can: ucan: fix devres lifetime
USB drivers bind to USB interfaces and any device managed resources
should have their lifetime tied to the interface rather than parent USB
device. This avoids issues like memory leaks when drivers are unbound
without their devices being physically disconnected (e.g. on probe
deferral or configuration changes).
Fix the control message buffer lifetime so that it is released on driver
unbind.

can: gs_usb: gs_can_open(): always configure bitrates before starting device
So far the driver populated the struct can_priv::do_set_bittiming() and
struct can_priv::fd::do_set_data_bittiming() callbacks.
Before bringing up the interface, user space has to configure the bitrates.
With these callbacks the configuration is directly forwarded into the CAN
hardware. Then the interface can be brought up.
An ifdown-ifup cycle (without changing the bit rates) doesn't re-configure
the bitrates in the CAN hardware. This leads to a problem with the
CANable-2.5 [1] firmware, which resets the configured bit rates during
ifdown.
To fix the problem remove both bit timing callbacks and always configure
the bitrates in the struct net_device_ops::ndo_open() callback.

If a write urb fails then more needs to be done other than just logging
the message, otherwise the transmission could be stalled. Properly
increment the error counters and wake up the queues so that data will
continue to flow.

If a broken ucan device gets a message with the message length field set to 0, then the driver will loop for forever in ucan_read_bulk_callback(), hanging the system. can: ems_usb: ems_usb_read_bulk_callback(): check the proper length of a message
When looking at the data in a USB urb, the actual_length is the size of
the buffer passed to the driver, not the transfer_buffer_length which is
set by the driver as the max size of the buffer.
When parsing the messages in ems_usb_read_bulk_callback() properly check
the size both at the beginning of parsing the message to make sure it is
big enough for the expected structure, and at the end of the message to
make sure we don't overflow past the end of the buffer for the next
message.

esd_usb_probe() constructs bulk pipes for two endpoints without verifying their transfer types: - usb_rcvbulkpipe(dev->udev, 1) for RX (version reply, async RX data) - usb_sndbulkpipe(dev->udev, 2) for TX (version query, CAN frames) A malformed USB device can present these endpoints with transfer types that differ from what the driver assumes, triggering the WARNING in usb_submit_urb(). Use usb_find_common_endpoints() to discover and validate the first bulk IN and bulk OUT endpoints at probe time, before any allocation. Convert 'alloc_flex' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This is the exact same thing as the 'alloc_obj()' version, only much smaller because there are a lot fewer users of the *alloc_flex() interface. As with alloc_obj() version, this was done entirely with mindless brute force, using the same script, except using 'flex' in the pattern rather than 'objs*'. Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) In gs_can_open(), the URBs for USB-in transfers are allocated, added to the
parent->rx_submitted anchor and submitted. In the complete callback
gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback(), the URB is processed and resubmitted. In
gs_can_close() the URBs are freed by calling
usb_kill_anchored_urbs(parent->rx_submitted).
However, this does not take into account that the USB framework unanchors
the URB before the complete function is called. This means that once an
in-URB has been completed, it is no longer anchored and is ultimately not
released in gs_can_close().
Fix the memory leak by anchoring the URB in the
gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback() to the parent->rx_submitted anchor.

can: etas_es58x: allow partial RX URB allocation to succeed
When es58x_alloc_rx_urbs() fails to allocate the requested number of
URBs but succeeds in allocating some, it returns an error code.
This causes es58x_open() to return early, skipping the cleanup label
'free_urbs', which leads to the anchored URBs being leaked.
As pointed out by maintainer Vincent Mailhol, the driver is designed
to handle partial URB allocation gracefully. Therefore, partial
allocation should not be treated as a fatal error.
Modify es58x_alloc_rx_urbs() to return 0 if at least one URB has been
allocated, restoring the intended behavior and preventing the leak
in es58x_open().

