97fef60258 Docs/admin-guide/cgroup-v2: note blkcg_debug_stats gates io.latency stats
The io.stat section says that enabling the io.latency controller exposes
the depth, avg_lat and win stats in addition to the normal ones. However,
these io.latency-specific stats are debug stats and are only emitted when
the blkcg_debug_stats module parameter is enabled, which is disabled by
default.

Make this explicit so users do not expect these fields to appear in
io.stat by default, and qualify the usage text that suggests using
avg_lat to pick an io.latency target.

451a746757 Docs/admin-guide/cgroup-v1: document rdma.peak, rdma.events and rdma.events.local
The v1 RDMA controller documentation only describes rdma.max and
rdma.current, but the controller exposes three more files -- rdma.peak,
rdma.events and rdma.events.local -- which are already documented for
v2. Mirror the v2 wording so the v1 documentation matches the files
actually visible on a v1 mount.

5aa31cb1df Docs/admin-guide/cgroup-v2: drop stale misc interface file count
The Miscellaneous controller documentation states it "provides 3 interface
files", but misc_cg_files[] actually registers six (max, current, peak,
capacity, events, events.local). Drop the stale count and let the file
list that follows speak for itself.

46d65096ce Docs/admin-guide/cgroup-v2: fix memory.stat doc details
Fix minor cgroup v2 memory.stat documentation issues. Correct the
vmalloc per-node marker now that vmalloc uses the native NR_VMALLOC node
stat, and document zswap_incomp as a byte-valued memory amount instead
of as a page counter.

Fixes: c466412c73 ("mm: memcontrol: switch to native NR_VMALLOC vmstat counter")

a93cbee527 selftests/mm: rename hugepage-* tests to hugetlb-*
hugepage could mean both THP and HugeTLB these days.

Rename hugepage-* tests for HugeTLB to hugetlb-* to avoid confusion.

Make sure that Makefile update keeps alphabetical ordering of the
TEST_GEN_FILES entries.

Keep old binary names in .gitignore because Linus prefers it this way.

b5b8b329c4 mm/khugepaged: add per-order mTHP collapse failure statistics
Add three new mTHP statistics to track collapse failures for different
orders when encountering swap PTEs, excessive none PTEs, and shared PTEs:

- collapse_exceed_swap_pte: Increment when mTHP collapse fails due to
	encountering a swap PTE.

- collapse_exceed_none_pte: Counts when mTHP collapse fails due to
exceeding the none PTE threshold for the given order

- collapse_exceed_shared_pte: Counts when mTHP collapse fails due to
	encountering a shared PTE.

These statistics complement the existing THP_SCAN_EXCEED_* events by
providing per-order granularity for mTHP collapse attempts. The stats are
exposed via sysfs under
`/sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/hugepages-*/stats/` for each
supported hugepage size.

As we currently do not support collapsing mTHPs that contain a swap or
shared entry, those statistics keep track of how often we are encountering
failed mTHP collapses due to these restrictions.

We will add support for mTHP collapse for anonymous pages next; lets also
track when this happens at the PMD level within the per-mTHP stats.

Merge tag 'integrity-v7.2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/zohar/linux-integrity

Pull IMA updates from Mimi Zohar:

 - Introduce IMA and EVM post-quantum ML-DSA signature support

ML-DSA signature support for IMA and EVM is limited to sigv3
signatures, which calculates and verifies a hash of a compact
structure containing the file data/metadata hash, hash type, and hash
algorithm. IMA and EVM still calculate the file data/metadata hashes
   respectively.

 - Introduce support for removing IMA measurement list records stored in
   kernel memory

The IMA measurement list can grow large depending on policy, but
removing records breaks remote attestation, unless they are safely
preserved and made available for attestation requests. Until
environments are prepared to preserve the measurement records, a new
CONFIG_IMA_STAGING Kconfig option is introduced to guard against
   deletion.

Several approaches for removing measurement list records were
evaluated but rejected due to filesystem constraints, the
introduction of a new critical data record, and locking concerns. Two
methods are being upstreamed: staged deletion with confirmation, and
staged deletion of N records without confirmation. Both methods
minimize the period during which new measurements are blocked from
being appended to the measurement list by staging the measurement
   list.

A comparison of the two methods is included in the documentation.

 - Some code cleanup, and a couple of bug fixes

 Patchsets in this merge:

 - The 2 patch series "selftests/mm: clean up build output and verbosity"
from Li Wang removes some noise from the MM selftests build out.

