18313833e2 RDMA/cma: Fix hardware address comparison length in netevent callback
The cited commit hardcoded the hardware address comparison len to ETH_ALEN.

This breaks IPoIB, which uses 20-byte addresses. By truncating the
memcmp, the CMA may incorrectly assume the target address is
unchanged and fails to abort the stalled connection.

Fix this by replacing ETH_ALEN with the dynamic neigh->dev->addr_len
to correctly evaluate the full address regardless of the link layer.

d2e52d610b IB/mad: Drop unmatched RMPP responses before reassembly
Kernel-handled RMPP receive processing starts reassembly for active
DATA responses before the response is matched to an outstanding send.
The normal match happens later, after ib_process_rmpp_recv_wc() has
either assembled a complete message or consumed the segment.

That ordering lets an unsolicited response that routes to a kernel
RMPP agent by the high TID bits allocate or extend RMPP receive state
before the full TID and source address are checked against a real
request. A reordered burst can therefore reach the receive-side
insertion path even though the response would not match any send.

For kernel-handled RMPP DATA responses, require the existing
ib_find_send_mad() match before entering RMPP reassembly. The matcher
already checks the full TID, management class and source address/GID
against the agent wait, backlog and in-flight send lists. If there is
no match, drop the response without creating RMPP state.

This leaves the RMPP window behavior unchanged and only rejects
responses that have no corresponding request.

ddbc251be1 RDMA/core: Add ib_frmr_pool_drop for unrecoverable handles
A driver that has popped a handle from an FRMR pool can hit failures
that leave the handle in a state where it can't safely be returned
for reuse. The driver destroys the handle itself, but the pool has
no way to learn about it, so the in_use counter drifts upward.

Add ib_frmr_pool_drop to balance the pool's accounting in this case.
Every pop is now balanced by exactly one push or drop.

c6936506ed RDMA/core: Fix FRMR aging push to queue error flow
Aging pools with pinned handles requires moving handles from the
active queue to a non-empty inactive queue that might fail on new page
allocation, we are currently not handling the fault and leaking any mkey
that fails the push.

Fix by Introducing push_queue_to_queue_locked() that fills the
destination's partial tail page from the source and then splices the
remaining source pages onto the destination, performing no allocation.

Replace the per-handle move loop in age_pinned_pool() and the
open-coded splice in pool_aging_work() with calls to the helper.
As the helper cannot fail under memory pressure, removing a class of
GFP_ATOMIC allocations under the pool lock and simplifying the error
flow.

8b0c66fa05 IB/core: Delegate IB_QP_RATE_LIMIT validation to drivers
Remove IB_QP_RATE_LIMIT from the qp_state_table and instead
pass it through ib_modify_qp_is_ok() unconditionally. This
delegates rate limit attribute validation to the individual
drivers that support it.

As rate limit support expands to additional QP types and transitions
across different vendors, centralizing this policy in the core becomes
impractical. Each driver is better positioned to enforce its own
supported QP types and transitions over non-standard attributes.

Future support for non-standard attributes will be handled per vendor
driver instead of in generic IB core qp_state_table.

942cd47faa RDMA/core: Fix broadcast address falsely detected as local
When rdma_resolve_addr() is invoked with a broadcast destination on an
IPoIB interface, is_dst_local() inspects the resolved route and
incorrectly concludes that the address is local. As a result, the
resolution fails with -ENODEV.
The issue stems from using '&' to compare rt_type with RTN_LOCAL. The
RTN_* values form a sequential enum, not a bitmask (RTN_LOCAL=2,
RTN_BROADCAST=3). Thus, "rt_type & RTN_LOCAL" yields a non-zero result
for a broadcast route as well.

Replace '&' with '==' when comparing rt_type against RTN_LOCAL.

50d5c02ab8 RDMA/nldev: Fix locking when accessing mr->pd
Sashiko points out that, due to rereg_mr, the PD is actually variable and
all the touches in nldev are racy.

Use mr->device instead of mr->pd->device.

