Ido Schimmel c01a9dbec1 thermal: Fix use-after-free when unregistering thermal zone device [ Upstream commit `1851799e1d` ] thermal_zone_device_unregister() cancels the delayed work that polls the thermal zone, but it does not wait for it to finish. This is racy with respect to the freeing of the thermal zone device, which can result in a use-after-free [1]. Fix this by waiting for the delayed work to finish before freeing the thermal zone device. Note that thermal_zone_device_set_polling() is never invoked from an atomic context, so it is safe to call cancel_delayed_work_sync() that can block. Linux kernel
============

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.

In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``.  The formatted documentation can also be read online at:

    https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.

Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
