a6e4b9a6de xsk: honor XDP_TX_METADATA in zero-copy path
The zero-copy path reads TX metadata whenever the UMEM has metadata space,
even if the descriptor does not set XDP_TX_METADATA. Pass descriptor
options through the metadata helpers and ignore metadata unless the option
is set.

This does not fix the existing per-WQE metadata handling for mlx5 MPWQEs.
Only the descriptor that starts a session passes through
xsk_tx_metadata_request() and configures offload state shared by the batch.
Metadata on descriptors joining an open session is therefore not validated
and does not configure its requested offloads. In addition, a non-NULL
metadata pointer from such a descriptor is treated as a timestamp
completion request even when XDP_TXMD_FLAGS_TIMESTAMP is not set, so its
metadata union can be overwritten with an unrequested timestamp. Fixing
mixed metadata states within one MPWQE requires a separate change.

In the __xsk_rcv() multi-buffer path, xsk_buff_alloc() is called in a

b0057c68df xsk: account ring allocations to memcg
AF_XDP rings are allocated from setsockopt() and can be mapped into user
space. The shared xskq_create() helper allocates the ring backing memory,
but the user-controlled and long-lived allocation is not charged as kmem
to the allocating memory cgroup.

The current implementation uses vmalloc_user(), which allocates the
backing pages with GFP_KERNEL | __GFP_ZERO. Use the same VM_USERMAP
vmalloc path, but pass GFP_KERNEL_ACCOUNT so the ring backing pages are
attributed to memcg/kmem and can be constrained by existing cgroup memory
limits. This keeps the existing zeroing and mmap semantics while avoiding
AF_XDP-specific optmem or RLIMIT_MEMLOCK accounting.

849b1664db xsk: validate metadata when processing requests
The zero-copy path validates TX metadata while obtaining the descriptor
context, then reads it again later when preparing the hardware request.
User space can change the metadata between those operations and bypass the
original validation.

Validate the metadata in xsk_tx_metadata_request() and use the resulting
flags snapshot for every feature check. Read request fields once so all
zero-copy drivers process only values observed after successful
validation.

9f60a67df8 xsk: clear metadata pointer when no timestamp is requested
User space can change metadata flags after request processing. Rereading
them during completion can therefore make the kernel write a timestamp
that was not requested when the packet was submitted.

Clear the metadata pointer during request processing unless timestamp
completion is requested. Completion handling can then use the pointer
itself instead of rereading the flags.

On the mlx5 multi-packet WQE path metadata is evaluated per batch:
xsk_tx_metadata_request() runs only for the descriptor that starts a
session, just like the checksum offload that is applied once through the
shared WQE. Only that descriptor's pointer is reset, so completion
handling can record a timestamp for the other descriptors of the session
regardless of their own XDP_TXMD_FLAGS_TIMESTAMP bit. The write stays
inside the metadata area; the single-WQE, other zero-copy, and generic
paths reset the pointer per descriptor and are unaffected.

72f2b4516f xsk: reclaim invalid Tx descriptors in ZC batch path
The zero-copy Tx batch parser stops when it encounters an invalid
descriptor. If this happens after one or more continuation descriptors,
the Tx consumer can be advanced past fragments that are neither submitted
to the driver nor returned to userspace through the completion ring.

A similar problem occurs when a packet exceeds xdp_zc_max_segs. The
descriptors consumed up to the limit are released without completion, and
the remaining continuation descriptors can subsequently be interpreted
as the beginning of another packet.

Parse Tx batches in packet units and distinguish descriptors belonging to
complete valid packets from descriptors consumed while draining an
invalid or oversized packet. Return the former to the driver and append
the latter to the CQ address area so userspace can reclaim their UMEM
frames.

Treat a standalone invalid descriptor as a one-descriptor reclaim-only
packet. Advancing the Tx-ring consumer releases the ring slot, but does
not by itself return ownership of the referenced UMEM frame to userspace.

Once draining starts, continue until the packet's end-of-packet
descriptor is consumed. Preserve the drain state on the socket when EOP
has not yet been supplied, so draining can continue during a later call.
Leave incomplete but otherwise valid packets on the Tx ring.

