4e1d77a8f3 folio_batch: rename pagevec.h to folio_batch.h
struct pagevec was removed in commit 1e0877d58b ("mm: remove struct
pagevec"). Rename include/linux/pagevec.h to reflect reality and update
includes tree-wide. Add the new filename to MAINTAINERS explicitly, as it
no longer matches the "include/linux/page[-_]*" pattern in MEMORY
MANAGEMENT - CORE.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

ba391a102e drm/i915/guc: Include the GuC registers in the error state
If GuC hangs, the GuC logs might not contain enough information to
understand exactly why the hang occurred. In this case, we need to
look at the GuC HW state to try to understand where the GuC is stuck. It
is therefore useful to include the GuC HW state in the error capture.

The list of registers that are part of the GuC HW state can change based
on platform, but it is the same for all platforms from TGL to MTL so we
only need to support one version for i915.

v2: revised list
v3: remove confusing comment, use sizeof(u32) instead of 4 (John)

96b451d53a drm/{i915,xe}: convert i915 and xe display members into pointers
As the first step towards making struct intel_display an opaque pointer
in i915 and xe drivers, convert the struct drm_i915_private and struct
xe_device display members into pointers.

Initially, add temporary struct intel_display __display members, and
point display at it to avoid dynamic allocation. In the future, we can
drop this, and switch to dynamic allocation.

The conversion is done simply with sed:

sed -i 's/&\([a-zA-Z0-9_>.-]*\)\(dev_priv\|i915\|xe\)->display\([^.]\)/\1\2->display\3/g' \
    $(git ls-files -- drivers/gpu/drm/i915 drivers/gpu/drm/xe)

sed -i 's/\(dev_priv\|i915\|xe\)->display\./\1->display->/g' \
    $(git ls-files -- drivers/gpu/drm/i915 drivers/gpu/drm/xe)

With a couple of manual tweaks on top.

v2: Initialize i915->display also in selftest mock_gem_device()

5530c1e48a drm/i915/error: drop dmesg suggestion to file bugs on GPU hangs
We haven't updated the DRIVER_TIMESTAMP since commit 3570bd989a
("drm/i915: Update DRIVER_DATE to 20230929") 1½ years ago. Before then,
the previous update was commit 139caf7ca2 ("drm/i915: Update
DRIVER_DATE to 20201103") 4+ years ago. The DRIVER_DATE has also been
removed altogether.

We've used the DRIVER_TIMESTAMP to log suggestions to file bugs on GPU
hangs when they happen on a driver less than six months old. Combined
with the sporadic DRIVER_TIMESTAMP updates, we really haven't logged the
suggestions for years.

Just stop logging the suggestion to file bugs altogether, and remove
DRIVER_TIMESTAMP. This doesn't really change anything wrt to logging GPU
errors or how we handle bugs. And effectively we already stopped logging
the message a year ago when we stopped updating DRIVER_TIMESTAMP.

Instead, add an unconditional message about the GPU error state
location.

737c725b2c drm/i915: use display snapshot mechanism for display irq regs
Move more display specific parts of GPU error logging behind the display
snapshot interface.

With the display register capture reduced to just one register, DERRMR,
there's quite a bit of boilerplate here. However, it's still a nice
abstraction and removes a DISPLAY_VER() usage from core i915. With this
approach, it's also easy to add to xe as needed.

d581841076 drm/i915: move gpu error sysfs to i915_gpu_error.c
Hide gpu error specifics in i915_gpu_error.c. This is also cleaner wrt
conditional compilation, as i915_gpu_error.c is only built with

With this, we can also make i915_first_error_state() static.
