This patch introduces support for the Cadence USBSSP (cdnsp)
controller in hardware configurations where the Dual-Role Device (DRD)
register block is not implemented or is inaccessible.
In such cases, the driver cannot rely on the DRD logic to manage roles
and must operate exclusively in a fixed peripheral/host mode.
The change in BAR indexing (from BAR 2 to BAR 1) is a direct
consequence of the 32-bit addressing used in this specific
DRD-disabled hardware layout, compared to the 64-bit addressing
used in DRD-enabled configurations.
Tested on a PCI platform with a hardware configuration that lacks
DRD support. Platform-side changes are included to support the PCI
glue layer's property injection to handle this specific layout.

Expose Cadence USBSSP through the same platform path as USBSS, trim
Kconfig and Makefile: one core loadable object plus separate glue .ko
files.
Single cdns.ko bundles core, DRD, the generic "cdns,usb3" platform
driver in cdns3-plat.c, optional host.o, and optional gadget objects.
Use CONFIG_USB_CDNS3_GADGET as a bool to compile gadget support into
that module. Remove duplicate MODULE_* declarations from cdns3-plat.c
now that it links into the same module.
Kconfig: the generic platform driver is selected via CONFIG_USB_CDNS3.
Move CONFIG_USB_CDNSP_PCI beside CONFIG_USB_CDNS3_PCI_WRAP under
"Platform glue driver support". SoC glue entries (TI, i.MX, StarFive)
depend only on CONFIG_USB_CDNS3.
Tighten CONFIG_USB_CDNS_SUPPORT dependencies so the umbrella follows
host or gadget when either is built as a module. Match host and gadget
bools to the cdns.ko tristate with USB=USB_CDNS3 and USB_GADGET=USB_CDNS3
instead of comparing against USB_CDNS_SUPPORT.
Link host.o when CONFIG_USB_CDNS3_HOST is enabled and use that symbol in
host-export.h, removing the redundant CONFIG_USB_CDNS_HOST indirection.
Export cdns_core_init_role and reorganize the function cdns_init, and
controller version could be gotten before the gadget init function is
decided per controller.
Keep host_init / gadget_init callbacks in struct cdns, so core.c does
not need direct linkage to host or gadget objects. Refactor cdnsp-pci.c
into a thin PCI-to-platform wrapper.
drivers/usb/Makefile: descend into drivers/usb/cdns3/ only when
CONFIG_USB_CDNS_SUPPORT is enabled.

In very rare cases after resuming controller from L1 to L0 it reads
registers before the clock UTMI have been enabled and as the result
driver reads incorrect value.
Most of registers are in APB domain clock but some of them (e.g. PORTSC)
are in UTMI domain clock.
After entering to L1 state the UTMI clock can be disabled.
When controller transition from L1 to L0 the port status change event is
reported and in interrupt runtime function driver reads PORTSC.
During this read operation controller synchronize UTMI and APB domain
but UTMI clock is still disabled and in result it reads 0xFFFFFFFF value.
To fix this issue driver increases APB timeout value.
The issue is platform specific and if the default value of APB timeout
is not sufficient then this time should be set Individually for each
platform.

The cdns_role_driver->resume() callback takes a second boolean argument
named `hibernated` in its implementations. This is mistaken; the only
potential caller is:
int cdns_resume(struct cdns *cdns)
{
/* ... */
if (cdns->roles[cdns->role]->resume)
cdns->roles[cdns->role]->resume(cdns, cdns_power_is_lost(cdns));
return 0;
}
The argument can be true in cases outside of return from hibernation.
Reflect the true meaning by renaming both arguments to `lost_power`.

This patch introduces the main part of Cadence USBSSP DRD driver
to Linux kernel.
To reduce the patch size a little bit, the header file gadget.h was
intentionally added as separate patch.
The Cadence USBSSP DRD Controller is a highly configurable IP Core which
can be instantiated as Dual-Role Device (DRD), Peripheral Only and
Host Only (XHCI)configurations.
The current driver has been validated with FPGA platform. We have
support for PCIe bus, which is used on FPGA prototyping.
The host side of USBSS DRD controller is compliant with XHCI.
The architecture for device side is almost the same as for host side,
and most of the XHCI specification can be used to understand how
this controller operates.

Patch change the functions and objects names in reusable code.
The reusable code includes core.c, core.h, drd.c and drd.h files.
It also changes the names of all references to these functions and
objects in other cdns3 files. There are a lot of changes, but all
changes are very trivial.
The reason of this patch is to avoid of mixing prefix cdns3 and cdnsp in
in cdnsp driver what could introduce some confusion in understanding
of cdnsp driver.
This patch assumes to use three different prefixes in Cadence
USB drivers:
cdns: for common reusable code
cdnsp: for names related only with cdnsp driver
cdns3: for names related only with cdns3 driver

USB2.0 PHY hangs in Rx Compliance test when the incoming packet
amplitude is varied below and above the Squelch Level of
Receiver during the active packet multiple times.
Version 1 of the controller allows PHY to be reset when RX fail condition
is detected to work around the above issue. This feature is
disabled by default and needs to be enabled using a bit from
the newly added PHYRST_CFG register. This patch enables the workaround.
There is no way to know controller version before device controller
is started and the workaround needs to be applied for both host and
device modes, so we rely on a DT property do decide when to
apply the workaround.

Introduce runtime PM and wakeup interrupt handler for cdns3,
the runtime PM is default off since other cdns3 may not
implement glue layer support for runtime PM.
One typical wakeup event use case is xHCI runtime suspend will clear
USBCMD.RS bit, after that the xHCI will not trigger any interrupts,
so its parent (cdns core device) needs to resume xHCI device when
any (wakeup) events occurs at host port.
When the controller is in low power mode, the lpm flag will be set.
The interrupt triggered later than lpm flag is set considers as
wakeup interrupt and handled at cdns_wakeup_irq. Once the wakeup
occurs, it first disables interrupt to avoid later interrupt
occurrence since the controller is in low power mode at that
time, and access registers may be invalid at that time. At wakeup
handler, it will call pm_request_resume to wakeup xHCI device, and
at runtime resume handler, it will enable interrupt again.
The API platform_suspend is introduced for glue layer to implement
platform specific PM sequence.

- Based on SoC: ID and VBUS
- Based on external connnctor, eg, Type-C or GPIO Connector
- Based on user choices through sysfs
Since HW handling and usb-role-switch handling are at
different places, we do not need role_override any more,
and this flag could not judge external connector case well.