Shared-UMEM pools using multi-buffer Tx also need packet-framed parsing.
Walk their Tx sockets one packet at a time, preserving the existing
per-socket fairness scheme, instead of using the legacy one-descriptor
fallback. Keep that fallback for shared pools that do not use
multi-buffer Tx. Since the drain state is maintained per socket and both
the singular and shared paths can resume an interrupted drain, changing
the socket list from singular to shared requires no special bind-time
transition.

CQ entries are positional, and drivers may complete only part of the Tx
work returned by xsk_tx_peek_release_desc_batch(). Therefore, reclaim-only
entries cannot be published immediately when earlier driver-visible
descriptors are still outstanding.

Track the number of driver-visible CQ entries preceding the reclaim
entries. Let xsk_tx_completed() publish partial hardware Tx completions,
and publish the reclaim entries only after every earlier Tx descriptor
has completed. Complete a reclaim-only batch immediately when there is no
driver-visible work in front of it, and prevent another Tx batch from
being appended while reclaim entries remain pending.

Also cap batch processing by the size of the pool's temporary descriptor
array, as Tx rings belonging to sockets sharing a UMEM may have different
sizes.

This ensures that every invalid Tx descriptor consumed by the ZC batch
path is either submitted to the driver as part of a valid packet or
returned to userspace without violating CQ completion ordering.

08c9a8e794 xsk: provide sufficient space in pool->tx_descs
The temporary Tx descriptor array in an XSK buffer pool is currently
sized from the Tx ring of the socket that creates the pool.

This is insufficient for shared-UMEM Tx. A later socket may have a
larger Tx ring and submit a valid multi-buffer packet containing more
descriptors than the first socket's ring, while still remaining within
the device's xdp_zc_max_segs limit.

A packet-framed batch parser bounded by the temporary array cannot reach
the end-of-packet descriptor in that case. It leaves the packet on the
Tx ring and encounters the same packet on every subsequent attempt,
stalling Tx processing for that socket.

Size the temporary descriptor array to the larger of the first Tx ring
and the device's xdp_zc_max_segs capability. This keeps the array large
enough to inspect one maximum-sized valid packet. Larger shared Tx rings
do not require further resizing, as they can be processed over multiple
batches.

Following commit will actually address the data path side.

bd44a6dcd4 xsk: drain continuation descs after overflow in xsk_build_skb()
Fix generic xmit path multi-buffer logic when packets are either too big
(count of descriptors exceed MAX_SKB_FRAGS) or an invalid descriptor is
included in fragmented packet. Introduce xdp_sock::drain_cont and act
upon this flag - when it is set, keep on consuming descriptors from

a3c8382ebc xsk: fix buffer leak in xsk_drop_skb() for AF_XDP multi-buffer Tx
This patch is inspired by the check[1] from sashiko. It says when
overflow happens, the address of cq to be published is invalid.
Actually the severer thing is the whole process of publishing the
address of cq in this particular case is not right: it should truely
publish the address and advance the cached_prod in cq as long as it
reads descriptors from txq.

The following is the full analysis.
xsk_drop_skb() is called in three places, which all discard a partially
built multi-buffer skb:
1) xsk_build_skb() -EOVERFLOW error path: packet exceeds MAX_SKB_FRAGS
2) __xsk_generic_xmit() post-loop cleanup: an invalid descriptor in
   the TX ring prevents the partial packet from completing
3) xsk_release(): socket close while xs->skb holds an incomplete packet

In all three cases, the TX descriptors for the already-processed frags
have been consumed from the TX ring (xskq_cons_release), and CQ slots
have been reserved. However, xsk_drop_skb() calls xsk_consume_skb()
which cancels the CQ reservations via xsk_cq_cancel_locked(). Since
the buffer addresses never appear in the completion queue, userspace
permanently loses track of these buffers.

Fix this by letting consume_skb() trigger the existing xsk_destruct_skb
destructor, which already submits buffer addresses to the CQ via
xsk_cq_submit_addr_locked().

Note that cancelling the descriptors back to the TX ring (via
xskq_cons_cancel_n) is not a appropriate option because an oversized
packet that always exceeds MAX_SKB_FRAGS would be retried indefinitely,
which is an obviously deadlock bug in the TX path.