 - The 3 patch series "mm: Free contiguous order-0 pages efficiently"
from Ryan Roberts speeds up the freeing of a batch of 0-order pages by
first scanning them for coalescing opportunities. This is applicable to
vfree() and to the releasing of frozen pages.

 - The 11 patch series "mm/damon: introduce DAMOS failed region quota
charge ratio" from SeongJae Park addresses a DAMOS usability issue: The
DAMOS quota often exhausts prematurely because it charges for all memory
attempted, causing slow and inconsistent performance when actions fail
   on unreclaimable memory.

To fix this, a new feature lets users set a smaller, flexible quota
charge ratio (via a numerator and denominator) for failed regions.
Since failed actions cause less overhead, reducing their quota cost
ensures more predictable and efficient DAMOS processing

 - The 8 patch series "selftests/cgroup: improve zswap tests robustness
and support large page sizes" from Li Wang fixes various spurious
failures and improves the overall robustness of the cgroup zswap
   selftests.

 - The 3 patch series "fix MAP_DROPPABLE not supported errno" from
Anthony Yznaga fixes an issue in the mlock selftests on arm32.

 - The 2 patch series "mm: huge_memory: clean up defrag sysfs with
shared" from Breno Leitao does some maintenance work in the huge_memory
   code.

 - The 3 patch series "treewide: fixup gfp_t printks" from Brendan
Jackman uses the special vprintf() gfp_t conversion in various places.

 - The 6 patch series "mm: Fix vmemmap optimization accounting and
initialization" from Muchun Song fixes several bugs in the vmemmap
optimization, mainly around incorrect page accounting and memmap
initialization in the DAX and memory hotplug paths. It also fixes
pageblock migratetype initialization and struct page initialization for
   ZONE_DEVICE compound pages.

 - The 4 patch series "mm/damon: repost non-hotfix reviewed patches in
damon/next tree" from is a sprinkle of unrelated minor bugfixes for
   DAMON.

remove this function from the tree, replacing it with folio_mapped().

 - The 10 patch series "mm/damon: let DAMON be paused and resumed" from
SeongJae Park permits DAMON to be paused and resumed without losing its
   current state.

 - The 3 patch series "kasan: hw_tags: Disable tagging for stack and
page-tables" from Muhammad Usama Anjum simplifies and speeds up kasan by
removing its ineffective tagging of stacks and page tables.

 - The 7 patch series "mm/damon/reclaim,lru_sort: monitor all system rams
by default" from SeongJae Park simplifies deployment on diverse hardware
like NUMA systems by updating DAMON_RECLAIM and DAMON_LRU_SORT to
automatically monitor the physical address range covering all System RAM
areas by default, replacing the overly restrictive behavior that only
targeted the single largest memory block to save on negligible overhead.

 - The 2 patch series "mm/damon/sysfs: document filters/ directory as
deprecated" from SeongJae Park updates some DAMON docs.

 - The 8 patch series "mm: use spinlock guards for zone lock" from Dmitry
Ilvokhin switches zone->lock handling over to using the guard()
   mechanisms.

 - The 2 patch series "mm/filemap: tighten mmap_miss hit accounting" from
fujunjie fixes a flaw where the mmap_miss counter over-credited page
cache hits during fault-arounds and page-fault retries. This results in
significant reduction of redundant synchronous mmap readahead I/O,
drastically cutting down execution time and gigabytes read for sparse
random or strided memory access workloads.

 - The 2 patch series "selftests/cgroup: Fix false positive failures in
test_percpu_basic" from Li Wang fixes a couple of false-positives in the
   cgroup kmem selftests.

from David Hildenbrand reduces our use of CONFIG_HAVE_BOOTMEM_INFO_NODE,
with a view to removing it entirely in a later series.

 - The 2 patch series "mm/damon: validate min_region_size to be power of
2" from Liew Rui Yan prevents users from passing a non-power-of-2 value
of `addr_unit', as this later results in undesirable behavior.

 - The 2 patch series "mm: document read_pages and simplify usage" from
   Frederick Mayle does as claimed.

 - The 3 patch series "tools/mm/page-types: Fix misc bugs" from Ye Liu
   fixes three issues in tools/mm/page-types.c.

 - The 4 patch series "mm: misc cleanups from __GFP_UNMAPPED series" from
Brendan Jackman implements several cleanups in the page allocator and
   related code.

 - The 12 patch series "mm, swap: swap table phase IV: unify allocation"
from Kairui Song unifies the allocation and charging of anon and shmem
swap in folios, provides better synchronization, consolidates the
metadata management, hence dropping the static array and map, and
   improves performance.

