From f2ec69363fb52fbb2010e5edbec2b8ca0951aadf Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Rafael J. Wysocki" Date: Tue, 12 May 2026 16:13:59 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] platform/x86: sony-laptop: Check ACPI_COMPANION() against NULL MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Every platform driver can be forced to match a device that doesn't match its list of device IDs because of device_match_driver_override(), so platform drivers that rely on the existence of a device's ACPI companion object need to verify its presence. Accordingly, add requisite ACPI_COMPANION() checks against NULL to the platform/x86 sony-laptop driver.
