Remove support for md4 md5 hash and signatures in x.509 certificate parsers, pkcs7 signature parser, authenticode parser. All of these are insecure or broken, and everyone has long time ago migrated to alternative hash implementations. Also remove md2 & md3 oids which have already didn't have support. This is also likely the last user of md4 in the kernel, and thus crypto/md4.c and related tests in tcrypt & testmgr can likely be removed. Other users such as cifs smbfs ext modpost sumversions have their own internal implementation as needed. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