 - The 28 patch series "mm/damon: introduce data attributes monitoring"
from SeongJae Park extends DAMON for monitoring general data attributes
   other than accesses.

 - The 5 patch series "mm/vmalloc: free unused pages on vrealloc()
shrink" from Shivam Kalra implements the TODO in vrealloc() to unmap and

and tests" from SeongJae Park implements minor improvements in code
   readability and tests for DAMON.

 - The 2 patch series "mm/damon: fix macro arguments and clarify quota
goals doc" from Maksym Shcherba does those things.

by NUMA-node cache thrashing around struct obj_stock_pcp by shrinking
its existing fields and expanding it into a multi-slot array that caches
up to five obj_cgroup pointers per CPU, allowing per-node variants of
the same memcg to coexist within a single 64-byte cache line.

 - The 2 patch series "zram: writeback fixes" from Sergey Senozhatsky
addresses a couple of unrelated zram writeback issues.

vmemmap_set_pmd() and vmemmap_check_pmd()" from Muchun Song provides
generic versions of these two functions so the four arch-specific
   implementations can be removed.

uswsusp-vs-swapoff race and reduces the swap device reference
   taking/releasing frequency.

 - The 2 patch series "mm/hmm: A fix and a selftest" from Dev Jain does
   as claimed.

83476cc97b cgroup: Changes for v7.2
- Last cycle deferred css teardown on cgroup removal until the cgroup
depopulated, so a css is not taken offline while tasks can still
reference it. Disabling a controller through cgroup.subtree_control
still had the same problem. This reworks the deferral from per-cgroup
to per-css so that path is covered too.

 - New RDMA controller monitoring files: rdma.peak for per-device peak
   usage and rdma.events / rdma.events.local for resource-limit
exhaustion. The max-limit parser was rewritten, fixing two input
   parsing bugs.

 - cpuset: fix a sched-domain leak on the domain-rebuild failure path and
skip a redundant hardwall ancestor scan on v2.

 - Misc: pair the remaining lockless cgroup.max.* reads with WRITE_ONCE,
assorted selftest robustness fixes, and doc path corrections.

b85966adbf Networking changes for 7.2.
Core & protocols
 ----------------

  - Work on removing rtnl_lock protection throughout the stack continues.
    In this chapter:
     - don't use rtnl_lock for IPv6 multicast routing configuration
     - don't take rtnl_lock in ethtool for modern drivers
     - prepare Qdisc dump callbacks for rtnl_lock removal

  - Support dumping just ifindex + name of all interfaces, under RCU.
It's a common operation for Netlink CLI tools (when translating
names to ifindexes) and previously required full rtnl_lock.

  - Support dumping qdiscs and page pools for a specific netdev. Even tho
user space wants a dump of all netdevs, most of the time, the OOO
programming model results in repeating the dump for each netdev.
Which, in absence of a cache, leads to a O(n^2) behavior.

  - Flush nexthops once on multi-nexthop removal (e.g. when device goes
    down), another O(n^2) -> O(n) improvement.

  - Rehash locally generated traffic to a different nexthop on retransmit
    timeout.

  - Honor oif when choosing nexthop for locally generated IPv6 traffic.

  - Convert TCP Auth Option to crypto library, and drop non-RFC algos.

  - Increase subflow limits in MPTCP to 64 and endpoint limit to 256.

  - Support MPTCP signaling of IPv6 address + port (ADD_ADDR). We need
to selectively skip reporting of the standard TCP Timestamp option,
    because they won't fit into the header space together (12 + 30 > 40).

  - Support using bridge neighbor suppression, Duplicate Address
Detection, Gratuitous ARP and unsolicited NA forwarding - in EVPN
    deployments, e.g. VXLAN fabrics (IPv4 and IPv6).

  - Improve link state reporting for upper netdevs (e.g. macvlan) over
tunnel devices (again, mostly for EVPN deployments).

  - Support binding GENEVE tunnels to a local address.

  - Speed up UDP tunnel destruction (remove one synchronize_rcu()).

  - Support exponential field encoding in multicast (IGMPv3 and MLDv2).

  - Support attaching PSP crypto offload to containers (veth, netkit).

  - Add a new IPSec Netlink message XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE_STATE that allows
migrating individual IPsec SAs independently of their policies.
The existing XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE is tightly coupled to policy+SA
migration, lacks SPI for unique SA identification, and cannot express
reqid changes or migrate Transport mode selectors. The new interface
identifies the SA via SPI and mark, supports reqid changes, address
family changes, encap removal, and uses an atomic create+install
flow under x->lock to prevent SN/IV reuse during AEAD SA migration.

