The driver and platform data refers to the legacy GPIO API,
doesn't really use it, and also calls some GPIO-related functions
passed as platform data.
This platform data is not used anywhere in the kernel.
I'm not outright deleting the driver, just deleting the bogus
GPIO handling. If outoftree developers want to fix up the
driver the GPIOs should be defined in some kind of firmware
node and be obtained using the gpiod_get*() APIs directly
in the driver, but I don't even know what these GPIOs are
since they are hidden in platform data that is not in the
mainline kernel, so what can I do.

In fimc_runtime_resume(), the return value of
clk_enable(fimc->clock[CLK_GATE]) was not checked. If enabling the clock
fails, subsequent register accesses (fimc_hw_reset() and capture/m2m
resume) may trigger a bus error or undefined behavior.
Fix this by checking the return value. If clk_enable() fails, return the
error immediately, preventing unsafe hardware access.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

In the set format handler, the check may have been intended to catch
invalid format types, but that's not needed as the V4L2 core picks the

type can't be incorrect.
In the get format handler, the return value is not used for any purpose

exynos3250_jpeg_operating() has been unused since it was added in 2014's
commit 3246fdaa0a ("[media] s5p-jpeg: Add support for Exynos3250 SoC")
exynos4_jpeg_get_fifo_status(), exynos4_jpeg_get_frame_size(), and
exynos4_jpeg_set_timer_count() have been unused since they were added by
commit 80529ae5c1 ("[media] s5p-jpeg: JPEG codec")
Remove them.

In fimc_md_is_isp_available(), of_get_child_by_name() is called to check
if FIMC-IS is available. Current code does not decrement the refcount of
the returned device node, which causes an OF node reference leak. Fix it
by calling of_node_put() at the end of the variable scope.

Since commit 88785982a1 ("media: vb2: use lock if wait_prepare/finish
are NULL") it is no longer needed to set the wait_prepare/finish
vb2_ops callbacks as long as the lock field in vb2_queue is set.
Since the vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish callbacks already rely on that field,
we can safely drop these callbacks.
This simplifies the code and this is a step towards the goal of deleting
these callbacks.

The current logic allows word to be less than 2. If this happens,
there will be buffer overflows, as reported by smatch. Add extra
checks to prevent it.
While here, remove an unused word = 0 assignment.

After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.
Convert all platform drivers below drivers/media to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

There is a confusing pattern in the kernel to use a variable named
'timeout' to store the result of wait_event_timeout() causing
patterns like:
timeout = wait_event_timeout(...)
if (!timeout) return -ETIMEDOUT;
with all kinds of permutations. Use 'time_left' as a variable to make the
code self explaining.
Fix to the proper variable type 'long' while here.
