Linux kernel source tree
When applications closes, it triggers the drm_file_free function which subsequently releases all allocated buffer objects. Concurrently, the resume_worker thread will attempt to map the usermode queue. However, since the wptr buffer object has already been deallocated, this will result in an Illegal opcode error being raised in the command stream. Now replacing drm_release() with a new function amdgpu_drm_release(). This function will set the flag to prevent the scheduling of any new queue resume/map, stop all queues and then call drm_release(). V2: - Replace drm_release with amdgpu_drm_release(Christian). Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