The URB received in gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback() contains a struct
gs_host_frame. The length of the data after the header depends on the
gs_host_frame hf::flags and the active device features (e.g. time
stamping).
Introduce a new function gs_usb_get_minimum_length() and check that we have
at least received the required amount of data before accessing it. Only
copy the data to that skb that has actually been received.

The driver expects to receive a struct gs_host_frame in
gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback().
Use struct_group to describe the header of the struct gs_host_frame and
check that we have at least received the header before accessing any
members of it.
To resubmit the URB, do not dereference the pointer chain
"dev->parent->hf_size_rx" but use "parent->hf_size_rx" instead. Since
"urb->context" contains "parent", it is always defined, while "dev" is not
defined if the URB it too short.

The driver lacks the cleanup of failed transfers of URBs. This reduces the
number of available URBs per error by 1. This leads to reduced performance
and ultimately to a complete stop of the transmission.
If the sending of a bulk URB fails do proper cleanup:
- increase netdev stats
- mark the echo_sbk as free
- free the driver's context and do accounting
- wake the send queue

can: kvaser_usb: leaf: Fix potential infinite loop in command parsers
The `kvaser_usb_leaf_wait_cmd()` and `kvaser_usb_leaf_read_bulk_callback`
functions contain logic to zero-length commands. These commands are used
to align data to the USB endpoint's wMaxPacketSize boundary.
The driver attempts to skip these placeholders by aligning the buffer
position `pos` to the next packet boundary using `round_up()` function.
However, if zero-length command is found exactly on a packet boundary
(i.e., `pos` is a multiple of wMaxPacketSize, including 0), `round_up`
function will return the unchanged value of `pos`. This prevents `pos`
to be increased, causing an infinite loop in the parsing logic.
This patch fixes this in the function by using `pos + 1` instead.
This ensures that even if `pos` is on a boundary, the calculation is
based on `pos + 1`, forcing `round_up()` to always return the next
aligned boundary.

can: gs_usb: increase max interface to U8_MAX
This issue was found by Runcheng Lu when develop HSCanT USB to CAN FD
converter[1]. The original developers may have only 3 interfaces
device to test so they write 3 here and wait for future change.
During the HSCanT development, we actually used 4 interfaces, so the
limitation of 3 is not enough now. But just increase one is not
future-proofed. Since the channel index type in gs_host_frame is u8,
just make canch[] become a flexible array with a u8 index, so it
naturally constraint by U8_MAX and avoid statically allocate 256
pointer for every gs_usb device.

Networking changes for 6.18.
Core & protocols
----------------
- Improve drop account scalability on NUMA hosts for RAW and UDP sockets
and the backlog, almost doubling the Pps capacity under DoS.
- Optimize the UDP RX performance under stress, reducing contention,
revisiting the binary layout of the involved data structs and
implementing NUMA-aware locking. This improves UDP RX performance by
an additional 50%, even more under extreme conditions.
- Add support for PSP encryption of TCP connections; this mechanism has
some similarities with IPsec and TLS, but offers superior HW offloads
capabilities.
- Ongoing work to support Accurate ECN for TCP. AccECN allows more than
one congestion notification signal per RTT and is a building block for
Low Latency, Low Loss, and Scalable Throughput (L4S).
- Reorganize the TCP socket binary layout for data locality, reducing
the number of touched cachelines in the fastpath.
- Refactor skb deferral free to better scale on large multi-NUMA hosts,
this improves TCP and UDP RX performances significantly on such HW.
- Increase the default socket memory buffer limits from 256K to 4M to
better fit modern link speeds.
- Improve handling of setups with a large number of nexthop, making dump
operating scaling linearly and avoiding unneeded synchronize_rcu() on
delete.
- Improve bridge handling of VLAN FDB, storing a single entry per bridge
instead of one entry per port; this makes the dump order of magnitude
faster on large switches.
- Restore IP ID correctly for encapsulated packets at GSO segmentation
time, allowing GRO to merge packets in more scenarios.
- Improve netfilter matching performance on large sets.
- Improve MPTCP receive path performance by leveraging recently
introduced core infrastructure (skb deferral free) and adopting recent
TCP autotuning changes.
- Allow bridges to redirect to a backup port when the bridge port is
administratively down.
- Introduce MPTCP 'laminar' endpoint that con be used only once per
connection and simplify common MPTCP setups.
- Add RCU safety to dst->dev, closing a lot of possible races.

