4627ef7019 crypto: qat - handle sysfs-triggered reset callbacks
A reset requested through /sys/bus/pci/devices/.../reset invokes the
driver reset_prepare() and reset_done() callbacks. The QAT driver does
not implement those callbacks today, so the reset proceeds without
quiescing the device or bringing it back up afterward, which leaves
the device unusable.

Hook reset_prepare() and reset_done() into adf_err_handler so the
common shutdown and recovery flow also runs for reset. Skip device
quiesce if the device is already in a down state.

56707afb92 crypto: qat - factor out AER reset helpers
Move the shutdown and recovery sequences out of adf_error_detected()

This makes the AER recovery path easier to follow and prepares the

duplicating the logic.

9676657117 crypto: qat - skip restart for down devices
Skip the shutdown and restart flow when adf_slot_reset() is entered
for a device that is already down. In that case, leave
ADF_STATUS_RESTARTING clear and let adf_slot_reset() restore PCI
function state without calling adf_dev_up(), re-enabling SR-IOV, or
sending restarted notifications.

This is in preparation for adding reset_prepare() and reset_done()

e5712ff829 crypto: qat - centralize bus master enable
QAT driver currently toggles PCI bus mastering in multiple places
(probe paths, and reset callbacks). This makes BME state depend on
call ordering and on what PCI command bits were captured in saved PCI
config state.

Make BME control explicit and deterministic:
- remove pci_set_master() from device-specific probe paths
- add adf_set_bme() and call it from adf_dev_init() so BME is enabled
at one point before device bring-up
- drop redundant pci_set_master() and pci_clear_master from adf_aer.c
and rely on the unified init path for BME enablement

This is in preparation for adding reset_prepare() and reset_done()
hooks. In the PCI reset callback flow, the PCI core saves and
restores device configuration state around reset_prepare() and
reset_done(). This change is needed to ensure that we are able to
properly shutdown or reinitialize the device post sysfs triggered
resets.

5751850005 crypto: qat - keep VFs enabled during reset
When a reset is triggered via sysfs, the PCI core invokes the
reset_prepare() callback while holding pci_dev_lock(), which includes
the PCI configuration space access semaphore. If reset_prepare() calls
adf_dev_down(), the call chain adf_dev_stop() -> adf_disable_sriov()
-> pci_disable_sriov() attempts to acquire the same semaphore,
resulting in a deadlock.

Avoid this by skipping pci_disable_sriov() when ADF_STATUS_RESTARTING
is set. During reset the PCI topology is preserved, so VF devices
remain valid and enumerated across the reset. VF notification and the
quiesce handshake via adf_pf2vf_notify_restarting() are still
performed unconditionally so that VFs stop submitting work before the
PF shuts down.

Correspondingly, skip pci_enable_sriov() in adf_enable_sriov() when
VFs are already present, since their PCI devices were preserved from
before the restart.

This is in preparation for adding reset_prepare() and reset_done()
callbacks in adf_aer.c.

277281c10c crypto: qat - fix VF2PF work teardown race in adf_disable_sriov()
The VF2PF interrupt handler queues PF-side response work that stores a
raw pointer to per-VF state (struct adf_accel_vf_info). Currently,
adf_disable_sriov() destroys per-VF mutexes and frees vf_info without
stopping new VF2PF work or waiting for in-flight workers to complete. A
concurrently scheduled or already queued worker can then dereference
freed memory.

This manifests as a use-after-free when KASAN is enabled:

  BUG: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in mutex_lock+0x76/0xe0
Write of size 8 at addr 0000000000000260 by task kworker/24:2/...

Add a PF-local flag, vf2pf_disabled, that gates work queueing, worker
processing, and interrupt re-enabling during teardown. Set this flag
atomically with the hardware interrupt mask inside
adf_disable_all_vf2pf_interrupts(). After masking, synchronize the AE
cluster MSI-X interrupt and flush the PF response workqueue before
tearing down per-VF locks and state so all in-flight work completes
before vf_info is destroyed.