Also move the desc->addr assignment in xsk_build_skb() above the
overflow check so that the current descriptor's address is recorded
before a potential -EOVERFLOW jump to free_err, consistent with the
zerocopy path in xsk_build_skb_zerocopy().

251bc9db88 net: rename netdev_ops_assert_locked()

the netdev_lock_ops_compat() semantics.

We want netdev_assert_locked_ops() to mean - if the driver

The existing helper check for either ops lock or rtnl_lock,
which is the locking behavior of netdev_lock_ops_compat().

The reason for naming divergence is likely that
netdev_ops_assert_locked() predated the _compat() helpers.

22ba97ea9c xsk: cache csum_start/csum_offset to fix TOCTOU in xsk_skb_metadata()
The TX metadata area resides in the UMEM buffer which is memory-mapped
and concurrently writable by userspace. In xsk_skb_metadata(),
csum_start and csum_offset are read from shared memory for bounds
validation, then read again for skb assignment. A malicious userspace
application can race to overwrite these values between the two reads,
bypassing the bounds check and causing out-of-bounds memory access
during checksum computation in the transmit path.

Fix this by reading csum_start and csum_offset into local variables
once, then using the local copies for both validation and assignment.

Note that other metadata fields (flags, launch_time) and the cached
csum fields may be mutually inconsistent due to concurrent userspace
writes, but this is benign: the only security-critical invariant is
that each field's validated value is the same one used, which local
caching guarantees.

bf6d507f7e xskmap: reject TX-only AF_XDP sockets
XSKMAP entries are used as redirect targets for incoming XDP frames.
A TX-only AF_XDP socket lacks an Rx ring and cannot handle redirected
traffic, but xsk_map_update_elem() currently allows such sockets to
be inserted into the map.

Redirecting packets to such a socket on the veth generic-XDP path
causes a kernel crash in xsk_generic_rcv().

This became possible after xsk_is_setup_for_bpf_map() was removed from
the XSKMAP update path, which allowed bound TX-only sockets to be
inserted into the map.

Reject TX-only sockets during XSKMAP updates to avoid the crash.
They remain fully operational for pure Tx purposes outside XSKMAP.

203cee647f xsk: fix u64 descriptor address truncation on 32-bit architectures
In copy mode TX, xsk_skb_destructor_set_addr() stores the 64-bit
descriptor address into skb_shinfo(skb)->destructor_arg (void *) via a
uintptr_t cast:

    skb_shinfo(skb)->destructor_arg = (void *)((uintptr_t)addr | 0x1UL);

On 32-bit architectures uintptr_t is 32 bits, so the upper 32 bits of
the descriptor address are silently dropped. In XDP_ZEROCOPY unaligned
mode the chunk offset is encoded in bits 48-63 of the descriptor
address (XSK_UNALIGNED_BUF_OFFSET_SHIFT = 48), meaning the offset is
lost entirely. The completion queue then returns a truncated address to
userspace, making buffer recycling impossible.

Fix this by handling the 32-bit case directly in
xsk_skb_destructor_set_addr(): when !CONFIG_64BIT, allocate an
xsk_addrs struct (the same path already used for multi-descriptor
SKBs) to store the full u64 address. The existing tagged-pointer logic
in xsk_skb_destructor_is_addr() stays unchanged: slab pointers returned
from kmem_cache_zalloc() are always word-aligned and therefore have
bit 0 clear, which correctly identifies them as a struct pointer
rather than an inline tagged address on every architecture.

Factor the shared kmem_cache_zalloc + destructor_arg assignment into
__xsk_addrs_alloc() and add a wrapper xsk_addrs_alloc() that handles
the inline-to-list upgrade (is_addr check + get_addr + num_descs = 1).
The three former open-coded kmem_cache_zalloc call sites now reduce to
a single call each.

Propagate the -ENOMEM from xsk_skb_destructor_set_addr() through
xsk_skb_init_misc() so the caller can clean up the skb via kfree_skb()
before skb->destructor is installed.

