match data @*data which is for comparison and lookup
and the API does not actually need to modify @*data.
- Make the API's parameters (@match)() and @data have the same type as
all of other device finding APIs (bus|class|driver)_find_device().
- All kinds of existing device match functions can be directly taken
as the API's argument, they were exported by driver core.
Constify the API and adapt for various existing usages.
BTW, various subsystem changes are squashed into this commit to meet
'git bisect' requirement, and this commit has the minimal and simplest
changes to complement squashing shortcoming, and that may bring extra
code improvement.

SCMI transports when built as loadable modules should be loaded by the
subsystem they plug into, based on the related subsystem specific aliases.
Add, where missing, the MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() directives needed to generate

Using the pattern 'scmi-protocol-0x<PROTO_ID>-<VEND_ID>' as MODULE_ALIAS
allows the SCMI core to autoload this protocol, if built as a module, when
its protocol operations are requested by an SCMI driver.

SCMI vendor protocols namespace is shared amongst all vendors so that there
can be multiple implementation for the same protocol ID by different
vendors, exposing completely different functionalities and used by distinct
SCMI vendor drivers.
For these reasons, at runtime, when some driver asks for a protocol, the
proper implementation to use is chosen based on the SCMI vendor/subvendor/
impl_version data as advertised by the platform SCMI server and gathered
from the SCMI core during stack initialization: this enables proper runtime
selection of vendor protocols even when many different protocols from
different vendors are built into the same image via a common defconfig.
This same selection mechanism works similarly well even when all the vendor
protocols are compiled as loadable modules, as long as all such required
protocol modules have been previously loaded by some other means.
Add support for the automatic loading of vendor protocol modules, based on
protocol/vendor IDs, when an SCMI driver attempts to use such a protocol.

The newly added SCMI vendor driver references functions in the
protocol driver but needs a Kconfig dependency to ensure it can link,
essentially the Kconfig dependency needs to be reversed to match the
link time dependency:
| arm-linux-gnueabi-ld: sound/soc/fsl/fsl_mqs.o: in function `fsl_mqs_sm_write':
| fsl_mqs.c:(.text+0x1aa): undefined reference to `scmi_imx_misc_ctrl_set'
| arm-linux-gnueabi-ld: sound/soc/fsl/fsl_mqs.o: in function `fsl_mqs_sm_read':
| fsl_mqs.c:(.text+0x1ee): undefined reference to `scmi_imx_misc_ctrl_get'
This however only works after changing the dependency in the SND_SOC_FSL_MQS
driver as well, which uses 'select IMX_SCMI_MISC_DRV' to turn on a
driver it depends on. This is generally a bad idea, so the best solution
is to change that into a dependency.
To allow the ASoC driver to keep building with the SCMI support, this
needs to be an optional dependency that enforces the link-time
dependency if IMX_SCMI_MISC_DRV is a loadable module but not
depend on it if that is disabled.

Here is the "big and hairy" char/misc/iio and other small driver
subsystem updates for 6.13-rc1. Sorry for doing this at the end of the
merge window, conference and holiday travel got in the way on my side
(hence the 5am pull request emails...)
Loads of things in here, and even a fun merge conflict!
- rust misc driver bindings and other rust changes to make misc
drivers actually possible. I think this is the tipping point,
expect to see way more rust drivers going forward now that these
bindings are present. Next merge window hopefully we will have pci
and platform drivers working, which will fully enable almost all
driver subsystems to start accepting (or at least getting) rust
drivers. This is the end result of a lot of work from a lot of
people, congrats to all of them for getting this far, you've proved
many of us wrong in the best way possible, working code :)
- IIO driver updates, too many to list individually, that subsystem
keeps growing and growing...
- Interconnect driver updates
- nvmem driver updates
- pwm driver updates
- platform_driver::remove() fixups, loads of them
- counter driver updates
- misc driver updates (keba?)
- binder driver updates and fixes
- loads of other small char/misc/etc driver updates and additions,
full details in the shortlog.
Note, there is a semi-hairy rust merge conflict when pulling this. The
resolution has been in linux-next for a while and can be seen here:
https://lore.kernel.org/all/20241111173459.2646d4af@canb.auug.org.au/
All of these have been in linux-next for a while, with no other reported
issues other than that merge conflict.