can: esd_usb: Avoid errors triggered from USB disconnect
The USB stack calls during disconnect the esd_usb_disconnect() callback. esd_usb_disconnect() calls netdev_unregister() for each network which in turn calls the net_device_ops::ndo_stop callback esd_usb_close() if the net device is up. The esd_usb_close() callback tries to disable all CAN Ids and to reset the CAN controller of the device sending appropriate control messages. Sending these messages in .disconnect() is moot and always fails because either the device is gone or the USB communication is already torn down by the USB stack in the course of a rmmod operation. Move the code that sends these control messages to a new function esd_usb_stop() which is approximately the counterpart of esd_usb_start() to make code structure less convoluted. Then change esd_usb_close() not to send the control messages at all if the ndo_stop() callback is executed from the USB .disconnect() callback. Add a new flag in_usb_disconnect to the struct esd_usb device structure to mark this condition which is checked by esd_usb_close() whether to skip the send operations in esd_usb_start(). can: mcba_usb: populate ndo_change_mtu() to prevent buffer overflow
Sending an PF_PACKET allows to bypass the CAN framework logic and to
directly reach the xmit() function of a CAN driver. The only check
which is performed by the PF_PACKET framework is to make sure that
skb->len fits the interface's MTU.
Unfortunately, because the mcba_usb driver does not populate its
net_device_ops->ndo_change_mtu(), it is possible for an attacker to
configure an invalid MTU by doing, for example:

After doing so, the attacker could open a PF_PACKET socket using the
ETH_P_CANXL protocol:
socket(PF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW, htons(ETH_P_CANXL))
to inject a malicious CAN XL frames. For example:

The CAN drivers' xmit() function are calling can_dev_dropped_skb() to
check that the skb is valid, unfortunately under above conditions, the
malicious packet is able to go through can_dev_dropped_skb() checks:
1. the skb->protocol is set to ETH_P_CANXL which is valid (the
function does not check the actual device capabilities).
2. the length is a valid CAN XL length.

can: etas_es58x: populate ndo_change_mtu() to prevent buffer overflow
Sending an PF_PACKET allows to bypass the CAN framework logic and to
directly reach the xmit() function of a CAN driver. The only check
which is performed by the PF_PACKET framework is to make sure that
skb->len fits the interface's MTU.
Unfortunately, because the etas_es58x driver does not populate its
net_device_ops->ndo_change_mtu(), it is possible for an attacker to
configure an invalid MTU by doing, for example:
$ ip link set can0 mtu 9999
After doing so, the attacker could open a PF_PACKET socket using the
ETH_P_CANXL protocol:
socket(PF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW, htons(ETH_P_CANXL));
to inject a malicious CAN XL frames. For example:

The CAN drivers' xmit() function are calling can_dev_dropped_skb() to
check that the skb is valid, unfortunately under above conditions, the
malicious packet is able to go through can_dev_dropped_skb() checks:
1. the skb->protocol is set to ETH_P_CANXL which is valid (the
function does not check the actual device capabilities).
2. the length is a valid CAN XL length.
And so, es58x_start_xmit() receives a CAN XL frame which it is not
able to correctly handle and will thus misinterpret it as a CAN(FD)
frame.
This can result in a buffer overflow. For example, using the es581.4
variant, the frame will be dispatched to es581_4_tx_can_msg(), go
through the last check at the beginning of this function:

Register each CAN channel of the device as an devlink physical port.
This makes it easier to get device information for a given network
interface (i.e. can2).