The overhead is one extra kmem_cache_zalloc per first descriptor on
32-bit only; 64-bit builds are completely unchanged.

e0f229025a xsk: fix xsk_addrs slab leak on multi-buffer error path
When xsk_build_skb() / xsk_build_skb_zerocopy() sees the first
continuation descriptor, it promotes destructor_arg from an inlined
address to a freshly allocated xsk_addrs (num_descs = 1). The counter
is bumped to >= 2 only at the very end of a successful build (by calling
xsk_inc_num_desc()).

If the build fails in between (e.g. alloc_page() returns NULL with
-EAGAIN, or the MAX_SKB_FRAGS overflow hits), we jump to free_err, skip
calling xsk_inc_num_desc() to increment num_descs and leave the half-built
skb attached to xs->skb for the app to retry. The skb now has
1) destructor_arg = a real xsk_addrs pointer,
2) num_descs = 1

If the app never retries and just close()s the socket, xsk_release()
calls xsk_drop_skb() -> xsk_consume_skb(), which decides whether to
free xsk_addrs by testing num_descs > 1:

    if (unlikely(num_descs > 1))
        kmem_cache_free(xsk_tx_generic_cache, destructor_arg);

Because num_descs is exactly 1 the branch is skipped and the
xsk_addrs object is leaked to the xsk_tx_generic_cache slab.

Fix it by directly testing if destructor_arg is still addr. Or else it
is modified and used to store the newly allocated memory from
xsk_tx_generic_cache regardless of increment of num_desc, which we
need to handle.

3dec153ae4 xsk: prevent CQ desync when freeing half-built skbs in xsk_build_skb()
Once xsk_skb_init_misc() has been called on an skb, its destructor is
set to xsk_destruct_skb(), which submits the descriptor address(es) to
the completion queue and advances the CQ producer. If such an skb is
subsequently freed via kfree_skb() along an error path - before the
skb has ever been handed to the driver - the destructor still runs and
submits a bogus, half-initialized address to the CQ.

Postpone the init phase when we believe the allocation of first frag is
successfully completed. Before this init, skb can be safely freed by
kfree_skb().

0f3776583d xsk: fix use-after-free of xs->skb in xsk_build_skb() free_err path
When xsk_build_skb() processes multi-buffer packets in copy mode, the
first descriptor stores data into the skb linear area without adding
any frags, so nr_frags stays at 0. The caller then sets xs->skb = skb
to accumulate subsequent descriptors.

If a continuation descriptor fails (e.g. alloc_page returns NULL with
-EAGAIN), we jump to free_err where the condition:

  if (skb && !skb_shinfo(skb)->nr_frags)
      kfree_skb(skb);

evaluates to true because nr_frags is still 0 (the first descriptor
used the linear area, not frags). This frees the skb while xs->skb
still points to it, creating a dangling pointer. On the next transmit
attempt or socket close, xs->skb is dereferenced, causing a
use-after-free or double-free.

Fix by using a !xs->skb check to handle first frag situation, ensuring
we only free skbs that were freshly allocated in this call
(xs->skb is NULL) and never free an in-progress multi-buffer skb that
the caller still references.

8cd3c1c6e7 xsk: handle NULL dereference of the skb without frags issue
When a first descriptor (xs->skb == NULL) triggers -EOVERFLOW in
xsk_build_skb_zerocopy() (e.g., MAX_SKB_FRAGS exceeded), the
free_err -EOVERFLOW handler unconditionally dereferences xs->skb
via xsk_inc_num_desc(xs->skb) and xsk_drop_skb(xs->skb), causing
a NULL pointer dereference.

Fix this by guarding the existing xsk_inc_num_desc()/xsk_drop_skb()
calls with an xs->skb check (for the continuation case), and add
an else branch for the first-descriptor case that manually cancels
the one reserved CQ slot and increments invalid_descs by one to
account for the single invalid descriptor.

d73a9a63f9 xsk: reject sw-csum UMEM binding to IFF_TX_SKB_NO_LINEAR devices
skb_checksum_help() is a common helper that writes the folded
16-bit checksum back via skb->data + csum_start + csum_offset,
i.e. it relies on the skb's linear head and fails (with WARN_ONCE
and -EINVAL) when skb_headlen() is 0.