Introduce adf_enable_all_vf2pf_interrupts() to clear the flag and
unmask all VF2PF interrupts under the same lock when SR-IOV is
re-enabled. This ensures the software flag and hardware state transition
atomically on both the enable and disable paths.

d237230728 crypto: qat - remove unused character device and IOCTLs
The QAT driver exposes a character device (qat_adf_ctl) with IOCTLs
for device configuration, start, stop, status query and enumeration.
These IOCTLs are not part of any public uAPI header and have no known
in-tree or out-of-tree users. Device lifecycle is already managed via
sysfs.

The ioctl interface also increases the attack surface and is the
subject of a number of bug reports.

Remove the character device, the IOCTL definitions, and the related
data structures (adf_dev_status_info, adf_user_cfg_key_val,
adf_user_cfg_section, adf_user_cfg_ctl_data). Drop the now-unused
adf_cfg_user.h header and strip adf_ctl_drv.c down to the minimal
module_init/module_exit hooks for workqueue, AER, and crypto/compression
algorithm registration.

Clean up leftover dead code that was only reachable from the removed
IOCTL paths: adf_cfg_del_all(), adf_devmgr_verify_id(),
adf_devmgr_get_num_dev(), adf_devmgr_get_dev_by_id(),
adf_get_vf_real_id() and the unused ADF_CFG macros.

Additionally, drop the entry associated to QAT IOCTLs in
ioctl-number.rst.

6d827ade51 crypto: amlogic - avoid double cleanup in meson_crypto_probe()
When meson_allocate_chanlist() fails after a partial allocation, it already
unwinds the allocated chanlist state through its local error path.
meson_crypto_probe() then jump to error_flow and calls
meson_free_chanlist() again, causing the same per-flow resources to be torn
down twice. In the reproduced failure path, the second teardown
re-entered crypto_engine_exit() on an already destroyed worker and KASAN
reported a slab-use-after-free in kthread_destroy_worker().

Prevent double-free by handling partial allocation failures locally within
meson_allocate_chanlist() and skipping the outer cleanup path.

The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are
developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing
v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly
available.

The bug was reproduced in a QEMU x86_64 guest booted with KASAN on v7.1,
using the reproducer under tools/testing/meson_crypto_probe. The reproducer
forces the second dma_alloc_attrs() call in the gxl-crypto probe path to
return NULL, making meson_allocate_chanlist() fail after partial
initialization. On the unpatched kernel this reliably triggered a
slab-use-after-free. With this fix applied, the same reproducer no longer
emits any KASAN report and the probe fails cleanly with -ENOMEM.

The problem described in commit 655ef638a2 ("crypto: talitos - fix

but with a limitation of 64k - 1 bytes.

Split ahash_done() into SEC1 and SEC2 paths: SEC1 continues to free the
whole descriptor list at once, while SEC2 now iterates through
descriptors one by one, submitting the next only after the previous
completes, which is required since SEC2 cannot chain descriptors in
hardware.

f1ede6d95d crypto: talitos/hash - use descriptor chaining for SEC1 instead of workqueue
Rework the SEC1 ahash implementation to build a chain of hardware
descriptors, replacing the previous approach of submitting one
descriptor at a time via a workqueue, introduced by commit 655ef638a2
("crypto: talitos - fix SEC1 32k ahash request limitation").

Introduce ahash_process_req_prepare() which iterates over the request
data, allocating enough descriptors to cover the entire ahash request.
The new fields (bufsl, src, first, last) are added to talitos_edesc for
this purpose.

common_nonsnoop_hash() no longer calls talitos_submit(); it only
maps and sets up the descriptor. Submission is now done by the caller
after the chain is built.

ahash_free_desc_list_from() takes over calling
common_nonsnoop_hash_unmap() for each descriptor during cleanup.

Compared to the workqueue based solution, request are slightly faster
since there is no more scheduling latency induced by the workqueue, and
only one interrupt is generated by the device at the end of a chain.

Commit 655ef638a2 ("crypto: talitos - fix SEC1 32k ahash request
limitation") :

59b5d899e3 crypto: talitos/hash - prepare SEC1 descriptor chaining, remove additional descriptor
Currently, when SEC1 has buffered data (nbuf != 0), the ahash code
creates an additional descriptor on the fly inside
common_nonsnoop_hash() to handle the remainder of the data. This
approach is incompatible with the arbitrary-length descriptor chaining
that follows.

