When two commands enter aie2_sched_job_timedout() concurrently, both
check the timeout detection state. The first scheduler thread observes
tdr_status as SIGNALED and updates it to WAIT. The second thread then
observes the updated state instead of the original SIGNALED state, which
may cause the command timeout to be handled incorrectly.
Replace tdr_status with last_signal_ts, which records the timestamp of
the last driver signal. Timeout detection now only reads
last_signal_ts and never modifies it, allowing multiple serialized
detect() calls under dev_lock to evaluate the same signal timestamp
independently. If there is not any new job scheduled or completed
within tdr_timeout_ms, the command will timeout.

amdxdna_cmd_submit() stores current->mm in job->mm without holding any
reference. aie2_sched_job_run() later access job->mm from the DRM
scheduler worker thread. With only a raw pointer and no structural
reference, the mm_struct can be freed before the scheduler runs the job.
Fix this by calling mmgrab() to hold a structural mm_count reference for
the lifetime of the job, paired with mmdrop() in every cleanup path.

amdxdna_cmd_submit() calls xdna->dev_info->ops->cmd_submit()
unconditionally, but only aie2_dev_ops defines that callback.
aie4_vf_ops (the AIE4 SR-IOV virtual function) does not, so a user
AMDXDNA_EXEC_CMD ioctl on an AIE4 device reaches a NULL function-pointer

amdxdna_drm_submit_execbuf() passes the user-supplied command BO handle
straight into amdxdna_cmd_submit() with drv_cmd == NULL. When the handle
is AMDXDNA_INVALID_BO_HANDLE (0), the block that fetches job->cmd_bo is
skipped, leaving it NULL, and no check rejects it on the user path (the
!job->cmd_bo guard lives inside the != INVALID branch).
The job is then armed and pushed to the DRM scheduler.
aie2_sched_job_run() takes the drv_cmd == NULL path and calls
amdxdna_cmd_set_state(job->cmd_bo) -> amdxdna_gem_vmap(NULL) ->
to_gobj(NULL)->dev, a NULL pointer dereference in the drm_sched worker.
A process with access to the accel node on a system with a probed AMD NPU
can trigger a kernel oops with a single AMDXDNA_EXEC_CMD ioctl
(cmd_handles = 0).
Only internal driver commands (SYNC_DEBUG_BO / ATTACH_DEBUG_BO)
legitimately pass AMDXDNA_INVALID_BO_HANDLE, and they always set drv_cmd.
Reject the invalid handle for user submissions (drv_cmd == NULL) at the
submit choke point so every user path is covered.

When vm_insert_pages() fails, the error path calls vma->vm_ops->close(vma)
which internally calls drm_gem_vm_close() → drm_gem_object_put(),
releasing the GEM object reference acquired at the start of the function.
However, the close_vma label then falls through to put_obj, which calls
drm_gem_object_put() a second time on the same object.
If the first put releases the last reference, the object is freed and the
second put accesses freed memory, causing a use-after-free.

amdxdna_drm_sync_bo_ioctl() looks up args->handle in the ioctl caller's
drm_file. For SYNC_DIRECT_FROM_DEVICE, it then calls
amdxdna_hwctx_sync_debug_bo(), but passes abo->client.
amdxdna_hwctx_sync_debug_bo() uses the passed client both as the handle
namespace for debug_bo_hdl and as the owner of the hardware context xarray.
Those must match the file that supplied args->handle. The BO's stored
client pointer is object state, not the ioctl context.
Pass filp->driver_priv instead, matching the original handle lookup.

Add support for querying device metadata on AIE4 via a mailbox message.
Refactor aie2_get_aie_metadata() into a common helper by moving it to
aie.c and renaming it to amdxdna_get_metadata(), allowing both AIE2
and AIE4 to reuse the implementation.

Expose the command doorbell register to userspace on a per-hardware
context basis, enabling applications to notify the firmware of pending
commands via doorbell writes.
Introduce DRM_IOCTL_AMDXDNA_WAIT_CMD to allow userspace to wait for
completion of individual commands.

The firmware is told the buffer is req.buf_size bytes. It may read/write
the entire region. If the CPU only flushes a subset, the remaining cache
lines could contain stale data, causing the device to see garbage.

Add support for allocating buffers from reserved carveout memory when
IOMMU is not available. This is useful during debugging or bring-up.
In this configuration, the device uses physical addresses and does
not support scatter-gather lists, requiring physically contiguous
buffers.
Implement carveout-backed allocation and integrate it into buffer
management to support operation in physical address mode.

The QoS request provided when creating a hardware context is currently
ignored when operating in temporal-only mode. Change this to use resource
allocation through xrs_allocate_resource(), which sets the default DPM
level according to the QoS request.
When multiple hardware contexts are active, track their required DPM
levels and set the default DPM level to the highest among them.

Add more trace coverage to amdxdna job handling and mailbox receive
processing to make driver execution easier to debug.
Extend the xdna_job trace event to record the command opcode in
addition to the job sequence number. Use the enhanced tracepoint in
the job run, sent-to-device, signaled-fence, and job-free paths so
that trace output can be correlated with the command being executed.
Also add debug-point tracing when a command is received through the
submit ioctl path, and add a trace event when the mailbox RX worker
runs.
These changes improve visibility into job lifetime transitions and
mailbox activity, which helps debug command flow and scheduler issues.

Add support for querying the device revision from firmware.
Use the returned revision to look up the VBNV string during device
initialization, and fall back to the default VBNV when the revision
query is not supported or no mapping is found.
This allows the driver to report the accurate VBNV for devices that
share the same vendor/device ID but differ by hardware revision.
