6c08feaa27 FROMLIST: arm64: mte: change ASYNC and SYNC TCF settings into bitfields
Allow the user program to specify both ASYNC and SYNC TCF modes by
repurposing the existing constants as bitfields. This will allow the
kernel to select one of the modes on behalf of the user program. With
this patch the kernel will always select async mode, but a subsequent
patch will make this configurable.

50829b8901 BACKPORT: arm64: Introduce prctl(PR_PAC_{SET,GET}_ENABLED_KEYS)
This change introduces a prctl that allows the user program to control
which PAC keys are enabled in a particular task. The main reason
why this is useful is to enable a userspace ABI that uses PAC to
sign and authenticate function pointers and other pointers exposed
outside of the function, while still allowing binaries conforming
to the ABI to interoperate with legacy binaries that do not sign or
authenticate pointers.

The idea is that a dynamic loader or early startup code would issue
this prctl very early after establishing that a process may load legacy
binaries, but before executing any PAC instructions.

This change adds a small amount of overhead to kernel entry and exit
due to additional required instruction sequences.

On a DragonBoard 845c (Cortex-A75) with the powersave governor, the
overhead of similar instruction sequences was measured as 4.9ns when
simulating the common case where IA is left enabled, or 43.7ns when
simulating the uncommon case where IA is disabled. These numbers can
be seen as the worst case scenario, since in more realistic scenarios
a better performing governor would be used and a newer chip would be
used that would support PAC unlike Cortex-A75 and would be expected
to be faster than Cortex-A75.

On an Apple M1 under a hypervisor, the overhead of the entry/exit
instruction sequences introduced by this patch was measured as 0.3ns
in the case where IA is left enabled, and 33.0ns in the case where
IA is disabled.

02bfaf0477 FROMLIST: usb: gadget: uvc: configfs: add framebased format support
As we know, The framebased format can be used to support a lot of
formats other than YUV and MJPEG, for example: H264 or H265.
And Nowadays, the H264 and H265 is used more and more compared to the
MJPEG, so there is a need to support such usecase, although the new UVC
1.5 and the UVC1.1 extensions already support H264, but they are much
more expensive and most of the time, what we need is just a channel to
stream the video frames.

In this patch, we implement the framebased format and set it to H264 by
default, and the users could change the video format as they need through
the guid configfs attribute node.

5e424f8596 ANDROID: fuse/passthrough: API V2 with __u32 open argument
The initial FUSE passthrough interface has the issue of introducing an
ioctl which receives as a parameter a data structure containing a
pointer. What happens is that, depending on the architecture, the size
of this struct might change, and especially for 32-bit userspace running
on 64-bit kernel, the size mismatch results into different a single
ioctl the behavior of which depends on the data that is passed (e.g.,
with an enum). This is just a poor ioctl design as mentioned by Arnd
Bergmann [1].

Introduce the new FUSE_PASSTHROUGH_OPEN ioctl which only gets the fd of
the lower file system, which is a fixed-size __u32, dropping the
confusing fuse_passthrough_out data structure.

b7ff0885de f2fs: move ioctl interface definitions to separated file
[ Upstream commit fa4320cefb ]

Like other filesystem does, we introduce a new file f2fs.h in path of
include/uapi/linux/, and move f2fs-specified ioctl interface definitions
to that file, after then, in order to use those definitions, userspace
developer only need to include the new header file rather than
copy & paste definitions from fs/f2fs/f2fs.h.

Dietmar Eggemann
262fd53a10 BACKPORT: sched/uclamp: Allow to reset a task uclamp constraint value
In case the user wants to stop controlling a uclamp constraint value
for a task, use the magic value -1 in sched_util_{min,max} with the
appropriate sched_flags (SCHED_FLAG_UTIL_CLAMP_{MIN,MAX}) to indicate
the reset.

The advantage over the 'additional flag' approach (i.e. introducing
SCHED_FLAG_UTIL_CLAMP_RESET) is that no additional flag has to be
exported via uapi. This avoids the need to document how this new flag
has be used in conjunction with the existing uclamp related flags.

The following subtle issue is fixed as well. When a uclamp constraint
value is set on a !user_defined uclamp_se it is currently first reset
and then set.
Fix this by AND'ing !user_defined with !SCHED_FLAG_UTIL_CLAMP which
stands for the 'sched class change' case.
The related condition 'if (uc_se->user_defined)' moved from
__setscheduler_uclamp() into uclamp_reset().

3a1c395703 net/packet: make packet_fanout.arr size configurable up to 64K
[ Upstream commit 9c661b0b85 ]

One use case of PACKET_FANOUT is lockless reception with one socket
per CPU. 256 is a practical limit on increasingly many machines.