  - Implement GRO/GSO support for PPPoE.

  - Convert sockopt callbacks in a number of protocols to iov_iter.

 Cross-tree stuff
 ----------------

  - Remove support for Crypto TFM cloning (unblocked after the TCP Auth
Option rework). This feature regressed performance for all crypto API
users, since it changed crypto transformation objects into reference-
    -counted objects.

  - Add FCrypt-PCBC implementation to rxrpc and remove it from the global
crypto API as obsolete and insecure.

 Wireless
 --------

  - Major rework of station bandwidth handling, fixing issues with lower
    capability than AP.

  - Cleanups for EMLSR spec issues (drafts differed).

  - More Neighbor Awareness Networking (Wi-Fi Aware) work (multicast,
    schedule improvements, multi-station etc.)

  - Some Ultra High Reliability (UHR) / IEEE 802.11bn (D1.4) work
(e.g. non-primary channel access, UHR DBE support).

  - Fine Timing Measurement ranging (i.e. distance measurement) APIs.

 Netfilter
 ---------

  - Use per-rule hash initval in nf_conncount. This avoids unnecessary
lock contention with short keys (e.g. conntrack zones) in different
    namespaces.

  - Various safety improvements, both in packet parsing and object
lifetimes. Notably add refcounts to conntrack timeout policy.

 Deletions
 ---------

  - Remove TLS + sockmap integration. TLS wants to pin user pages
to avoid a copy, and sockmap wants to write to the input stream.
More work on this integration is clearly needed, and we can't find
any users (original author admitted that they never deployed it).

  - Remove support for TLS offload with TCP Offload Engine (the far
more common opportunistic offload is retained). The locking looks
unfixable (driver sleeps under TCP spin locks) and people from
the vendor that added this are AWOL.

  - Remove more ATM code, trying to leave behind only what PPPoATM needs,
AAL5 and br2684 with permanent circuits.

  - Remove AppleTalk. Let it join hamradio in our out of tree protocol
    graveyard, I mean, repository.

  - Disable 32-bit x_tables compatibility (32bit binaries on 64bit kernel)
interface in user namespaces. To be deleted completely, soon.

  - Remove 5/10 MHz support from cfg80211/mac80211.

8a398a0c18 appletalk: move the protocol out of tree
AppleTalk has been removed in MacOS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), in 2009,
according to Wikipedia. We recently got a burst of AI generated
fixes to this protocol which nobody is reviewing.

Let AppleTalk follow AX.25 and hamradio out of the Linux tree.
We we will maintain the code at: github.com/linux-netdev/mod-orphan
for anyone interested in playing with it.

Retain the uAPI for now. No strong reason, simply because I suspect
keeping it will be less controversial.

4d05e948ce KEYS: trusted: Debugging as a feature
TPM_DEBUG, and other similar flags, are a non-standard way to specify a
feature in Linux kernel. Introduce CONFIG_TRUSTED_KEYS_DEBUG for trusted
keys, and use it to replace these ad-hoc feature flags.

Given that trusted keys debug dumps can contain sensitive data, harden the
feature as follows:

1. In the Kconfig description postulate that pr_debug() statements must be
   used.
2. Use pr_debug() statements in TPM 1.x driver to print the protocol dump.
3. Require trusted.debug=1 on the kernel command line (default: 0) to
activate dumps at runtime, even when CONFIG_TRUSTED_KEYS_DEBUG=y.

Traces, when actually needed, can be easily enabled by providing
trusted.dyndbg='+p' and trusted.debug=1 in the kernel command-line.

2cbf335f8c Scheduler updates for v7.2:
SMP load-balancing updates:

  - A large series to introduce infrastructure for cache-aware load
balancing, with the goal of co-locating tasks that share data
within the same Last Level Cache (LLC) domain. By improving cache
locality, the scheduler can reduce cache bouncing and cache misses,
    ultimately improving data access efficiency.

Implemented by Chen Yu and Tim Chen, based on early prototype work
by Peter Zijlstra, with fixes by Jianyong Wu, Peter Zijlstra and
    Shrikanth Hegde.