AF_XDP generic xmit takes two very different paths depending on the
netdev. Drivers that advertise IFF_TX_SKB_NO_LINEAR (e.g. virtio_net)
skip the "copy payload into a linear head" step on purpose as a
performance optimisation: xsk_build_skb_zerocopy() only attaches UMEM
pages as frags and never calls skb_put(), so skb_headlen() stays 0
for the whole skb. For these skbs there is simply no linear area for
skb_checksum_help() to write the csum into - the sw-csum fallback is
structurally inapplicable.

The patch tries to catch this and reject the combination with error at
setup time. Rejecting at bind() converts this silent per-packet failure
into a synchronous, actionable -EOPNOTSUPP at setup time. HW csum and
launch_time metadata on IFF_TX_SKB_NO_LINEAR drivers are unaffected
because they do not call skb_checksum_help().

Without the patch, every descriptor carrying 'XDP_TX_METADATA |
XDP_TXMD_FLAGS_CHECKSUM' produces:
1) a WARN_ONCE "offset (N) >= skb_headlen() (0)" from skb_checksum_help(),
2) sendmsg() returning -EINVAL without consuming the descriptor
   (invalid_descs is not incremented),
3) a wedged TX ring: __xsk_generic_xmit() does not advance the
    consumer on non-EOVERFLOW errors, so the next sendmsg() re-reads
    the same descriptor and re-hits the same WARN until the socket
    is closed.

   - Improve dynamic recvbuf sizing in MPTCP, limit burstiness and avoid
     buffer size drifting up

   - Support MSG_EOR in MPTCP

   - Add stp_mode attribute to the bridge driver for STP mode selection.
     This addresses concerns about call_usermodehelper() usage

     switch the service tables to be per-net. Convert some code that
     walks the service lists to use RCU instead of the service_mutex

   - Add more opinionated input validation to lower security exposure

   - Make IPVS hash tables to be per-netns and resizable

   - Multi-link support for FILS, probe response templates and client
     probing

   - New APIs and mac80211 support for NAN (Neighbor Aware Networking,
     aka Wi-Fi Aware) so less work must be in firmware

  Driver API:

   - Add numerical ID for devlink instances (to avoid having to create
     fake bus/device pairs just to have an ID). Support shared devlink
     instances which span multiple PFs

   - Add standard counters for reporting pause storm events (implement
     in mlx5 and fbnic)

   - Add configuration API for completion writeback buffering (implement
     in mana)

   - Support driver-initiated change of RSS context sizes

Merge tag 'vfs-7.1-rc1.kino' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/vfs/vfs

Pull vfs i_ino updates from Christian Brauner:
 "For historical reasons, the inode->i_ino field is an unsigned long,
  which means that it's 32 bits on 32 bit architectures. This has caused
  a number of filesystems to implement hacks to hash a 64-bit identifier
  into a 32-bit field, and deprives us of a universal identifier field
  for an inode.

  This changes the inode->i_ino field from an unsigned long to a u64.
  This shouldn't make any material difference on 64-bit hosts, but
  32-bit hosts will see struct inode grow by at least 4 bytes. This
  could have effects on slabcache sizes and field alignment.

  The bulk of the changes are to format strings and tracepoints, since
  the kernel itself doesn't care that much about the i_ino field. The
  first patch changes some vfs function arguments, so check that one out
  carefully.

  With this change, we may be able to shrink some inode structures. For
  instance, struct nfs_inode has a fileid field that holds the 64-bit
  inode number. With this set of changes, that field could be
  eliminated. I'd rather leave that sort of cleanups for later just to
  keep this simple"

581d28606c net: remove the netif_get_rx_queue_lease_locked() helpers
The netif_get_rx_queue_lease_locked() API hides the locking
and the descend onto the leased queue. Making the code
harder to follow (at least to me). Remove the API and open
code the descend a bit. Most of the code now looks like:

 if (!leased)
     return __helper(x);

 hw_rxq = ..
 netdev_lock(hw_rxq->dev);
 ret = __helper(x);
 netdev_unlock(hw_rxq->dev);

 return ret;

Of course if we have more code paths that need the wrapping
we may need to revisit. For now, IMHO, having to know what
netif_get_rx_queue_lease_locked() does is not worth the 20LoC
it saves.