Just couple of main additions:
1. Support for variable I/O width within ARM SCMI shared memory area.
Some shared memory areas might only support a certain access width,
such as 32-bit, which memcpy_{from,to}_io() does not adhere to at least
on ARM64 by making both 8-bit and 64-bit accesses to such memory.
This support updates the shmem layer to support reading from and
writing to such shared memory area using the specified I/O width
in the Device Tree. The various transport layers making use of the
shmem.c code are updated accordingly to pass the I/O accessors that
they store. The device tree bindings are also updated for the same.
2. Extension of SCMI transport bindings to add more properties
SCMI transports are characterized by a number of properties. The
values assumed by some of them tightly depend on the choices taken at
design time and on the overall archiecture of the specific platform:
things like timeouts, maximum message size and number of in-flight
messages are closely tied to the architecture of the platform like
number of SCMI agents on the system, physical memory available to the
SCMI platform and so on. Such details are not discoverable as they are
outside the scope of the SCMI protocol specification.
Currently such properties are simple default values defined at build
time, but the increasing number and variety of platforms using SCMI
with a wide range of designs has increased the need to have a way to
describe such properties across all these platforms.
Apart from the above two, there is one NULL pointer dereference fix for
very age old SCPI protocol driver which seems to be still in use on few
platforms.

Arm SCMI updates for v6.13
Apart from the above two, there is one NULL pointer dereference fix for
very age old SCPI protocol driver which seems to be still in use on few
platforms.

After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/firmware to use .remove(),
with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

Couple of fixes to address the issues found and reported on Broadcom
STB platforms following the recent refactor of all the SCMI transports
as standalone drivers.
One of the issue is that the effective timeout value is much less than
the intended value due to the way mailbox messages are queues in the
mailbox framework. Since we block or serialise the shmem access anyway,
there is no point in utilizing mailbox queues. The issue is fixed with
exclusive lock on the channel when sending the message.
The other issues is actually non-issue for upstream, but the workaround
is just changing the link order of the transport drivers which enables
Broadcom STB platforms to run both upstream and custom downstream kernel
without any device tree changes. So pushing this to help them test upstream

send_message() does not block in the MBOX implementation. This is
because the mailbox layer has its own queue. However, this confuses
the per xfer timeouts as they all start their timeout ticks in
parallel.
Consider a case where the xfer timeout is 30ms and a SCMI transaction
takes 25ms:
| 0ms: Message #0 is queued in mailbox layer and sent out, then sits
| at scmi_wait_for_message_response() with a timeout of 30ms
| 1ms: Message #1 is queued in mailbox layer but not sent out yet.
| Since send_message() doesn't block, it also sits at
| scmi_wait_for_message_response() with a timeout of 30ms
| ...
| 25ms: Message #0 is completed, txdone is called and message #1 is sent
| 31ms: Message #1 times out since the count started at 1ms. Even though
| it has only been inflight for 6ms.

Broadcom STB platforms have for historical reasons included both
"arm,scmi-smc" and "arm, scmi" in their SCMI Device Tree node compatible
string, in that order.
After the commit b53515fa17 ("firmware: arm_scmi: Make MBOX transport
a standalone driver") and with a kernel configuration that enables both
the SMC and the mailbox transports, we would probe the mailbox transport,
but fail to complete since we would not have a mailbox driver available.
With each SCMI transport being a platform driver with its own set of
compatible strings to match, rather than an unique platform driver entry
point, we no longer match from most specific to least specific. There is
also no simple way for the mailbox driver to return -ENODEV and let
another platform driver attempt probing. This leads to a platform with
no SCMI provider, therefore all drivers depending upon SCMI resources
are put on deferred probe forever.
By keeping the SMC transport objects linked first, we can let the
platform driver match the compatible string and probe successfully with
no adverse effects on platforms using the mailbox transport.
This is just the workaround to the issue observed which doesn't have any
impact on the other platforms.

