From fd7f98db9c28574b102303e317f4dca712281003 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Peter Ujfalusi Date: Wed, 7 Oct 2026 11:49:29 +0300 Subject: [PATCH] ALSA: compress: register the open file with the card The compress-offload device is the only ALSA character device family which does not add its open files to the card's file list. Without it the core cannot replace the file operations on disconnect, so syscalls issued after the card is gone still reach the driver, and a card freed with snd_card_free_when_closed() does not wait for the open compress streams. Call snd_card_file_add() at open and snd_card_file_remove() at release, following the ordering used by the PCM, control, rawmidi and hwdep devices.