Getting the PD restrack ID is more tricky. To avoid disturbing all the
happy paths, add an rdma_restrack_sync() operation which is sort of like

badad6fad6 RDMA: During rereg_mr ensure that REREG_ACCESS is compatible
If IB_MR_REREG_ACCESS changes from RO to RW then the umem has to be

9b2207bc5c IB/cm: Fix av cm device leak on an error path in cm_init_av_by_path()
Codex pointed out that cm_init_av_by_path() can call cm_set_av_port()
which takes a reference on the cm device, but then can immediately return
error if ib_init_ah_attr_from_path() fails.

Since callers like ib_send_cm_req() put the av on the stack this leaks
that cm device reference.

Re-order cm_init_av_by_path() so it doesn't touch the av until it has done
all its failable work, and then update the av in one shot so it is either
left alone or fully init'd.

Sashiko also pointed out that the cm_destroy_av() prior to
cm_init_av_by_path() is harmful as it leaves the AV broken in the error
case and thus the REJ won't send. Since cm_init_av_by_path() is now atomic
it is safe to delete the cm_destroy_av(). On succees the av from
cm_init_av_for_response() is cleaned up by cm_init_av_by_path(), on
failure the 'goto rejected' guarentees the av is destroyed during
ib_destroy_cm_id().

bad4e98893 RDMA: Update the query_device() op
This op hasn't followed the normal pattern of passing NULL for udata when
invoked by the kernel. Instead the kernel caller creates a dummy ib_udata

but this flow should be modernized to use the new API flow and in the

Only mlx4 uses an input request structure, have every other driver call

The cpu_id attribute supplied by user space through

Passing such untrusted data to cpumask_test_cpu() may lead to an

no bound check.

In addition, on kernels built with CONFIG_DEBUG_PER_CPU_MAPS it trips

3b6384dac1 RDMA/umem: Block plain userspace memory registration under CoCo bounce
When a device requires DMA bounce buffering inside a Confidential
Computing guest, __ib_umem_get_va() cannot work. The DMA mapping layer
redirects all mappings through swiotlb bounce buffers, so the device
receives DMA addresses pointing to bounce buffer memory rather than the
user's pages. Since RDMA devices access registered memory directly without
CPU involvement, there is no opportunity for swiotlb to synchronize
between the bounce buffer and the original pages.

The registration would already fail later on, since the umem mapping is
requested with DMA_ATTR_REQUIRE_COHERENT and gets rejected under
is_swiotlb_force_bounce() with -EIO. Fail early with -EOPNOTSUPP instead,
so the user gets a specific error code to react to.

  when the two rings live in physically distinct user
  allocations and must be pinned and addressed separately.

Existing drivers would map their current umems as follows:

- mlx5: BUF for normal QPs (one ucmd->buf_addr covers SQ+RQ);
  for IB_QPT_RAW_PACKET and IB_QP_CREATE_SOURCE_QPN, the RQ
  side comes from ucmd->buf_addr (RQ-sized) via RQ_BUF and
  the SQ from ucmd->sq_buf_addr via SQ_BUF.
- mlx4: BUF, single ucmd.buf_addr covering SQ+RQ.
- hns: BUF, single ucmd.buf_addr covering SQ + ext-SGE + RQ.
- erdma: BUF, single ureq.qbuf_va sliced by the kernel into
  SQ at offset 0 and RQ at rq_offset.
- bnxt_re: SQ_BUF (ureq->qpsva) + RQ_BUF (ureq->qprva, the
  RQ side is skipped when the QP uses an SRQ).
- vmw_pvrdma: SQ_BUF (sbuf_addr) + RQ_BUF (rbuf_addr, the RQ
  side is skipped when the QP uses an SRQ).
- qedr: SQ_BUF (sq_addr) + RQ_BUF (rq_addr) for whichever
  side the QP type actually has (no SQ for XRC_TGT/GSI; no
  RQ for XRC_INI/XRC_TGT/SRQ).
- ionic: SQ_BUF (req.sq.addr) + RQ_BUF (req.rq.addr); both
  are skipped when the rings are placed in CMB instead of
  host memory.
- mana: raw-packet QP uses SQ_BUF (sq_buf_addr) only; the RC
  path uses multiple per-queue user buffers (ucmd.queue_buf[])
  that do not fit the SQ/RQ pair semantics of these attrs and
  stays on the legacy UHW path.
- efa, irdma, hfi1, ocrdma, mthca, cxgb4 and usnic do not pin
  a QP WQE buffer via umem; none of these attributes apply.