The goal is simplify of_node reference cleanup by using this scope-based

This cleanup aligns well with the recent change in shmem.c to use __free

The descriptor structure scmi_desc contains a variety of fields related to
the transport functionalities and it is defined by the transport drivers
themselves; such elements, though, serve varied purposes and have different
lifetime.
In particular, while there are some of those elements that provide a
description of transport features that are supposed to be immutable, on
the other side there are present also some other characteristics that are
instead supposed to be configurable on a per-platform base since they
represent configuration features tied to the specific hardware/firmware

Here is the big set of driver core changes for 6.11-rc1.
Lots of stuff in here, with not a huge diffstat, but apis are evolving
which required lots of files to be touched. Highlights of the changes
in here are:
- platform remove callback api final fixups (Uwe took many releases to
get here, finally!)
- Rust bindings for basic firmware apis and initial driver-core
interactions. It's not all that useful for a "write a whole driver
in rust" type of thing, but the firmware bindings do help out the
phy rust drivers, and the driver core bindings give a solid base on
which others can start their work. There is still a long way to go
here before we have a multitude of rust drivers being added, but
it's a great first step.
- driver core const api changes. This reached across all bus types,
and there are some fix-ups for some not-common bus types that
linux-next and 0-day testing shook out. This work is being done to
help make the rust bindings more safe, as well as the C code, moving
toward the end-goal of allowing us to put driver structures into
read-only memory. We aren't there yet, but are getting closer.
- minor devres cleanups and fixes found by code inspection
- arch_topology minor changes
- other minor driver core cleanups
All of these have been in linux-next for a very long time with no
reported problems.

In the match() callback, the struct device_driver * should not be
changed, so change the function callback to be a const *. This is one
step of many towards making the driver core safe to have struct
device_driver in read-only memory.
Because the match() callback is in all busses, all busses are modified
to handle this properly. This does entail switching some container_of()
calls to container_of_const() to properly handle the constant *.
For some busses, like PCI and USB and HV, the const * is cast away in
the match callback as those busses do want to modify those structures at
this point in time (they have a local lock in the driver structure.)
That will have to be changed in the future if they wish to have their
struct device * in read-only-memory.

On some systems the SCMI platform to agent(p2a) communication can be fully
interrupt driven. The notification(p2a) channel needs completion interrupt
to drive its notification queue at the platform. Without it, the platform
notification will not work as the platform will wait for agent indication
of clearing the channel via interrupt unlike few platforms which can poll
instead.
To support such systems, an optional unidirectional mailbox channel for
p2a reply communication. If the platform sets channel INTR flag set
indicating that it expects the agent to trigger the interrupt to acknowledge
the reciept of the notification or any p2a message, and the completion
interrupt channel is provided, send a mailbox message to the platform
after the p2a message is read and channel is freed to accept new
notifications or p2a messages.

there is no way to pass suspend level to pm_suspend() call from this

1) The userspace can still configure whatever default behaviour expected

"As usual, these are updates for drivers that are specific to certain
SoCs or firmware running on them.
Notable updates include
- The new STMicroelectronics STM32 "firewall" bus driver that is used
to provide a barrier between different parts of an SoC
- Lots of updates for the Qualcomm platform drivers, in particular
SCM, which gets a rewrite of its initialization code
- Firmware driver updates for Arm FF-A notification interrupts and
indirect messaging, SCMI firmware support for pin control and
vendor specific interfaces, and TEE firmware interface changes
across multiple TEE drivers
- A larger cleanup of the Mediatek CMDQ driver and some related bits
- Kconfig changes for riscv drivers to prepare for adding Kanaan k230
support
- Multiple minor updates for the TI sysc bus driver, memory
controllers, hisilicon hccs and more"

When the agent is sending data to the SCMI platform, the drivers in the

Add a mechanism to be able to tag vendor protocol modules at compile-time
with a vendor/sub_vendor string and an implementation version and then to
choose to load, at run-time, only those vendor protocol modules matching
as close as possible the vendor/subvendor identification advertised by
the SCMI platform server.
In this way, any in-tree existent vendor protocol module can be build and
shipped by default in a single kernel image, even when using the same
clashing protocol identification numbers, since the SCMI core will take
care at run-time to load only the ones pertinent to the running system.