Remove the "additional descriptor" logic from common_nonsnoop_hash()
and common_nonsnoop_hash_unmap().

Also remove the nbytes adjustment for SEC1 in ahash_edesc_alloc()
that subtracted nbuf.

dsm_create() initially checks pdev->bus when computing segment_id:

But the next two lines unconditionally dereference pdev->bus via
pcie_find_root_port() and especially pci_dev_id(pdev), which expands
to PCI_DEVID(dev->bus->number, dev->devfn). If pdev->bus is in fact
NULL, segment_id is initialised to 0 but the very next statement
crashes the kernel.

smatch flags this:

  drivers/crypto/ccp/sev-dev-tsm.c:253 dsm_create() error: we
previously assumed 'pdev->bus' could be null (see line 251)

Make the NULL handling consistent: if pdev->bus is NULL the device
has no PCI context to work with and SEV TIO setup cannot proceed,
so return -ENODEV before any of the bus-dependent lookups. The
remaining initialisation now runs only on the path where pdev->bus
is known to be valid.

No change for callers where pdev->bus is non-NULL, which is the
only case where dsm_create() did meaningful work before this change.

Refuse to re-try initialization if SNP is not already initialized for
SNP_CONFIG.

This is technically an ABI break: before if SNP initialization failed it
could be transparently retriggered by this ioctl, and if no VMs were
running, everything worked fine. Hopefully this is enough of a corner case
that nobody will notice, but someone does, there are a few options:

* do something like symbol_get() for kvm and refuse to initialize if KVM is
  loaded
* check each cpu's HSAVE_PA for non-zero data before re-initializing
* once initialization has failed, continue to refuse to initialize until

The SEV firmware docs for SNP_VLEK_LOAD note:

That is, the initialization/shutdown wrapper here is pointless, because the
firmware immediately throws away the key anyway. Instead, refuse to do
anything if SNP has not been previously initialized.

This is an ABI break: before, this was a no-op and almost certainly a
mistake by userspace, and now it returns -ENODEV. ABI compatibility could be
maintained here by simply returning 0 in the check instead.

The SNP_COMMIT command does not require the firmware to be in any
particular state. Skip initializing it if it was previously uninitialized.

The SEV-SNP firmware specification doc 56860 does not mention SNP_COMMIT in

sev_move_to_init_state() is called for ioctls requiring only SEV firmware:
SEV_PEK_GEN, SEV_PDH_GEN, SEV_PEK_CSR, SEV_PEK_CERT_IMPORT, and
SEV_PDH_CERT_EXPORT. After the firmware command, it does SEV_SHUTDOWN on
the SEV firmware. Since these commands do not require SNP to be
initialized, skip it by calling __sev_platform_init_locked() which only
initializes the SEV firmware. This way SNP is not Initialized at all, and
HSAVE_PA is not cleared.

The previous code saved any SEV initialization firmware error to
init_args.error and then threw it away and hardcoded the return value of
INVALID_PLATFORM_STATE regardless of the real firmware error. This patch
changes it to surface the underlying error, which is hopefully both more
useful and doesn't cause any problems.

Note that it is still safe to call __sev_firmware_shutdown() directly: it
calls __sev_snp_shutdown_locked(), which skips SNP shutdown if SNP was not
initialized.

The .driver_data member of the struct pci_device_id array was

4b28f0846e crypto/ccp: export firmware supported vm types
In some configurations, the firmware does not support all VM types. The SEV
firmware has an entry in the TCB_VERSION structure referred to as the
Security Version Number in the SEV-SNP firmware specification and referred
to as the "SPL" in SEV firmware release notes. The SEV firmware release
notes say:

On every SEV firmware release where a security mitigation has been
added, the SNP SPL gets increased by 1. This is to let users know that
it is important to update to this version.

The SEV firmware release that fixed CVE-2025-48514 by disabling SEV-ES
support on vulnerable platforms has this SVN increased to reflect the fix.
The SVN is platform-specific, as is the structure of TCB_VERSION.

