Add a Parallel Writes option (default 1) to the update and findOneAndUpdate operations. With the default, the node sends one bulkWrite per collection as before. Above 1, the node splits a collection into lanes by a hash of the resolved filter value, so items that target one document keep their input order. Each lane sends sequential chunks of at most 1000 operations and 15 MiB, so one chunk is one update command. Lanes run at the same time, stop dispatching after the first failure, and settle before the node throws. A collection falls back to one lane when items resolve different update key fields or when the collection has a default collation. |
