Linux kernel source tree
For clarity. It's increasingly hard to reason about the code, when KASLR is moving around the boundaries. In this case where KASLR is randomizing the location of the kernel image within physical memory, the maximum number of address bits for physical memory has not changed. What has changed is the ending address of memory that is allowed to be directly mapped by the kernel. Let's name the variable, and the associated macro accordingly. Also, enhance the comment above the direct_map_physmem_end definition, to further clarify how this all works. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