Unregistering SCMI notifications using the managed devres interface can be
done providing as a reference simply the previously successfully registered
notification block since it could have been registered only on one kernel
notification_chain: drop any reference to SCMI protocol, events and
sources.
Devres internal helpers can search for the provided notification block
reference and, once found, the associated devres object will already
provide the above SCMI references for the event.

Pull power management updates from Rafael Wysocki:
"From the functional perspective, the most significant change here is
the addition of support for Energy Models that can be updated
dynamically at run time.
There is also the addition of LZ4 compression support for hibernation,
the new preferred core support in amd-pstate, new platforms support in
the Intel RAPL driver, new model-specific EPP handling in intel_pstate
and more.
Apart from that, the cpufreq default transition delay is reduced from
10 ms to 2 ms (along with some related adjustments), the system
suspend statistics code undergoes a significant rework and there is a
usual bunch of fixes and code cleanups all over.

- Add support for LZ4 compression algorithm to the hibernation image

SCMI v3.2 added support to set/get clock custom OEM types; such support is
conditionally present, though, depending on an extended config attribute
bit possibly advertised by the platform server on a per-domain base.
Add a check to verify if OEM types are supported before allowing any kind
of OEM-specific get/set operation. Also add a check around all the new
v3.2 clock features.

Freshly introduced NEGOTIATE_PROTOCOL_VERSION allows the agent to ascertain
upfront if a specific protocol(usually older) version is supported by the
platform.
It is used by the agent in case the platform has advertised the support of
a newer protocol version than the latest version supported by the agent,
since backward compatibility cannot be automatically assumed.
Emit a warning about possible incompatibility when negotiation was not
possible or just print the successfully negotiated protocol.

This was found when a transport doesn't really work (for instance no SMC

ARM SCMI v3.2 introduces clock get permission command. To implement the
same let us stash the values of those permissions in the scmi_clock_info.
They indicate if the operation is forbidden or not.
If the CLOCK_GET_PERMISSIONS command is not supported, the default
permissions are set to allow the operations, otherwise they will be set
according to the response of CLOCK_GET_PERMISSIONS from the SCMI
platform firmware.

When (sustained_freq_khz * 1000) is less than sustained_perf_level, the
multiplier will be less than 1 and hence rounded down as 0. Similarly if
it is not multiple of sustained_perf_level the dom_info->mult_factor will
contain rounded down value and will end up impacting all the frequency
calculations done using it.
Add warning if and when the domain frequency multiplier is 0 or rounded
down so that it gives a clue to get the firmware tables fixed.

On reception of a completion interrupt the shared memory area is accessed
to retrieve the message header at first and then, if the message sequence
number identifies a transaction which is still pending, the related
payload is fetched too.
When an SCMI command times out the channel ownership remains with the
platform until eventually a late reply is received and, as a consequence,
any further transmission attempt remains pending, waiting for the channel
to be relinquished by the platform.
Once that late reply is received the channel ownership is given back
to the agent and any pending request is then allowed to proceed and
overwrite the SMT area of the just delivered late reply; then the wait
for the reply to the new request starts.
It has been observed that the spurious IRQ related to the late reply can
be wrongly associated with the freshly enqueued request: when that happens
the SCMI stack in-flight lookup procedure is fooled by the fact that the
message header now present in the SMT area is related to the new pending
transaction, even though the real reply has still to arrive.
This race-condition on the A2P channel can be detected by looking at the
channel status bits: a genuine reply from the platform will have set the
channel free bit before triggering the completion IRQ.
Add a consistency check to validate such condition in the A2P ISR.