Check CURRENT_TCB instead of REPORTED_TCB, since the firmware behaves with
the CURRENT_TCB SVN level and will reject SEV-ES VMs accordingly.

Parse the SVN, and mask off the SEV_ES supported VM type from the list of
supported types if it is above the per-platform threshold for the relevant
platforms.

ea5e57cc97 crypto: atmel-sha204a - drop hwrng quality reduction for ATSHA204A
Commit 8006aff155 ("crypto: atmel-sha204a - Set hwrng quality to
lowest possible") reduced the hwrng quality to 1 based on a review by
Bill Cox [1]. However, despite its title, the review only tested the
ATSHA204, not the ATSHA204A.

In the same thread, Atmel engineer Landon Cox wrote "this behavior has
been eliminated entirely"[2] in the ATSHA204A and "this problem does not
affect the ATECC108 or the ATECC108A (or the ATSHA204A)"[3].

According to the official ATSHA204A datasheet [4], the device contains a
high-quality hardware RNG that combines its output with an internal seed
value stored in EEPROM or SRAM to generate random numbers. The device
also implements all security functions using SHA-256, and the driver
uses the chip's Random command in seed-update mode.

Keep 'quality = 1' for ATSHA204, but drop the explicit hwrng quality
reduction for ATSHA204A and fall back to the hwrng core default.

2505632938 crypto: ixp4xx - fix buffer chain unwind on allocation failure
chainup_buffers() builds a linked list of buffer descriptors for a
scatterlist. If dma_pool_alloc() fails while constructing the list, the
current code sets buf to NULL and later dereferences it unconditionally
at the end of the function:

  buf->next = NULL;
  buf->phys_next = 0;

This can lead to a null-pointer dereference on allocation failure.

If the failure happens after part of the descriptor chain has already
been allocated and DMA-mapped, the partially constructed chain also
needs to be released.

Fix this by terminating the partially constructed chain on allocation
failure and letting the callers unwind it via their existing cleanup
paths. Also fix ablk_perform() to preserve the hook pointers before
checking for failure, so partially built chains can be freed correctly.

sun8i-ss-core.c:(.text.sun8i_ss_probe+0x40c): undefined reference to `crypto_register_rng'

Looking more closely, I see that all of the allwinner crypto drivers have the
same logic where the rng and hash parts of the driver are optional, but then the
generic code is still selected, which is a bit inconsistent, aside from the
missing CRYPTO_RNG select on sun8i-ss.

Change the approach so only the bits that are actually used are built, using
ifdef checks around the optional portions that match the optional references
to the sub-drivers.

Ideally the drivers would get reworked in a way that keeps all the bits
related to the skcipher/ahash/rng codecs in the respective sub-drivers,
rather than having a common driver that knows about all of these.

Before SNP x86 shutdown [1], all HV_FIXED pages were always leaked on

The SFS driver does sfs_dev_destroy() -> snp_free_hv_fixed_pages(), marking
the command buffer as free. But this happens after sev_dev_destroy() in
psp_dev_destroy(), so the pages are always leaked.

Rearrange psp_dev_destroy() to destroy things in the reverse order from
psp_init(), so that any dependencies can be unwound accordingly. This lets
SFS free the page and the subsequent SNP shutdown release it.

8451ab6ad6 crypto: sa2ul - Fix AEAD fallback algorithm names
For authenc AEAD algorithms, sa2ul is trying to register very specific
-ce version as a fallback. This causes registration failure on SoCs
which do not have ARMv8-CE enabled/available. Change the fallback
algorithm from the specific driver name to generic algorithm name so
that the kernel can allocate any available fallback.

3ba3b02f89 crypto: eip93 - fix hmac setkey algo selection
eip93_hmac_setkey() allocates a temporary ahash transform for
computing HMAC ipad/opad key material. The allocation uses the
driver-specific cra_driver_name (e.g. "sha256-eip93") but passes
CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC as the mask, which excludes async algorithms.

Since the EIP93 hash algorithms are the only ones registered
under those driver names and they are inherently async, the
lookup is self-contradictory and always fails with -ENOENT.

