126f16e0a1 MIPS: Octeon: apply USB FDT fixups also when USB is modular
The uctl/usbn device-tree fixups in octeon_prune_device_tree() - which
set the board's USB reference-clock frequency and type from
__cvmx_helper_board_usb_get_clock_type() - are guarded by
"#ifdef CONFIG_USB", which is false when USB is built as a module. The
fixups then silently disappear and octeon-hcd sees whatever default the
DTS carries (12MHz crystal in octeon_3xxx.dts), leaving the PHY dead or
the bus erroring on boards with a different reference clock.

Use IS_ENABLED() so USB=m gets the same fixups as USB=y.

Fixes: 7fd57ab9d9 ("MIPS: Octeon: Fix compile error when USB is not enabled.")

95147c0f62 staging: octeon: convert cvmx_pko_status_t from typedef to plain enum
The Linux kernel coding style discourages the use of typedefs for
enums. Convert cvmx_pko_status_t to a plain 'enum cvmx_pko_status' and
update all users across the MIPS Octeon architecture code and the

4f44225a9b staging: octeon: convert cvmx_spi_mode_t from typedef to plain enum
The Linux kernel coding style discourages the use of typedefs for
enums. Convert cvmx_spi_mode_t to a plain 'enum cvmx_spi_mode' and
update all users across the MIPS Octeon architecture code and the
staging driver stubs.

This is part of a series converting all remaining enum typedefs in
the octeon subsystem to plain enums, improving compliance with the
kernel coding style.

bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

c9e5ac0ab9 lib/crypto: mips/md5: Migrate optimized code into library
Instead of exposing the mips-optimized MD5 code via mips-specific

e96cb9507f lib/crypto: sha256: Consolidate into single module
Consolidate the CPU-based SHA-256 code into a single module, following
what I did with SHA-512:

- Each arch now provides a header file lib/crypto/$(SRCARCH)/sha256.h,
  replacing lib/crypto/$(SRCARCH)/sha256.c. The header defines
sha256_blocks() and optionally sha256_mod_init_arch(). It is included
by lib/crypto/sha256.c, and thus the code gets built into the single
libsha256 module, with proper inlining and dead code elimination.

- sha256_blocks_generic() is moved from lib/crypto/sha256-generic.c into
lib/crypto/sha256.c. It's now a static function marked with
__maybe_unused, so the compiler automatically eliminates it in any
  cases where it's not used.

- Whether arch-optimized SHA-256 is buildable is now controlled
centrally by lib/crypto/Kconfig instead of by
lib/crypto/$(SRCARCH)/Kconfig. The conditions for enabling it remain
the same as before, and it remains enabled by default.

- Any additional arch-specific translation units for the optimized
SHA-256 code (such as assembly files) are now compiled by
  lib/crypto/Makefile instead of lib/crypto/$(SRCARCH)/Makefile.

0810f121e0 MIPS: Switch to irq_domain_create_*()
irq_domain_add_*() interfaces are going away as being obsolete now.
Switch to the preferred irq_domain_create_*() ones. Those differ in the
node parameter: They take more generic struct fwnode_handle instead of
struct device_node. Therefore, of_fwnode_handle() is added around the
original parameter.

Note some of the users can likely use dev->fwnode directly instead of
indirect of_fwnode_handle(dev->of_node). But dev->fwnode is not
guaranteed to be set for all, so this has to be investigated on case to
case basis (by people who can actually test with the HW).

976f82e8aa usb: dwc3: dwc3-octeon: Convert to glue driver
DWC3 as implemented in Cavium SoC is using UCTL bridge unit
between I/O interconnect and USB controller.

Currently there is no bond with dwc3 core code, so if anything goes
wrong in UCTL setup dwc3 is left in reset, which leads to bus error
while trying to read any device register. Thus any failure in UCTL
initialization ends with kernel panic.

To avoid this move Octeon DWC3 glue code from arch/mips and make it
proper glue driver which is used instead of dwc3-of-simple.

e1a7566d09 MIPS: More explicit DT include clean-ups
A couple more clean-ups in the MIPS code.

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it was merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

Merge tag 'objtool-core-2023-04-27' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip

Pull objtool updates from Ingo Molnar:

 - Mark arch_cpu_idle_dead() __noreturn, make all architectures &
drivers that did this inconsistently follow this new, common
convention, and fix all the fallout that objtool can now detect
   statically

 - Fix/improve the ORC unwinder becoming unreliable due to
UNWIND_HINT_EMPTY ambiguity, split it into UNWIND_HINT_END_OF_STACK
   and UNWIND_HINT_UNDEFINED to resolve it

 - Fix noinstr violations in the KCSAN code and the lkdtm/stackleak code

 - Generate ORC data for __pfx code

 - Add more __noreturn annotations to various kernel startup/shutdown
   and panic functions

 - Misc improvements & fixes

48380368de Change DEFINE_SEMAPHORE() to take a number argument
Fundamentally semaphores are a counted primitive, but
DEFINE_SEMAPHORE() does not expose this and explicitly creates a
binary semaphore.

Change DEFINE_SEMAPHORE() to take a number argument and use that in the
few places that open-coded it using __SEMAPHORE_INITIALIZER().
