While receiving an MST up request message from one thread in drm_dp_mst_handle_up_req(), the MST topology could be removed from another thread via drm_dp_mst_topology_mgr_set_mst(false), freeing mst_primary and setting drm_dp_mst_topology_mgr::mst_primary to NULL. This could lead to a NULL deref/use-after-free of mst_primary in drm_dp_mst_handle_up_req(). Avoid the above by holding a reference for mst_primary in drm_dp_mst_handle_up_req() while it's used. v2: Fix kfreeing the request if getting an mst_primary reference fails. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