When called from the AEAD setkey path, this failure leaves the
SA record partially initialized with zeroed digest fields. A
subsequent crypto operation then dereferences a NULL pointer in
the request context, resulting in a kernel panic:

The reported symbol eip93_aead_handle_result+0xc8c is a
resolution artifact from static functions being merged under
the nearest exported symbol. Decoding the faulting sequence:

```
  910142b6  ADD  X22, X21, #0x50
  f94012e0  LDR  X0, [X23, #0x20]
  f9002aa0  STR  X0, [X21, #0x50]
  f90006d3  STR  X19, [X22, #0x8]
  f9400740  LDR  X0, [X26, #0x8]
```

The faulting LDR at [X26, #0x8] is loading ctx->flags
(offset 8 in eip93_hash_ctx), where ctx has been resolved
to NULL from a partially initialized or unreachable
transform context following the failed setkey.

Fix this by dropping the CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC mask from the
crypto_alloc_ahash() call. The code already handles async
completion correctly via crypto_wait_req(), so there is no
requirement to restrict the lookup to synchronous algorithms.

Note that hashing a single 64-byte block through the hardware
is likely slower than doing it in software due to the DMA
round-trip overhead, but offloading it may still spare CPU
cycles on the slower embedded cores where this IP is found.

370c388319 Crypto library updates for 7.1
- Migrate more hash algorithms from the traditional crypto subsystem
   to lib/crypto/.

Like the algorithms migrated earlier (e.g. SHA-*), this simplifies
the implementations, improves performance, enables further
simplifications in calling code, and solves various other issues:

     - AES CBC-based MACs (AES-CMAC, AES-XCBC-MAC, and AES-CBC-MAC)

         - Support these algorithms in lib/crypto/ using the AES
library and the existing arm64 assembly code

         - Reimplement the traditional crypto API's "cmac(aes)",
"xcbc(aes)", and "cbcmac(aes)" on top of the library

         - Convert mac80211 to use the AES-CMAC library. Note: several
other subsystems can use it too and will be converted later

         - Drop the broken, nonstandard, and likely unused support for
"xcbc(aes)" with key lengths other than 128 bits

         - Enable optimizations by default

     - GHASH

         - Migrate the standalone GHASH code into lib/crypto/

         - Integrate the GHASH code more closely with the very similar
POLYVAL code, and improve the generic GHASH implementation
to resist cache-timing attacks and use much less memory

         - Reimplement the AES-GCM library and the "gcm" crypto_aead
template on top of the GHASH library. Remove "ghash" from
the crypto_shash API, as it's no longer needed

         - Enable optimizations by default

     - SM3

         - Migrate the kernel's existing SM3 code into lib/crypto/, and
reimplement the traditional crypto API's "sm3" on top of it

         - I don't recommend using SM3, but this cleanup is worthwhile
to organize the code the same way as other algorithms

Pull crypto library updates from Eric Biggers:

 - Migrate more hash algorithms from the traditional crypto subsystem to
   lib/crypto/

Like the algorithms migrated earlier (e.g. SHA-*), this simplifies
the implementations, improves performance, enables further
simplifications in calling code, and solves various other issues:

     - AES CBC-based MACs (AES-CMAC, AES-XCBC-MAC, and AES-CBC-MAC)

         - Support these algorithms in lib/crypto/ using the AES library
and the existing arm64 assembly code

POLYVAL code, and improve the generic GHASH implementation to
resist cache-timing attacks and use much less memory

         - Reimplement the AES-GCM library and the "gcm" crypto_aead
template on top of the GHASH library. Remove "ghash" from the
crypto_shash API, as it's no longer needed

         - Enable optimizations by default

     - SM3

         - Migrate the kernel's existing SM3 code into lib/crypto/, and
reimplement the traditional crypto API's "sm3" on top of it

         - I don't recommend using SM3, but this cleanup is worthwhile
to organize the code the same way as other algorithms

 - Testing improvements:

     - Add a KUnit test suite for each of the new library APIs

     - Migrate the existing ChaCha20Poly1305 test to KUnit

     - Make the KUnit all_tests.config enable all crypto library tests

     - Move the test kconfig options to the Runtime Testing menu

 - Other updates to arch-optimized crypto code:

     - Optimize SHA-256 for Zhaoxin CPUs using the Padlock Hash Engine

     - Remove some MD5 implementations that are no longer worth keeping

     - Drop big endian and voluntary preemption support from the arm64
code, as those configurations are no longer supported on arm64

 - Make jitterentropy and samples/tsm-mr use the crypto library APIs

95aed2af87 crypto: qat - fix IRQ cleanup on 6xxx probe failure
When adf_dev_up() partially completes and then fails, the IRQ
handlers registered during adf_isr_resource_alloc() are not detached
before the MSI-X vectors are released.

