Linux kernel source tree
The 'struct cxl_mem' object actually represents the state of a CXL device within the driver. Comments indicating that 'struct cxl_mem' is a device itself are incorrect. It is data layered on top of a CXL Memory Expander class device. Rename it 'struct cxl_dev_state'. The 'struct' cxl_memdev' structure represents a Linux CXL memory device object, and it uses services and information provided by 'struct cxl_dev_state'. Update the structure name, function names, and the kdocs to reflect the real uses of this structure. Some helper functions that were previously prefixed "cxl_mem_" are renamed to just "cxl_". Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