1508922588 Merge branch 'netkit-support-for-io_uring-zero-copy-and-af_xdp'
Daniel Borkmann says:

====================
netkit: Support for io_uring zero-copy and AF_XDP

Containers use virtual netdevs to route traffic from a physical netdev
in the host namespace. They do not have access to the physical netdev
in the host and thus can't use memory providers or AF_XDP that require
reconfiguring/restarting queues in the physical netdev.

This patchset adds the concept of queue leasing to virtual netdevs that
allow containers to use memory providers and AF_XDP at native speed.
Leased queues are bound to a real queue in a physical netdev and act
as a proxy.

Memory providers and AF_XDP operations take an ifindex and queue id,
so containers would pass in an ifindex for a virtual netdev and a queue
id of a leased queue, which then gets proxied to the underlying real
queue.

We have implemented support for this concept in netkit and tested the
latter against Nvidia ConnectX-6 (mlx5) as well as Broadcom BCM957504
(bnxt_en) 100G NICs. For more details see the individual patches.

910f636db9 xsk: Proxy pool management for leased queues
Similarly to the netif_mp_{open,close}_rxq handling for leased queues, proxy
the xsk_{reg,clear}_pool_at_qid via netif_get_rx_queue_lease_locked such
that in case a virtual netdev picked a leased rxq, the request gets through
to the real rxq in the physical netdev. The proxying is only relevant for
queue_id < dev->real_num_rx_queues since right now it's only supported for
rxqs.

9368397fb9 xsk: Extend xsk_rcv_check validation
xsk_rcv_check tests for inbound packets to see whether they match
the bound AF_XDP socket. Refactor the test into a small helper
xsk_dev_queue_valid and move the validation against xs->dev and
xs->queue_id there.

The fast-path case stays in place and allows for quick return in
xsk_dev_queue_valid. If it fails, the validation is extended to
check whether the AF_XDP socket is bound against a leased queue,
and if so, the test is redone.

36ee60b569 xsk: validate MTU against usable frame size on bind
AF_XDP bind currently accepts zero-copy pool configurations without
verifying that the device MTU fits into the usable frame space provided
by the UMEM chunk.

This becomes a problem since we started to respect tailroom which is
subtracted from chunk_size (among with headroom). 2k chunk size might
not provide enough space for standard 1500 MTU, so let us catch such
settings at bind time. Furthermore, validate whether underlying HW will
be able to satisfy configured MTU wrt XSK's frame size multiplied by
supported Rx buffer chain length (that is exposed via
net_device::xdp_zc_max_segs).

93e84fe45b xsk: fix XDP_UMEM_SG_FLAG issues
Currently xp_assign_dev_shared() is missing XDP_USE_SG being propagated
to flags so set it in order to preserve mtu check that is supposed to be
done only when no multi-buffer setup is in picture.

Also, this flag has the same value as XDP_UMEM_TX_SW_CSUM so we could
get unexpected SG setups for software Tx checksums. Since csum flag is

1ee1605138 xsk: respect tailroom for ZC setups
Multi-buffer XDP stores information about frags in skb_shared_info that
sits at the tailroom of a packet. The storage space is reserved via
xdp_data_hard_end():

	((xdp)->data_hard_start + (xdp)->frame_sz -	\
	 SKB_DATA_ALIGN(sizeof(struct skb_shared_info)))

and then we refer to it via macro below:

static inline struct skb_shared_info *
xdp_get_shared_info_from_buff(const struct xdp_buff *xdp)
{
        return (struct skb_shared_info *)xdp_data_hard_end(xdp);
}

Currently we do not respect this tailroom space in multi-buffer AF_XDP
ZC scenario. To address this, introduce xsk_pool_get_tailroom() and use
it within xsk_pool_get_rx_frame_size() which is used in ZC drivers to
configure length of HW Rx buffer.

Typically drivers on Rx Hw buffers side work on 128 byte alignment so
let us align the value returned by xsk_pool_get_rx_frame_size() in order
to avoid addressing this on driver's side. This addresses the fact that
idpf uses mentioned function *before* pool->dev being set so we were at
risk that after subtracting tailroom we would not provide 128-byte
aligned value to HW.