Extract the UVERBS_ATTR_CREATE_CQ_BUFFER_* parser from the CQ

b86fd95805 RDMA/counter: Fix incorrect port index in rdma_counter_init() error cleanup
The error cleanup loop in rdma_counter_init() iterates with variable

4fbc823000 RDMA/counter: Fix num_counters leak on bind_qp failure in alloc_and_bind()
When __rdma_counter_bind_qp() fails in alloc_and_bind(), the error path
jumps to err_mode which frees the counter without decrementing
port_counter->num_counters. The only place that decrements is
rdma_counter_free(), which is unreachable since the counter was never
successfully bound.

This leak accumulates across repeated failures, permanently preventing
the port from switching to AUTO mode (-EBUSY in __counter_set_mode())
and blocking the MANUAL→NONE auto-revert in rdma_counter_free(). When
the mode was NONE before the call, the MANUAL mode set by
__counter_set_mode() also leaks since the revert logic is never
reached.

Add an err_bind label between the num_counters increment and the
existing err_mode label. It decrements num_counters and mirrors the
MANUAL→NONE revert from rdma_counter_free(), ensuring the port state
is fully restored on bind failure.

1f3b337af2 RDMA/core: Fix rereg_mr use-after-free race
When a driver creates a new MR during rereg_user_mr, a race window
exists between rdma_alloc_commit_uobject() for the new MR and the point
where the code reads that MR to populate the response keys.

A concurrent rereg_mr or destroy_mr could destroy the MR in this window
and cause UAF in the first thread.

Racing flow between two rereg_mr calls:

610771c62e IB/core: Fix IPv6 netlink message size in ib_nl_ip_send_msg()
When resolving an RDMA-CM IPv6 address, ib_nl_ip_send_msg() sends a
netlink request to the userspace daemon to perform IP-to-GID
resolution in certain cases. The function allocates the netlink message
buffer using nla_total_size(sizeof(size)), which passes 8 bytes (the
size of size_t) instead of 16 bytes (the size of an IPv6 address).
This results in an 8-byte under-allocation.

This is currently masked by nlmsg_new() over-allocation of the skb
in its internal logic. However, the code remains incorrect.

Fix the issue by supplying the proper IPv6 address length to
nla_total_size().

Pull rdma updates from Jason Gunthorpe:
 "The usual collection of driver changes, more core infrastructure
  updates that typical this cycle:

   - Minor cleanups and kernel-doc fixes in bnxt_re, hns, rdmavt, efa,
     ocrdma, erdma, rtrs, hfi1, ionic, and pvrdma

   - New udata validation framework and driver updates

   - Modernize CQ creation interface in mlx4 and mlx5, manage CQ umem in
     core

   - Promote UMEM to a core component, split out DMA block iterator
     logic

   - Introduce FRMR pools with aging, statistics, pinned handles, and
     netlink control and use it in mlx5

   - Add PCIe TLP emulation support in mlx5

   - Extend umem to work with revocable pinned dmabuf's and use it in
     irdma

   - More net namespace improvements for rxe

   - GEN4 hardware support in irdma

   - First steps to MW and UC support in mana_ib

   - Support for CQ umem and doorbells in bnxt_re

   - Drop opa_vnic driver from hfi1

  Fixes:

   - IB/core zero dmac neighbor resolution race

   - GID table memory free

   - rxe pad/ICRC validation and r_key async errors

   - mlx4 external umem for CQ

   - umem DMA attributes on unmap

   - mana_ib RX steering on RSS QP destroy"

Michael Margolin
9091e3b59f RDMA/core: Fix user CQ creation for drivers without create_cq
CQ creation is failing for drivers that only implement create_user_cq
(e.g. EFA), when buffer isn't provided by userspace. This because of a
leftover check that requires create_cq existence in such case.

Remove the create_cq existence check from the no-buffer path. The
buffer is optional and drivers that handle their own memory should work
through create_user_cq regardless.
