Firstly, fix the distribution between public and private headers.
Otherwise, some of the already public macros wouldn't actually work, and
the SNDRV_EMU10K1_IOCTL_DBG_READ result for Audigy would be useless.
Secondly, add condition code registers for Audigy. These are just
aliases for selected constant registers, and thus are generation-
specific. At least A_CC_REG_ZERO is actually correct ...
Finally, shuffle around some defines to more logical places while at it,
and fix up some more comments.

Firstly, remove the FXWC_* defines - the comment on FXWC implies that
the relevant defines are the (A_)EXTOUT_* ones. It's unclear where this
came from - it was in the initial ALSA import, but neither the driver
from Creative nor kX-project have these defines.
Secondly, remove A_HR, which made plain no sense (was unused, and
clashed with FXRT). Amends commit cbb7d8f9b7 ("emu10k1: Update
registers defines for the Audigy 2/emu10k2.5").

The CXL subsystem is adding formal mechanisms for managing device
poison. Minimize the maintenance burden going forward, and maximize
the investment in common tooling by deprecating direct user access
to poison commands outside of CXL_MEM_RAW_COMMANDS debug scenarios.
A new cxl_deprecated_commands[] list is created for querying which
command ids defined in previous kernels are now deprecated.
CXL Media and Poison Management commands, opcodes 0x43XX, defined in
CXL 3.0 Spec, Table 8-93 are deprecated with one exception: Get Scan
Media Capabilities. Keep Get Scan Media Capabilities as it simply
provides information and has no impact on the device state.
Effectively all of the commands defined in:
commit 87815ee9d0 ("cxl/pci: Add media provisioning required commands")
...were defined prematurely and should have waited until the kernel
implementation was decided. To my knowledge there are no shipping
devices with poison support and no known tools that would regress with
this change.

If check_bugs_early() is not inlined, which a compiler is free to do
after commit ac7c3e4ff4 ("compiler: enable CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING
forcibly"), modpost would warn that check_bugs_early(), a non-init
function, refers to check_bugs64_early(), which is marked __init. This
would not result in any run time issues, as check_bugs_early() is only
called from setup_arch(), which is marked __init.
To avoid this potential warning, just sink the body of
check_bugs_early() into its single call site in setup_arch().

After commit ac7c3e4ff4 ("compiler: enable CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING
forcibly"), a compiler may choose not to inline a function marked with
just 'inline'. If check_bugs() is not inlined into start_kernel(), which
occurs when building with clang after commit 9ea7e6b62c ("init: Mark
[arch_call_]rest_init() __noreturn"), modpost complains with:
WARNING: modpost: vmlinux.o: section mismatch in reference: check_bugs (section: .text) -> check_bugs32 (section: .init.text)
check_bugs() is only called from start_kernel(), which itself is marked
__init, so there would not be any issues at run time. Make it obvious to
modpost that this call chain is safe by marking check_bugs() as __init,
which fixes the warning.

Not all endpoint CXL ports are associated with PCI devices. The cxl_test
infrastructure models 'struct cxl_port' instances hosted by platform
devices. Teach read_cdat_data() to be careful about non-pci hosted

Unlike the Alice2 chips used on 1st generation E-MU cards, the
Tina/Tina2 chips used on the 2nd gen cards have only six GPIN pins,
which means that we need to use a smaller mask. Failure to do so would
falsify the read data if the FPGA tried to raise an IRQ right at that
moment. This wasn't a problem so far, as we didn't actually enable FPGA
IRQs, but that's going to change soon.

If the rxrpc call set up by afs_make_call() receives an error whilst it is
transmitting the request, there's the possibility that it may get to the
point the rxrpc call is ended (after the error_kill_call label) just as the
call is queued for async processing.
This could manifest itself as call->rxcall being seen as NULL in
afs_deliver_to_call() when it tries to lock the call.
Fix this by splitting rxrpc_kernel_end_call() into a function to shut down
an rxrpc call and a function to release the caller's reference and calling
the latter only when we get to afs_put_call().

When setting the timeout for the menz069_wdt watchdog driver, we
erroneously read from the 'watchdog value register' (WVR) instead of the
'watchdog timer register' (WTR) and then write the value back into WTR.
This can potentially lead to wrong timeouts and wrong enable bit settings.

Doing a 'cat /dev/watchdog0' with menz069_wdt as watchdog0 will result in
a NULL pointer dereference.
This happens because we're passing the wrong pointer to
watchdog_register_device(). Fix this by getting rid of the static
watchdog_device structure and use the one embedded into the driver's
per-instance private data.

through different trees. Merge them into one:

2. Use more descriptive property descriptions and constraints from

Like commit ea30388bae ("ipv6: Fix an uninit variable access bug in
__ip6_make_skb()"). icmphdr does not in skb linear region under the
scenario of SOCK_RAW socket. Access icmp_hdr(skb)->type directly will
trigger the uninit variable access bug.
Use a local variable icmp_type to carry the correct value in different
scenarios.

If potentially no valid element is found, 'p' would contain an invalid
pointer past the iterator loop. To ensure 'p' is valid under any
circumstances, the kfree() should be within the loop body.
Additionally, Linus proposed to avoid any use of the list iterator
variable after the loop, in the attempt to move the list iterator
variable declaration into the macro to avoid any potential misuse after
the loop [1].

The watchdog countdown is supposed to begin when the device file is
opened. Instead, it would begin countdown upon the first write to or
close of the device file. Now, the ping operation is called within the
start operation which ensures the countdown begins. From experimenation,
it does not appear possible to do this with a single write including
both the start bit and the trigger bit. So, it is done as two distinct
writes.

Ralink RT2880 Watchdog bindings used text format, so migrate them to YAML.
There are some additions to the binding that were not in the original
txt file. This binding is used in RT2880, RT3050, RT3352, RT3883, RT5350,
and MT7620 SoCs. To properly align binding with driver code we need to add
to the schema 'clocks' and 'resets' properties.

Instead of declare 'reg' variable in read and write operations as a bare
'unsigned' type prefer to declate it as 'unsigned int'.
