pixel_rate and hblank as read only parameter. vblank can be configured
to match the desired frame rate.
Default values are, pixel_rate - 160 MHz, hblank - 800.
vblank defaults to an equivalent value of 30 fps for resolutions less than
or equal to 1920x1080 and 10 fps for higher resolutions. For higher
resolutions, modify pixel_rate in the driver code.
fps = pixel_rate / ((width + hblank) * (height + vblank))
minimum vblank - 4, maximum vblank - 65535
The configured fps delay is pre-calculated into jiffies and
stored in the sensor's hw structure for efficient access by the
streamer thread.

syzbot reported a general protection fault in vidtv_psi_desc_assign [1].
vidtv_psi_pmt_stream_init() can return NULL on memory allocation
failure, but vidtv_channel_pmt_match_sections() does not check for
this. When tail is NULL, the subsequent call to
vidtv_psi_desc_assign(&tail->descriptor, desc) dereferences a NULL
pointer offset, causing a general protection fault.
Add a NULL check after vidtv_psi_pmt_stream_init(). On failure, clean
up the already-allocated stream chain and return.

syzbot reported a memory leak in vidtv_psi_service_desc_init [1].
When vidtv_start_streaming() fails inside vidtv_start_feed(), the
nfeeds counter is left incremented even though no feed was actually
started. This corrupts the driver state: subsequent start_feed calls
see nfeeds > 1 and skip starting the mux, while stop_feed calls
eventually try to stop a non-existent stream.
This state corruption can also lead to memory leaks, since the mux
and channel resources may be partially allocated during a failed
start_streaming but never cleaned up, as the stop path finds
dvb->streaming == false and returns early.
Fix by decrementing nfeeds back when start_streaming fails, keeping
the counter in sync with the actual number of active feeds.

vidtv_ts_null_write_into() and vidtv_ts_pcr_write_into() take their
argument structs by value, causing MSAN to report uninit-value warnings.
While only vidtv_ts_null_write_into() has triggered a report so far,
both functions share the same issue.
Fix by passing both structs by const pointer instead, avoiding the
stack copy of the struct along with its MSAN shadow and origin metadata.
The functions do not modify the structs, which is enforced by the const
qualifier.

This converts some of the visually simpler cases that have been split
over multiple lines. I only did the ones that are easy to verify the
resulting diff by having just that final GFP_KERNEL argument on the next
line.
Somebody should probably do a proper coccinelle script for this, but for
me the trivial script actually resulted in an assertion failure in the
middle of the script. I probably had made it a bit _too_ trivial.
So after fighting that far a while I decided to just do some of the
syntactically simpler cases with variations of the previous 'sed'
scripts.
The more syntactically complex multi-line cases would mostly really want
whitespace cleanup anyway.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

The v4l2_m2m_buf_copy_metadata() function takes a boolean
copy_frame_flags argument. When true, it causes the function to copy the
V4L2_BUF_FLAG_KEYFRAME, V4L2_BUF_FLAG_BFRAME and V4L2_BUF_FLAG_PFRAME
flags from the output buffer to the capture buffer.
There is no use cases in any upstream driver for copying the flags.
KEY/P/B frames are properties of the bitstream buffer in some formats.
Once decoded, this is no longer a property of the video frame and should
be discarded.
It was considered useful to know if an uncompressed frame was decoded
from a KEY/P/B compressed frame, and to preserve that information if
that same uncompressed frame was passed through another M2M device (e.g.
a scaler). However, the V4L2 documentation makes it clear that the flags
are meant for compressed frames only.

In the set format handler, the check may have been intended to catch

vidtv_channel_si_init() creates a temporary list (program, service, event)
and ownership of the memory itself is transferred to the PAT/SDT/EIT
tables through vidtv_psi_pat_program_assign(),
vidtv_psi_sdt_service_assign(), vidtv_psi_eit_event_assign().
The problem here is that the local pointer where the memory ownership
transfer was completed is not initialized to NULL. This causes the
vidtv_psi_pmt_create_sec_for_each_pat_entry() function to fail, and
in the flow that jumps to free_eit, the memory that was freed by
vidtv_psi_*_table_destroy() can be accessed again by
vidtv_psi_*_event_destroy() due to the uninitialized local pointer, so it
is freed once again.
Therefore, to prevent use-after-free and double-free vulnerability,
local pointers must be initialized to NULL when transferring memory
ownership.

The vivid driver supports the <Vendor Command With ID> message,
but if the Vendor ID of the received message didn't match the Vendor ID
of the CEC Adapter, then it ignores it (good) and returns 0 (bad).
It should return -ENOMSG to indicate that other followers should be
asked to handle it. Return code 0 means that the driver handled it,
which is wrong in this case.
As a result, userspace followers never get the chance to process such a
message.
Refactor the code a bit to have the function return -ENOMSG at the end,
drop the default case, and ensure that the message handlers return 0.
That way 0 is only returned if the message is actually handled in the
vivid_received() function.

Add 3 more common resolution for webcams. This is required to increase
the test coverage of unit tests based on vivid.

Since commit f0b4a2c037 ("media: vivid: Extend FPS rates offered by
simulated webcam") we do not require twice as many intervals as sizes. In
fact, now we have 13 intervals and 6 sizes.
Fix the comment.

Add support for the mulitiplaner API. The device can now act as
either a multi-planar or a single-planar device depending on a module
parameter, similar to the way vivid behaves.
Multiplanar support was added by implementing the appropate
try/get/set mplane functions, and by modifying the queue_setup() and
buf_prepare() functions to handle multiple planes. Implementation
was inspired by vivid.

Clean up vidioc_try_fmt with the following changes:
1. remove unsused vim2m_fmt parameter
2. use clamp() macro to restrain width/height bounds
3. use ALIGN() macro to align width/height
4. use v4l2_fill_pixfmt to set bytesperline/sizeimage

It's not enough to have a dependency on CONFIG_FB, as that can be in
a loadable module when vivid itself is builtin:
drivers/media/test-drivers/vivid/vivid-osd.o: in function `vivid_fb_init':
vivid-osd.c:(.text+0xdc0): undefined reference to `fb_alloc_cmap'
vivid-osd.c:(.text+0xe26): undefined reference to `register_framebuffer'
Change the dependency to only allow configurations that can be built,
but change the FB to FB_CORE so this is also possible when using
DRM with FB compatibility rather than full fbdev.

Move the v4l2_info() call displaying the video device name after the
device is actually registered.
This fixes a bug where the driver was always displaying "/dev/video0"
since it was reading from the vfd before it was registered.

vivid-osd depends on CONFIG_FB, which can be a large dependency. Introduce
CONFIG_VIDEO_VIVID_OSD to control enabling support for testing output
overlay.

[hverkuil: add newline to squash checkpatch warning]
Most references to fb_info are already within vivid-osd.c. This patch
moves the remaining references into vivid-osd.c.
We also take this opportunity to make the function names in vivid-osd
more consistent.
This is a preparation patch to make CONFIG_FB optional for vivid.

The visl driver supports both frame and slice mode, with and without a
start-code. But, the range and default for these enum controls was not
set, which currently limits the decoder to enums with a value of 0. Fix
this by setting the decoder mode and start code controls for both the
H.264 and HEVC codecs.

Artem reported that the CPU load was 100% when capturing from
vivid at low resolution with ffmpeg.
This was caused by:
while (time_is_after_jiffies(cur_jiffies + wait_jiffies) &&
!kthread_should_stop())
schedule();
If there are no other processes running that can be scheduled,
then this is basically a busy-loop.
Change it to wait_event_interruptible_timeout() which doesn't
have that problem.