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

Few minor updates:
1. Addition of protocol versioning checks to warn if the firmware version
is newer or greater than the version supported by the kernel driver
2. Increment of the maximum OPP count in the perf protocol from 16 to 32
as needed by a few recent/future qualcomm platforms
3. Optimisation of set performance operations by returning error
immediately and avoiding to send the command to the platform(which
would return error eventually) if the domain doesn't support perf
operations. Similarly, the fastchannel handling is also optimised by
avoiding to initialise the corresponding set operations fastchannels.
4. Extension of extended names helper to accomodate recently added new

The multiplier is already promoted to unsigned long, however the
frequency calculations done when using level indexing mode doesn't
use the multiplier computed. It instead hardcodes the multiplier
value of 1000 at all the usage sites.
Clean that up by assigning the multiplier value of 1000 when using
the perf level indexing mode and update the frequency calculations to
use the multiplier instead. It should fix the possible frequency
truncation for all the values greater than or equal to 4GHz on 64-bit

Platform and agent supported protocols versions do not necessarily match.
When talking to an older SCMI platform, supporting only older protocol
versions, the kernel SCMI agent will downgrade the version of the used
protocol to match the platform and avoid compatibility issues.
In the case where the kernel/OSPM agent happens to communicate with a
newer platform which can support newer protocol versions unknown to
the agent, and potentially backward incompatible, the agent currently
carries on, silently, in a best-effort approach.
Note that the SCMI specification doesn't provide means to explicitly
detect the protocol versions used by the agents, neither it is required
to support multiple, older, protocol versions.
Add an explicit protocol version check to let the agent detect when this
version mismatch happens and warn the user about this condition.

Certain SCMI performance domains may have restrictions on the set level
and/or limits operation. If the SCMI domain supports fastchannel and the
set operations are not allowed, then any attempts to fetch the fastchannel
information for set level and/or limits operation will result in the
SCMI platform returning SCMI_ERR_SUPPORT. However, since this information
about the domain is already known to the agent(OSPM here) obtained via
PERF_DOMAIN_ATTRIBUTES, the agent(OSPM) can avoid calls to the firmware
trying to fetch the fastchannel information for the same.
Add those checks and skip querying the fastchannel information from the
firmware based on the information collected during the domain enumeration

Main additions this time include:
1. SCMI v3.2 clock configuration support:
This helps to retrieve the enabled state of a clock as well as allow
to set OEM specific clock configurations.
2. Support for generic performance scaling(DVFS):
The current SCMI DVFS support is limited to the CPUs in the kernel.
This extension enables it to used for all kind of devices and not
only for the CPUs. It updates the SCMI cpufreq to utilize the power
domain bindings. It also adds a more generic SCMI performance domain
based on the genpd framework that as be used for all the non-CPU
devices.
3. Extend the generic performance scaling(DVFS) support for firmware
driver OPPs:
Consumer drivers for devices that are attached to the SCMI performance
domain can't make use of the current OPP library to scale performance
as the OPPs are firmware driven and often obtained from the firmware
rather than the device tree. These changes extend the generic OPP
and genpd PM domain frameworks to identify and utilise these firmware
driven OPPs.
4. SCMI v3.2 clock parent support:
This enables the support for discovering and changing parent clocks
and extending the SCMI clk driver to use the same.
5. Qualcom SMC/HVC transport support:
The Qualcomm virtual platforms require capability id in the hypervisor
call to identify which doorbell to assert when supporting multiple
SMC/HVC based SCMI transport channels. Extra parameter is added to
support the same and the same is obtained at the fixed address in the
shared memory which is initialised by the firmware.
6. Move the existing SCMI power domain driver under drivers/pmdomain
Apart from the above main changes, it also include couple of minor fixes
and cosmetic reworks.

Arm SCMI updates for v6.7

This change adds the support for SCMI message exchange on Qualcomm
virtual platforms.
The hypervisor associates an object-id also known as capability-id
with each smc/hvc doorbell object. The capability-id is used to
identify the doorbell from the VM's capability namespace, similar
to a file-descriptor.
The hypervisor, in addition to the function-id, expects the capability-id
to be passed in x1 register when SMC/HVC call is invoked.
The capability-id is allocated by the hypervisor on bootup and is stored in
the shmem region by the firmware before starting Linux.

All the parameters to arm_smccc_1_1_invoke() are unsigned long which
aligns well on both 32-bit and 64-bit Arm based platforms. Let us store
all the members in the structure scmi_smc used as the parameters to the
arm_smccc_1_1_invoke() call as unsigned long.

To enable the performance level to be used for OPPs, let's convert into
using the dev_pm_opp_add_dynamic() API when creating them. This will be
particularly useful for the SCMI performance domain, as shown through
subsequent changes.