Since the device is enabled with pcim_enable_device(), calling
pci_alloc_irq_vectors() internally registers pcim_msi_release() as a
devres action. On probe failure, devres runs pcim_msi_release() which
calls pci_free_irq_vectors(), tearing down the MSI-X vectors while IRQ
handlers (for example 'qat0-bundle0') are still attached. This causes
remove_proc_entry() warnings:

    [ 22.163964] remove_proc_entry: removing non-empty directory 'irq/143', leaking at least 'qat0-bundle0'

Moving the devm_add_action_or_reset() before adf_dev_up() does not solve
the problem since devres runs in LIFO order and pcim_msi_release(),
registered later inside adf_dev_up(), would still fire before
adf_device_down().

Fix by calling adf_dev_down() explicitly when adf_dev_up() fails, to
properly free IRQ handlers before devres releases the MSI-X vectors.

655ef638a2 crypto: talitos - fix SEC1 32k ahash request limitation
Since commit c662b043cd ("crypto: af_alg/hash: Support
MSG_SPLICE_PAGES"), the crypto core may pass large scatterlists spanning
multiple pages to drivers supporting ahash operations. As a result, a
driver can now receive large ahash requests.

The SEC1 engine has a limitation where a single descriptor cannot
process more than 32k of data. The current implementation attempts to
handle the entire request within a single descriptor, which leads to
failures raised by the driver:

  "length exceeds h/w max limit"

Address this limitation by splitting large ahash requests into multiple
descriptors, each respecting the 32k hardware limit. This allows
processing arbitrarily large requests.

879a4f78ea crypto: qat - add support for zstd
Add support for the ZSTD algorithm for QAT GEN4, GEN5 and GEN6 via the
acomp API.

For GEN4 and GEN5, compression is performed in hardware using LZ4s, a
QAT-specific variant of LZ4. The compressed output is post-processed to
generate ZSTD sequences, and the ZSTD library is then used to produce
the final ZSTD stream via zstd_compress_sequences_and_literals(). Only
inputs between 8 KB and 512 KB are offloaded to the device. The minimum
size restriction will be relaxed once polling support is added. The
maximum size is limited by the use of pre-allocated per-CPU scratch
buffers. On these generations, only compression is offloaded to hardware;
decompression always falls back to software.

For GEN6, both compression and decompression are offloaded to the
accelerator, which natively supports the ZSTD algorithm. There is no
limit on the input buffer size supported. However, since GEN6 is limited
to a history size of 64 KB, decompression of frames compressed with a
larger history falls back to software.

Since GEN2 devices do not support ZSTD or LZ4s, add a mechanism that
prevents selecting GEN2 compression instances for ZSTD or LZ4s when a
GEN2 plug-in card is present on a system with an embedded GEN4, GEN5 or
GEN6 device.

In addition, modify the algorithm registration logic to allow
registering the correct implementation, i.e. LZ4s based for GEN4 and
GEN5 or native ZSTD for GEN6.

6ac142bf26 crypto: qat - add anti-rollback support for GEN6 devices
Anti-Rollback (ARB) is a QAT GEN6 hardware feature that prevents loading
firmware with a Security Version Number (SVN) lower than an authorized
minimum. This protects against downgrade attacks by ensuring that only
firmware at or above a committed SVN can run on the acceleration device.

During firmware loading, the driver checks the SVN validation status via
a hardware CSR. If the check reports a failure, firmware authentication
is aborted. If it reports a retry status, the driver reissues the
authentication command up to a maximum number of retries.

