An external install of @n8n/design-system costs 351 MB and 312 packages, and pulls isolated-vm, @sentry/node and an OpenTelemetry distribution. Measuring each edge shows the cause is not size and not the native addon: it is three type-only import statements declared as runtime dependencies, in @n8n/composables and @n8n/i18n. Neither package references n8n-workflow or @n8n/api-types from any runtime file in its published dist. Six options, each measured rather than projected where a tree could be installed. Recommends fixing the declarations (210 MB / 163 packages, and it fixes every consumer of those two packages) alongside sinking the one 46-line composable design-system actually imports (207 MB / 157 packages). Also starts the repo-level RFC and ADR archives with their conventions.