  - A series to simplify CONFIG_SCHED_SMT ifdef usage (Shrikanth Hegde)

 Fair scheduler updates:

  - A series to improve SD_ASYM_CPUCAPACITY scheduling by introducing
SMT awareness (Andrea Righi, K Prateek Nayak)

  - A series to optimize cfs_rq and sched_entity allocation for
    better data locality (Zecheng Li)

  - A preparatory series to change fair/cgroup scheduling to a single
runqueue, without the final change (Peter Zijlstra)

  - Auto-manage ext/fair dl_server bandwidth (Andrea Righi)

  - Fix cpu_util runnable_avg arithmetic (Hongyan Xia)

  - Optimize update_tg_load_avg()'s rate-limiting code
    (Rik van Riel)

  - Allow account_cfs_rq_runtime() to throttle current hierarchy
    (K Prateek Nayak)

  - Update util_est after updating util_avg during dequeue, to fix
the util signal update logic, which reduces signal noise
    (Vincent Guittot)

 Scheduler topology updates:

  - Allow multiple domains to claim sched_domain_shared (K Prateek Nayak)

     canceled by using mod_delayed_work()
   - Fix missing jiffies conversion in deferred_probe_extend_timeout()
   - Guard timeout extension with delayed_work_pending() to prevent
     premature firing
   - Use system_percpu_wq instead of the deprecated system_wq
   - Update deferred_probe_timeout documentation

 - device:
   - Replace direct struct device bitfield access (can_match, dma_iommu,
     dma_skip_sync, dma_ops_bypass, state_synced, dma_coherent,
     of_node_reused, offline, offline_disabled) with flag-based
     accessors using bit operations
   - Reject devices with unregistered buses
   - Delete unused DEVICE_ATTR_PREALLOC()
   - Add low-level device attribute macros with const show/store
callbacks, allowing device attributes to reside in read-only memory
   - Move core device attributes to read-only memory
   - Constify group array pointers in driver_add_groups() /
     driver_remove_groups(), struct bus_type, and struct device_driver

 - device property:
   - Fix fwnode reference leak in fwnode_graph_get_endpoint_by_id()
   - Initialize all fields of fwnode_handle in fwnode_init()
   - Provide swnode_get()/swnode_put() wrappers around kobject_get/put()
   - Allow passing struct software_node_ref_args pointers directly to
     PROPERTY_ENTRY_REF()

 - driver_override:
   - Migrate amba, cdx, vmbus, and rpmsg to the generic driver_override
infrastructure, fixing a UAF from unsynchronized access to
     driver_override in bus match() callbacks
   - Remove the now-unused driver_set_override()

 - firmware loader:
   - Fix recursive lock deadlock in device_cache_fw_images() when async
work falls back to synchronous execution
   - Fix device reference leak in firmware_upload_register()

 - platform:
   - Pass KBUILD_MODNAME through the platform driver registration macro
to create module symlinks in sysfs for built-in drivers; move
module_kset initialization to a pure_initcall and tegra cbb
registration to core_initcall to ensure correct ordering
   - Pass THIS_MODULE implicitly through a coresight_init_driver() macro

 - sysfs:
   - Upgrade OOB write detection in sysfs_kf_seq_show() from printk to
     WARN
   - Add return value clamping to sysfs_kf_read()

 - Rust:
   - ACPI:
     - Fix missing match data for PRP0001 by exporting
       acpi_of_match_device()

   - Auxiliary:
     - Replace drvdata() with dedicated registration data on
auxiliary_device. drvdata() exposed the driver's bus device
private data beyond the driver's own scope, creating ordering
constraints and forcing the data to outlive all registrations
that access it. Registration data is instead scoped structurally
to the Registration object, making lifecycle ordering enforced
       by construction rather than convention.

   - Rust-native device driver lifetimes (HRT):
     - Allow Rust device drivers to carry a lifetime parameter on their
bus device private data, tied to the device binding scope -- the
interval during which a bus device is bound to a driver. Device
resources like pci::Bar<'a> and IoMem<'a> can be stored directly
in the driver's bus device private data with a lifetime bounded
by the binding scope, so the compiler enforces at build time that
they do not outlive the binding. This removes Devres indirection
from every access site and eliminates try_access() failure paths
       in destructors.

Bus driver traits use a Generic Associated Type (GAT)
Data<'bound> to introduce the lifetime on the private data,
rather than parameterizing the Driver trait itself. Auxiliary
registration data, where the lifetime is not introduced by a
trait callback but must be threaded through Registration, uses
the ForLt trait (a type-level abstraction for types generic over
       a lifetime).