Since xsk_pool_get_rx_frame_size() is actively used in xsk_rcv_check()
and __xsk_rcv(), add a variant of this routine that will not include 128
byte alignment and therefore old behavior is preserved.

a315e022a7 xsk: tighten UMEM headroom validation to account for tailroom and min frame
The current headroom validation in xdp_umem_reg() could leave us with
insufficient space dedicated to even receive minimum-sized ethernet
frame. Furthermore if multi-buffer would come to play then
skb_shared_info stored at the end of XSK frame would be corrupted.

HW typically works with 128-aligned sizes so let us provide this value
as bare minimum.

Multi-buffer setting is known later in the configuration process so
besides accounting for 128 bytes, let us also take care of tailroom space
upfront.

77378dabb5 xsk: use __xsk_rcv_zc_safe for ZC multi-buffer Rx processing
Commit f620af11c2 ("xsk: avoid double checking against rx queue being

xdp_buff, where we were peeking onto XSK Rx queue twice, to find out if
there is a space to produce descriptors.

Adjust ZC path to follow the same principle.

net: change sock.sk_ino and sock_i_ino() to u64
inode->i_ino is being converted to a u64. sock.sk_ino (which caches the
inode number) must also be widened to avoid truncation on 32-bit
architectures where unsigned long is only 32 bits.

Change sk_ino from unsigned long to u64, and update the return type
of sock_i_ino() to match. Fix all format strings that print the
result of sock_i_ino() (%lu -> %llu), and widen the intermediate
variables and function parameters in the diag modules that were
using int to hold the inode number.

Note that the UAPI socket diag structures (inet_diag_msg.idiag_inode,
unix_diag_msg.udiag_ino, etc.) are all __u32 and cannot be changed
without breaking the ABI. The assignments to those fields will
silently truncate, which is the existing behavior.

In the zero-copy case, if the Rx queue gets full as fragments are being

60abb0ac11 xsk: Fix fragment node deletion to prevent buffer leak
After commit b692bf9a75 ("xsk: Get rid of xdp_buff_xsk::xskb_list_node"),
the list_node field is reused for both the xskb pool list and the buffer
free list, this causes a buffer leak as described below.

xp_free() checks if a buffer is already on the free list using
list_empty(&xskb->list_node). When list_del() is used to remove a node
from the xskb pool list, it doesn't reinitialize the node pointers.
This means list_empty() will return false even after the node has been
removed, causing xp_free() to incorrectly skip adding the buffer to the
free list.

Fix this by using list_del_init() instead of list_del() in all fragment
handling paths, this ensures the list node is reinitialized after removal,
allowing the list_empty() to work correctly.

f620af11c2 xsk: avoid double checking against rx queue being full
Currently non-zc xsk rx path for multi-buffer case checks twice if xsk
rx queue has enough space for producing descriptors:
1.
	if (xskq_prod_nb_free(xs->rx, num_desc) < num_desc) {
		xs->rx_queue_full++;
		return -ENOBUFS;
	}
2.
	__xsk_rcv_zc(xs, xskb, copied - meta_len, rem ? XDP_PKT_CONTD : 0);
	-> err = xskq_prod_reserve_desc(xs->rx, addr, len, flags);
	  -> if (xskq_prod_is_full(q))

Second part is redundant as in 1. we already peeked onto rx queue and
checked that there is enough space to produce given amount of
descriptors.

Provide helper functions that will skip it and therefore optimize code.

32a92f8c89 Convert more 'alloc_obj' cases to default GFP_KERNEL arguments
This converts some of the visually simpler cases that have been split
over multiple lines. I only did the ones that are easy to verify the
resulting diff by having just that final GFP_KERNEL argument on the next
line.

Somebody should probably do a proper coccinelle script for this, but for
me the trivial script actually resulted in an assertion failure in the
middle of the script. I probably had made it a bit _too_ trivial.

So after fighting that far a while I decided to just do some of the
syntactically simpler cases with variations of the previous 'sed'
scripts.

The more syntactically complex multi-line cases would mostly really want
whitespace cleanup anyway.

323bbfcf1e Convert 'alloc_flex' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This is the exact same thing as the 'alloc_obj()' version, only much
smaller because there are a lot fewer users of the *alloc_flex()
interface.

As with alloc_obj() version, this was done entirely with mindless brute
force, using the same script, except using 'flex' in the pattern rather
than 'objs*'.

bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".
