The current check in blk_stack_atomic_writes_limits() for a bottom device supporting atomic writes is to verify that limit atomic_write_unit_min is non-zero. This would cause a problem for device mapper queue limits calculation. This is because it uses a temporary queue_limits structure to stack the limits, before finally commiting the limits update. The value of atomic_write_unit_min for the temporary queue_limits structure is never evaluated and so cannot be used, so use limit atomic_write_hw_unit_min. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