 - Misc:
   - Fix DT overlayed devices not probing by reverting the broken
treewide overlay fix and re-running fw_devlink consumer pickup when
an overlay is applied to a bound device
   - Use root_device_register() for faux bus root device; add sanity
     check for failed bus init
   - Fix dev_has_sync_state() data race with READ_ONCE() and move it to
     base.h
   - Avoid spurious device_links warning when removing a device while
     its supplier is unbinding
   - Switch ISA bus to dynamic root device
   - Fix suspicious RCU usage in kernfs_put()
   - Remove devcoredump exit callback
   - Constify devfreq_event_class

Pull power management updates from Rafael Wysocki:
"Over a half of the changes here are cpufreq updates that include core
modifications, fixes of the old-style governors, new hardware support
in drivers, assorded driver fixes and cleanups, and the removal of one

Apart from that, the intel_idle driver will now be able to avoid
exposing redundant C-states if PC6 is disabled and there are new
sysctl knobs for device suspend/resume watchdog timeouts, hibernation
gets built-in LZ4 support for image compression and there is the usual

landlock: Add API support and docs for the quiet flags
Adds the UAPI for the quiet flags feature (but not the implementation
yet).

Even though currently LANDLOCK_ADD_RULE_QUIET only affects audit
logging, in the future this can also be used as part of a supervisor
mechanism, where it will also suppress denial notifications on a
per-object basis. Thus the name is deliberately generic, as opposed to
e.g. LANDLOCK_ADD_RULE_LOG_QUIET.

According to pahole, even after adding the struct access_masks
quiet_masks in struct landlock_hierarchy, the u32 log_* bitfield still
only has a size of 2 bytes, so there's minimal wasted space.

c26d9d9246 ima: Add support for flushing the hash table when staging measurements
During staging and delete, measurements are not completely deallocated.
Their entry digest portion is kept and is still reachable with the hash
table to detect duplicate records. If the number of records is significant,
this reduces the memory saving benefit of staging.

Some users might be interested in achieving the best memory saving (the
measurements are completely deallocated) at the cost of having duplicate
records across the staged measurement lists. Duplicate records are still
avoided within the current measurement list.

Introduce the new kernel option ima_flush_htable to decide whether or not
the digests of staged measurement records are flushed from the hash table,
when they are deleted, to achieve the maximum memory saving.

When the option is enabled, replace the old hash table with a new one,
by calling ima_alloc_replace_htable(), and completely delete the
measurements records.

0e06a884f5 nfs: remove nfs_compat_user_ino64() and deprecate enable_ino64
Now that inode->i_ino stores the full 64-bit NFS fileid, the
nfs_compat_user_ino64() function is no longer needed.
generic_fillattr() already copies inode->i_ino into stat->ino, so the
explicit override in nfs_getattr() is also redundant.

Also remove the now-unused nfs_fileid_to_ino_t() and
nfs_fattr_to_ino_t() helper functions that were used to XOR-fold
64-bit fileids into the old unsigned long i_ino.

Keep the enable_ino64 module parameter as a deprecated stub that
accepts but ignores the value, logging a notice when set. This avoids
breaking existing configurations that pass nfs.enable_ino64 on the
kernel command line or in modprobe.d.

03120e1425 cpufreq: Documentation: fix conservative governor freq_step description
The conservative governor documentation incorrectly states that setting
freq_step to 0 will use the default 5% frequency step. In reality, since
at least commit 8e677ce83b ("[CPUFREQ] conservative: fixup governor to
function more like ondemand logic"), freq_step=0 has always caused the
governor to skip frequency updates entirely.

Correct the documentation to reflect the actual behavior: freq_step=0
disables frequency changes by the governor entirely.

fb95c50921 mm/hugetlb_cma: restrict hugetlb_cma parameter to gigantic-page alignment
Existing hugetlb_cma parameter handling logic rejects sizes smaller than
one gigantic page, but rounds up larger sizes that are not a multiple of
it. The two behaviors are inconsistent and neither is documented.

To remove existing inconsistent and undefined behavior, restrict
hugetlb_cma parameter to only accept multiples of the gigantic page size.

After this restriction, the redundant round_up() in the allocation loop
can be removed.

The new restriction is also documented in kernel-parameters.txt.

Also, including other minor changes for readability improvement with no
functional change.

5c48ecedf7 docs/dyndbg: explain flags parse 1st
When writing queries to >control, flags are parsed 1st, since they are
the only required field, and they require specific compositions. So
if the flags draw an error (on those specifics), then keyword errors
aren't reported. This can be mildly confusing/annoying, so explain it
instead.
