a61eefaccf Don't export format_by_forcc on two different drivers
commit a757ee2216 upstream.

Drivers should append their name on exported symbols, to avoid
conflicts with allyesconfig:

drivers/staging/built-in.o: In function `format_by_fourcc':
/home/v4l/work_trees/linus/drivers/staging/cx25821/cx25821-video.c:96: multiple definition of `format_by_fourcc'
drivers/media/built-in.o:/home/v4l/work_trees/linus/drivers/media/common/saa7146_video.c:88: first defined here

Let's rename both occurences with a small shellscript:

for i in drivers/staging/cx25821/*.[ch]; do sed s,format_by_fourcc,cx25821_format_by_fourcc,g <$i >a && mv a $i; done
for i in drivers/media/common/saa7146*.[ch]; do sed s,format_by_fourcc,saa7146_format_by_fourcc,g <$i >a && mv a $i; done
for i in include/media/saa7146*.[ch]; do sed s,format_by_fourcc,saa7146_format_by_fourcc,g <$i >a && mv a $i; done

5545554aac lowmemorykiller: don't unregister notifier from atomic context
The lowmemorykiller registers an atomic notifier for notfication of when
the task is freed. From this atomic notifier callback, it removes the
atomic notifier via task_free_unregister(). This is incorrect because
atomic_notifier_chain_unregister() calls syncronize_rcu(), which can
sleep, which shouldn't be done from an atomic notifier.

Fix this by registering the notifier during init, and only unregister it
if the lowmemorykiller is unloaded.

fc359f622b Staging: batman-adv: ensure that eth_type_trans gets linear memory
commit b6faaae1a1 upstream.

eth_type_trans tries to pull data with the length of the ethernet header
from the skb. We only ensured that enough data for the first ethernet
header and the batman header is available in non-paged memory of the skb
and not for the ethernet after the batman header.

eth_type_trans would fail sometimes with drivers which don't ensure that
all there data is perfectly linearised.

The failure was noticed through a kernel bug Oops generated by the
skb_pull inside eth_type_trans.

044504aeac staging: usbip: Process event flags without delay
commit 584c5b7cf0 upstream.

The way the event handler works can cause it to delay
events until eventual wakeup for another event.

For example, on device detach (vhci):

 - Write to sysfs detach file
    -> usbip_event_add(VDEV_EVENT_DOWN)
      -> wakeup()

#define VDEV_EVENT_DOWN (USBIP_EH_SHUTDOWN | USBIP_EH_RESET).

 - Event thread wakes up and passes the event to
   event_handler() to process.

 - It processes and clears the USBIP_EH_SHUTDOWN
   flag then returns.

 - The outer event loop (event_handler_loop()) calls
   wait_event_interruptible().

The processing of the second flag which is part of
VDEV_EVENT_DOWN (USBIP_EH_RESET) did not happen yet.
It is delayed until the next event.

This means the ->reset callback may not happen for
a long time (if ever), leaving the usbip port in a
weird state which prevents its reuse.

This patch changes the handler to process all flags
before waiting for another wakeup.

I have verified this change to fix a problem which
prevented reattach of a usbip device. It also helps
for socket errors which missed the RESET as well.

The delayed event processing also affects the stub
side of usbip and the error handling there.

9f69ebbf40 binder: Fix memory corruption via page aliasing
binder_deferred_release was not unmapping the page from the buffer
before freeing it, causing memory corruption. This only happened
when page(s) had not been freed by binder_update_page_range, which
properly unmaps the pages.

This only happens on architectures with VIPT aliasing.

To reproduce, create a program which opens, mmaps, munmaps, then closes
the binder very quickly. This should leave a page allocated when the
binder is released. When binder_deferrred_release is called on the
close, the page will remain mapped to the address in the linear
proc->buffer. Later, we may map the same physical page to a different
virtual address that has different coloring, and this may cause
aliasing to occur.

PAGE_POISONING will greatly increase your chances of noticing any
problems.

fdcec72817 lowmemorykiller: Don't try to kill the same pid over and over
Under certain circumstances, a process can take awhile to
handle a sig-kill (especially if it's in a scheduler group with
a very low share ratio). When this occurs, lowmemkiller returns
to vmscan indicating the process memory has been freed - even
though the process is still waiting to die. Since the memory
hasn't actually freed, lowmemkiller is called again shortly after,
and picks the same process to die; regardless of the fact that
it has already been 'scheduled' to die and the memory has already
been reported to vmscan as having been freed.

  Solution is to check fatal_signal_pending() on the selected
task, and if it's already pending destruction return; indicating
to vmscan that no resources were freed on this pass.

d3654cd29e Staging: ti-st: remove st_get_plat_device
In order to support multiple ST platform devices, a new symbol
'st_get_plat_device' earlier needed to be exported by the arch/XX/brd-XX.c

On removing this dependency, now inside ST driver maintain the array of
ST platform devices that would be registered.
As of now let id=0, as and when we end up having such platforms
where mutliple ST devices can exist, id would come from
protocol drivers (BT, FM and GPS) as to on which platform device
they want to register to.

dd173abfea Staging: vt6655: fix buffer overflow
"param->u.wpa_associate.wpa_ie_len" comes from the user. We should
check it so that the copy_from_user() doesn't overflow the buffer.

Also further down in the function, we assume that if
"param->u.wpa_associate.wpa_ie_len" is set then "abyWPAIE[0]" is
initialized. To make that work, I changed the test here to say that if
"wpa_ie_len" is set then "wpa_ie" has to be a valid pointer or we return
-EINVAL.

Oddly, we only use the first element of the abyWPAIE[] array. So I
suspect there may be some other issues in this function.

350aede603 Revert: "Staging: batman-adv: Adding netfilter-bridge hooks"
This reverts commit 96d592ed59.

The netfilter hook seems to be misused and may leak skbs in situations
when NF_HOOK returns NF_STOLEN. It may not filter everything as
expected. Also the ethernet bridge tables are not yet capable to
understand batman-adv packet correctly.

It was only added for testing purposes and can be removed again.

aff3ea4e5d Staging: wlan-ng: Explicitly set some fields in cfg80211 interface
The cfg80211 api has introduced a few new fields. Rather than assume
what cfg80211 api does by default, set these explicitly.