Increase PACKET_FANOUT_MAX to 64K. Expand setsockopt PACKET_FANOUT to
take an extra argument max_num_members. Also explicitly define a
fanout_args struct, instead of implicitly casting to an integer. This
documents the API and simplifies the control flow.

If max_num_members is not specified or is set to 0, then 256 is used,
same as before.

bd8fa4ef36 tty: actually undefine superseded ASYNC flags
[ Upstream commit d09845e98a ]

Some kernel-internal ASYNC flags have been superseded by tty-port flags
and should no longer be used by kernel drivers.

Fix the misspelled "__KERNEL__" compile guards which failed their sole
purpose to break out-of-tree drivers that have not yet been updated.

Fixes: 5c0517fefc ("tty: core: Undefine ASYNC_* flags superceded by TTY_PORT* flags")

ba637773a9 usb: webcam: Invalid size of Processing Unit Descriptor
[ Upstream commit 6a154ec9ef ]

According with USB Device Class Definition for Video Device the
Processing Unit Descriptor bLength should be 12 (10 + bmControlSize),
but it has 11.

Invalid length caused that Processing Unit Descriptor Test Video form
CV tool failed. To fix this issue patch adds bmVideoStandards into
uvc_processing_unit_descriptor structure.

The bmVideoStandards field was added in UVC 1.1 and it wasn't part of
UVC 1.0a.

0493c72d6d UPSTREAM: binder: tell userspace to dump current backtrace when detected oneway spamming
When async binder buffer got exhausted, some normal oneway transactions
will also be discarded and may cause system or application failures. By
that time, the binder debug information we dump may not be relevant to
the root cause. And this issue is difficult to debug if without the
backtrace of the thread sending spam.

This change will send BR_ONEWAY_SPAM_SUSPECT to userspace when oneway
spamming is detected, request to dump current backtrace. Oneway spamming
will be reported only once when exceeding the threshold (target process
dips below 80% of its oneway space, and current process is responsible
for either more than 50 transactions, or more than 50% of the oneway
space). And the detection will restart when the async buffer has
returned to a healthy state.

fb4c1c2e9f capabilities: require CAP_SETFCAP to map uid 0
[ Upstream commit db2e718a47 ]

cap_setfcap is required to create file capabilities.

Since commit 8db6c34f1d ("Introduce v3 namespaced file capabilities"),
a process running as uid 0 but without cap_setfcap is able to work
around this as follows: unshare a new user namespace which maps parent
uid 0 into the child namespace.

While this task will not have new capabilities against the parent
namespace, there is a loophole due to the way namespaced file
capabilities are represented as xattrs. File capabilities valid in
userns 1 are distinguished from file capabilities valid in userns 2 by
the kuid which underlies uid 0. Therefore the restricted root process
can unshare a new self-mapping namespace, add a namespaced file
capability onto a file, then use that file capability in the parent
namespace.

To prevent that, do not allow mapping parent uid 0 if the process which
opened the uid_map file does not have CAP_SETFCAP, which is the
capability for setting file capabilities.

As a further wrinkle: a task can unshare its user namespace, then open
its uid_map file itself, and map (only) its own uid. In this case we do
not have the credential from before unshare, which was potentially more
restricted. So, when creating a user namespace, we record whether the
creator had CAP_SETFCAP. Then we can use that during map_write().

With this patch:

1. Unprivileged user can still unshare -Ur

   ubuntu@caps:~$ unshare -Ur
   root@caps:~# logout

2. Root user can still unshare -Ur

   ubuntu@caps:~$ sudo bash
   root@caps:/home/ubuntu# unshare -Ur
   root@caps:/home/ubuntu# logout

3. Root user without CAP_SETFCAP cannot unshare -Ur:

   root@caps:/home/ubuntu# /sbin/capsh --drop=cap_setfcap --
   root@caps:/home/ubuntu# /sbin/setcap cap_setfcap=p /sbin/setcap
unable to set CAP_SETFCAP effective capability: Operation not permitted
   root@caps:/home/ubuntu# unshare -Ur
unshare: write failed /proc/self/uid_map: Operation not permitted

Note: an alternative solution would be to allow uid 0 mappings by
processes without CAP_SETFCAP, but to prevent such a namespace from
writing any file capabilities. This approach can be seen at [1].

Background history: commit 95ebabde38 ("capabilities: Don't allow
writing ambiguous v3 file capabilities") tried to fix the issue by
preventing v3 fscaps to be written to disk when the root uid would map
to the same uid in nested user namespaces. This led to regressions for
various workloads. For example, see [2]. Ultimately this is a valid
use-case we have to support meaning we had to revert this change in
3b0c2d3eaa ("Revert 95ebabde38 ("capabilities: Don't allow writing
ambiguous v3 file capabilities")").