Extend the firmware admin interface with two new messages,
ICP_QAT_FW_SVN_READ and ICP_QAT_FW_SVN_COMMIT, to query and commit the
SVN, respectively. Integrate the SVN check into the firmware
authentication path in qat_uclo.c so the driver can react to
anti-rollback status during device bring-up.

Expose SVN information to userspace via a new sysfs attribute group,
qat_svn, under the PCI device directory. The group provides read-only
attributes for the active, enforced minimum, and permanent minimum SVN
values, as well as a write-only commit attribute that allows a system
administrator to commit the currently active SVN as the new authorized
minimum.

This is based on earlier work by Ciunas Bennett.

b0bfa49c03 crypto: nx - Fix packed layout in struct nx842_crypto_header
struct nx842_crypto_header is declared with the __packed attribute,

packed layout guarantees of the containing structure.

Fix this by replacing struct_group_tagged() with __struct_group(...,

9f4e9553a1 crypto: gcm - Use GHASH library instead of crypto_ahash
Make the "gcm" template access GHASH using the library API instead of
crypto_ahash. This is much simpler and more efficient, especially given
that all GHASH implementations are synchronous and CPU-based anyway.

Note that this allows "ghash" to be removed from the crypto_ahash (and
crypto_shash) API, which a later commit will do.

This mirrors the similar cleanup that was done with POLYVAL.

5c52607c43 crypto: ccp - Fix leaking the same page twice
Commit 551120148b ("crypto: ccp - Fix a case where SNP_SHUTDOWN is
missed") fixed a case where SNP is left in INIT state if page reclaim
fails. It removes the transition to the INIT state for this command and
adjusts the page state management.

While doing this, it added a call to snp_leak_pages() after a call to
snp_reclaim_pages() failed. Since snp_reclaim_pages() already calls
snp_leak_pages() internally on the pages it fails to reclaim, calling
it again leaks the exact same page twice.

Fix by removing the extra call to snp_leak_pages().

The problem was found by an experimental code review agent based on
gemini-3.1-pro while reviewing backports into v6.18.y.

7137cbf2b5 crypto: aes - Add cmac, xcbc, and cbcmac algorithms using library
Update the "aes" module to implement "cmac(aes)", "xcbc(aes)", and
"cbcmac(aes)" algorithms using the corresponding library functions, and
register these with the crypto_shash API. Each algorithm is included
only if the corresponding existing kconfig option is enabled.

This allows the architecture-optimized implementations of these
algorithms to continue to be accessible via the crypto_shash API once
they are migrated into the library.

For "xcbc(aes)", I also fixed the bug where AES key lengths other than
128 bits were allowed, so that this bug didn't have to be implemented in
the library. The AES-XCBC-MAC specification (RFC 3566) is clear that
key lengths other than 128 bits MUST NOT be supported. AES-XCBC-MAC
derives a 128-bit subkey internally, so the nonstandard support for
longer AES keys didn't really work: AES-128 was still used internally.

In the unlikely event that someone is actually relying on the broken and
nonstandard support for longer AES-XCBC-MAC keys, we can fairly easily
reintroduce it. But it seems unnecessary: the only user of "xcbc(aes)"
seems to be IPsec, which uses 128-bit keys with it.

usage scenarios and less-developed flush and cancel mechanisms.

To replace tasklets, BH workqueue support was recently added. A BH
workqueue behaves similarly to regular workqueues except that the queued
work items are executed in the BH context.

Convert virtio_crypto_core.c from tasklet to BH workqueue.

Semantically, this is an equivalent conversion and there shouldn't be
any user-visible behavior changes. The BH workqueue implementation uses
the same softirq infrastructure, and performance-critical networking
conversions have shown no measurable performance impact.

f050e4209a crypto: safexcel - Add support for authenc(hmac(md5),*) suites
This patch adds support for the following AEAD ciphersuites:
- authenc(hmac(md5),cbc(aes))
- authenc(hmac(md5),cbc(des)))
- authenc(hmac(md5),cbc(des3_ede))
- authenc(hmac(md5),rfc3686(ctr(aes)))

The first three ciphersuites were tested using testmgr and the recently
sent test vectors. They passed self-tests.

This is enhanced version of the patch found in the mtk-openwrt-feeds repo.

