Now that the SPDX tag is in all gdm724x files, that identifies the
license in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text
wording can be removed as it is no longer needed at all.
This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in
the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff
like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never
needed.

It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to
audit the kernel tree for correct licenses.
Fix up the all of the staging gdm724x files to have a proper SPDX
identifier, based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX
identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of
the full boiler plate text.

The "adjusted_mode" clock value (ie the real pixel clock) is more
accurate than "mode" clock value (ie the panel/bridge requested
clock value). It offers a better preciseness for timing
computations and allows to reduce the extra dsi bandwidth in
burst mode (from ~20% to ~10-12%, hw platform dependent).

In the quest to remove all stack VLA usage removed from the kernel[1],
just use XFRM_MAX_DEPTH as already done for the "class" array. In one
case, it'll do this loop up to 5, the other caller up to 6.

cldemote is a new instruction in future x86 processors. It hints
to hardware that a specified cache line should be moved ("demoted")
from the cache(s) closest to the processor core to a level more
distant from the processor core. This instruction is faster than
snooping to make the cache line available for other cores.
cldemote instruction is indicated by the presence of the CPUID
feature flag CLDEMOTE (CPUID.(EAX=0x7, ECX=0):ECX[bit25]).

Remove dependencies on HAS_DMA where a Kconfig symbol depends on another
symbol that implies HAS_DMA, and, optionally, on "|| COMPILE_TEST".
In most cases this other symbol is an architecture or platform specific
symbol, or PCI.
Generic symbols and drivers without platform dependencies keep their
dependencies on HAS_DMA, to prevent compiling subsystems or drivers that
cannot work anyway.
This simplifies the dependencies, and allows to improve compile-testing.

This patch adds "driver_override" device attribute for rpmsg_device which
will allow users to explicitly specify the rpmsg_driver to be used via
sysfs entry.
The "driver_override" device attribute implemented here is very similar
to "driver_override" implemented for platform, pci, and amba bus types.
One important use-case of "driver_override" device attribute is to force
use of rpmsg_chrdev driver for certain rpmsg_device instances.

Userspace class/power_supply consumers such as upower, already know some
supplies need to be polled to get up2date info. Doing this in the kernel
and then waking up userspace just causes unnecessary wakeups and i2c
transfers.

Some devices with an AXP288 PMIC do not have a battery at all, or use
external charger and fuelgauge ICs instead of the AXP288 builtin
functionality.
On such devices we should not bind to the fuelgauge function to avoid
exporting a non working power_supply class device.
This also avoids the following errors repeating over and over again in
dmesg:

For power_supply_get_drvdata() routine to work correctly the driver data
has to be provided when registering power supply, otherwise driver gives up
immediately with these errors:
power_supply main-battery: no battery infos ?!
power_supply main-battery: driver failed to report `status' property: -22

Driver bails out with -EINVAL when no polling specififaion is requested.
Fix that by verifing polling interval only if polling_mode is different
from CM_POLL_DISABLE.

The AB8540 was an evolved version of the AB8500, but it was never
mass produced or put into products, only reference designs exist.
The upstream support was never completed and it is unlikely that
this will happen so drop the support for now to simplify
maintenance of the AB8500.

The power-off call is done in a context that must be able to sleep, so
use gpiod_set_value_cansleep instead of the atomic gpiod_set_value call.
This fixes a kernel warning at shutdown when the gpio is controlled
through an IO expander for example.

The SMM freeze feature was introduced since PerfMon V2. But the current
code unconditionally enables the feature for all platforms. It can
generate #GP exception, if the related FREEZE_WHILE_SMM bit is set for
the machine with PerfMon V1.
To disable the feature for PerfMon V1, perf needs to
- Remove the freeze_on_smi sysfs entry by moving intel_pmu_attrs to
intel_pmu, which is only applied to PerfMon V2 and later.
- Check the PerfMon version before flipping the SMM bit when starting CPU

This series represents yet another phase of the macvlan cleanup Alex has
been working on.
The main goal of these changes is to make it so that we only support
offloading what we can actually offload and we don't break any existing
functionality. So for example we were claiming to advertise source mode
macvlan and we were doing nothing of the sort, so support for that has been
dropped.
The biggest change with this set is that broadcast/multicast replication is
no longer being supported in software. Alex dropped it as it leads to
scaling issues when a broadcast frame has to be replicated up to 64 times.
Beyond that this set goes through and optimized the time needed to bring up
and tear down the macvlan interfaces on ixgbe and provides a clean way for
us to disable the macvlan offload when needed.

We're currently failing to reset everything in display_info.hdmi
which will potentially cause us to use stale information when
swapping monitors. Eg. if the user replaces a HDMI 2.0 monitor
with a HDMI 1.x monitor we will continue to think that the monitor
supports scrambling. That will lead to a black screen since the
HDMI 1.x monitor won't understand the scrambled signal.
Fix the problem by clearing display_info.hdmi fully. And while at
eliminate some duplicated code by calling drm_reset_display_info()
in drm_add_display_info().

Wait until we have enough space in the virt queue to actually queue up
our request. Avoids the guest spinning in case we have a non-zero
amount of free entries but not enough for the request.

qxl expects that list_first_entry(release->bos) returns the first
element qxl added to the list. ttm_eu_reserve_buffers() may reorder
the list though.
Add a release_bo field to struct qxl_release and use that instead.

The reverted commit broke LVDS output on TBS A711 Tablet. That tablet
has simple-panel node that has fixed pixel clock-frequency that A83T
SoC used in the tablet can't generate exactly.
Requested rate is 52000000 and rounded_rate is calculated as 51857142.
It's close enough for it to work in practice, but with strict check
in the reverted commit, the mode is rejected needlessly in this case.
DT allows to specify a range of values for simple-panel/clock-frequency,
but driver doesn't respect that ATM. Given that TBS A711 is the single
user of sun4i-lvds driver, let's revert that commit for now, until
a better solution for the problem is found.