In the error path of sev_tsm_init_locked(), the code dereferences 't'
after it has been freed with kfree(). The pr_err() statement attempts

Move the pr_err() call before kfree(t) to access the fields while the

32a92f8c89 Convert more 'alloc_obj' cases to default GFP_KERNEL arguments
This converts some of the visually simpler cases that have been split
over multiple lines. I only did the ones that are easy to verify the
resulting diff by having just that final GFP_KERNEL argument on the next
line.

Somebody should probably do a proper coccinelle script for this, but for
me the trivial script actually resulted in an assertion failure in the
middle of the script. I probably had made it a bit _too_ trivial.

So after fighting that far a while I decided to just do some of the
syntactically simpler cases with variations of the previous 'sed'
scripts.

The more syntactically complex multi-line cases would mostly really want
whitespace cleanup anyway.

bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

1562b1fb7e crypto: omap - Allocate OMAP_CRYPTO_FORCE_COPY scatterlists correctly
The existing allocation of scatterlists in omap_crypto_copy_sg_lists()
was allocating an array of scatterlist pointers, not scatterlist objects,
resulting in a 4x too small allocation.

Use sizeof(*new_sg) to get the correct object size.

ccb679fdae crypto: starfive - Fix memory leak in starfive_aes_aead_do_one_req()
The starfive_aes_aead_do_one_req() function allocates rctx->adata with
kzalloc() but fails to free it if sg_copy_to_buffer() or
starfive_aes_hw_init() fails, which lead to memory leaks.

Since rctx->adata is unconditionally freed after the write_adata
operations, ensure consistent cleanup by freeing the allocation in these
earlier error paths as well.

Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool

When commit 0e1a4d427f ("crypto: caam: Unembed net_dev structure in
dpaa2") converted embedded net_device to dynamically allocated pointers,
it added cleanup in dpaa2_dpseci_disable() but missed adding cleanup in
dpaa2_dpseci_free() for error paths.

This causes memory leaks when dpaa2_dpseci_dpio_setup() fails during probe
due to DPIO devices not being ready yet. The kernel's deferred probe
mechanism handles the retry successfully, but the netdevs allocated during
the failed probe attempt are never freed, resulting in kmemleak reports
showing multiple leaked netdev-related allocations all traced back to
dpaa2_caam_probe().

Fix this by preserving the CPU mask of allocated netdevs during setup and
using it for cleanup in dpaa2_dpseci_free(). This approach ensures that
only the CPUs that actually had netdevs allocated will be cleaned up,
avoiding potential issues with CPU hotplug scenarios.

6d0de6014b crypto: hisilicon/qm - increase wait time for mailbox
The device requires more time to process queue stop and function stop
mailbox commands compared to other mailbox commands . In the current
driver, the mailbox processing wait time for queue stop and function
stop is less than the device timeout, which may cause the driver to
incorrectly assume that the mailbox processing has failed. Therefore,
the driver wait time for queue stop and function stop should be set to
be greater than the device timeout. And PF and VF communication
relies on mailbox, the communication wait time should also be modified.

3296992ffc crypto: hisilicon/qm - obtain the mailbox configuration at one time
The malibox needs to be triggered by a 128bit atomic operation.
The reason is that the PF and VFs of the device share the mmio memory
of the mailbox, and the mutex cannot lock mailbox operations in
different functions, especially when passing through VFs to
virtual machines.

Currently, the write operation to the mailbox is already a 128-bit
atomic write. The read operation also needs to be modified to a
128-bit atomic read. Since there is no general 128-bit IO memory
access API in the current ARM64 architecture, and the stp and ldp
instructions do not guarantee atomic access to device memory, they
cannot be extracted as a general API. Therefore, the 128-bit atomic
read and write operations need to be implemented in the driver.

ebf35d8f93 crypto: hisilicon/qm - move the barrier before writing to the mailbox register
Before sending the data via the mailbox to the hardware, to ensure
that the data accessed by the hardware is the most up-to-date,
a write barrier should be added before writing to the mailbox register.
The current memory barrier is placed after writing to the register,
the barrier order should be modified to be before writing to the register.

Add the "hisi-lz4-acomp" algorithm by the crypto acomp. When the
